View 1 RepliesI am 30 years old and lately i've been having problems maintaining an erection. It has happened to me twice in the past 2 months and has never happened before. I have also noticed i have been waking up with no morning erections. Is this normal? My wife and I have been trying to conceive a child for 6 months and she is starting to feel like im not attracted to her anymore. Are there any vitamins or natural remedies out there i can take. I feel like I'm too young to be having ED and taking viagra.
View 4 RepliesI can recommend a reputable pharmacy. I've tried both original brand and generic Viagra. There is no difference in effectiveness as far as I can tell between the brand and Generic versions. The real difference is price, no comparison. And this suppliers seem honest and reliable. On the site I've just placed my 3rd order. Viagra from this site is indeed good for male erection problem treatment.

View 1 RepliesI have heard that there is a test that dermatologists can perform on your skin, and let you know what food is not good for you.
Has anyone try that?
Finally got my diagnosis of ulcerative colitis today. I'm vegan and eat a lot of fruit, veg, beans etc. and have read that a lot of these can worsen your symptoms, are there any other vegans out there who know which foods I should avoid?
View 3 RepliesI have to say that I never had any health issues or weight problems. I was always good looking. I remember when I gave birth to my second child, nobody couldn’t believe that I was so good looking. I don’t know what happened, but I started to eat everything. I mean, I do know. I went through divorce, and I was so depressed. I was eating everything. I was not disciplined in the food anymore. I was dreaming about pizza.
So, to stop this madness, I started to follow antiestrogenic food two weeks ago. Can you tell me, what are the best anti – estrogenic foods that you need to eat if you follow Anti – estrogenic diet?

View 1 RepliesI have been suffering with HS for over 23 years. They first started out as red bumps in the vaginal area. After repeated infections my doctor surgically removed the tissue. That didn't work. The lesions started appearing in the same location but on the opposite side. My physician didn't know what these bumps were and in 2009 he sent me to a dermatologist. She took one look and told me instantly that I had hidradenitis suppurativa. I was in shock. I read up on everything I could find. I was put on doxycycline for the next 4 years and was miserable. The anti-biotic would cause me to have yeast problems and subsequently I was put on diflucan to deal with the yeast. It was a never ending problem. Now my red bumps were rupturing and weeping. This was new for me.
I went online to read as much as I could about HS. I read medical information and blogs. It was highly informative. There was a commonality of humiliation and pain, depression and the desire to feel normal. One entry caught my attention. It was about a woman who had suffered from HS and finally went to a Naturopath. He gave her two food sensitivity tests,an IgE and an IeE. She found out what foods she was allergic to and immediately removed them from her diet. She is now HS free.
I couldn't afford to go see a Naturopath and so I decided to start on a diet of protein (chicken) and salad (basic lettuce, cucumbers with olive oil and vinegar), vegetables such as green beans, squash, carrots, english peas, broccoli, cauliflower. I removed eggs, dairy, gluten which is in bread and a myriad of foods which include flour. I also removed Nightshade veggies and fruits.
Once I was stable ...which took about a week, I added eggs. I had no flares. That food was safe. I then added dairy products, again no flares. I added beef and fish with no problems. I was anxious about adding flour/gluten back into my diet as I was sure that this was the food group that I was sensitive to. However, after introducing gluten back into my diet there were no flares. That left me with only one group to test and that was the Nightshade veggies and fruits. This group includes: white potatoes, tomatoes, peppers including paprika (not white or black pepper), gooseberries and goji berries. These foods have alkaloids in them to fight off bugs. Interesting?
So, I added foods from this group into my diet and ....I FLARED!! I finally had the information that I needed. I immediately went through my pantry and removed any and everything with red pepper, tomatoes, and paprika. Paprika is everywhere. It is in hot dogs, mayonnaise, mustard and seasonings. If you eat processed foods...beware as it is in everything. I learned to read all the labels of everything at the grocery store and even double check it once it was in my pantry.
I am in remission and I intend to stay there. My lesions are flat. All that exists are scars and I can live with that.
I am certain that HS is the body's response to a food that the body is allergic to. It is not due to "not being clean enough" or due to being overweight. It will only respond to antibiotics for a short term and then those fail to work. Topicals don't work either. I do believe that once HS comes into your life, it takes over everything that you love. I was a victim to this disease for too many years. I have now, taken back my life. You can change your diet and be free. I recommend that if you decide to find out what foods you may be allergic to in order to be free from this disease that you consider incorporating these supplements: turmeric (wonderful anti-inflammatory), zinc, vitamin c, a probiotic, and green tea for itching It is a natural anti-histamine.

Has anyone come across a useful site or poster which lists foods to avoid or limit when taking blood thinners?
I know Vitamin K rich foods are an issue & just want an easy reference guide so I can care for him in the best way I can.
I'm getting a little desperate here. For the last four days every time I attempt to eat solid food within 20 minutes I get extremely severe pain that begins behind the lower section of my rib cage on the left side of my body. The pain continues to increase and within minutes all of the muscles in my mid back start cramping. The symptoms continue for anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours. When they ease, I'm left feeling nauseated and my back feels bruised from the cramping. I can drink liquids without any adverse effect as long as I drink them slowly, but even minimal attempts at solid food cause problems. For instance, I was able to have a bowl of tomato soup eaten slowly over the course of an hour without having problems, and I was able to eat a bowl of chicken broth very slowly without triggering any pain. However, when I attempted to eat a bowl of cream of chicken soup with small chicken chunks in it, I got the pain and back cramps. Even something as simple as a piece of bread or a few bites of saltine crackers is enough to trigger the pain. The doctors have no clue what's wrong. One of them even tried to say it was gas. Umm, no, it's not gas. And I don't think it's an ulcer. I've been on Prilosec for years for GERD, and the pain doesn't feel like it's actually in my stomach. It feels higher and more to the left than where my stomach is. Has anyone else had to deal with anything like this?
View 14 RepliesI have a crazy idea to starve myself of solid food, or food entirely, for a period of time to see if my body can heal itself from internal hemorrhoids. I have had hemorrhoids for three years and they've gotten much worse this past year. I can remember a couple times when I didn't have a BM for a few days and remember feeling normal again.
A bit of background, I am willing to try anything to get back to feeling better. I have had a colonoscopy, five rubber band ligations for a total of eight rubber bands and a fissurectomy/ LIS. I eat 100% my daily value of fiber spread throughout every meal, have a BM twice a day, and have 3-6 sitz baths/ showers a day. I have tried every home-remedy or lifestyle change. Soreness and itching are my primary symptoms, with no blood. Doctors say I have only minor internal hemorrhoids (hemorrhoidectomy not recommended) but the symptoms are persistent and have caused me a significantly lower quality of life. What else is there to try? Would avoiding BM's give the body time to heal or just temporarily make me feel better?
I have been prescribed this drug and am due to take my first 2.5 mg on sunday evening. Now, after reading all this I am seriously doubting whether I will take it. Surely there must be a natural way to reduce BP..... has anybody tried Resperate?
View 3 RepliesI have had to start taking Citalopram again after being off it for 6 months. I am taking around 2 to 3 5mg diazepam a week for anxiety while waiting for it to kick in.
I have been taking Citalopram for 18 days. Are there any natural or less addictive meds I can take instead of diazepam? Read some where people say there are alternatives but not sure what they are.
I am interested on feedback on other's journey and method to a smoke free life. I have quit time and time again for a month to weeks at a time only to have a smoke again and then back at it..

View 40 RepliesI have been suffering from chronic pain since 2008 after I had my daughter, which triggered a downward spiral of health and pain. I currently have a laundry list of problems from rheumatoid arthritis, nerve damage in both hands, spinal stenosis, bulging disc, spondylosis from L1-L5 and both of my knee cartilage is "going out". My GP had tried me on any and all NSAIDS and that left me most of the time in the hospital for uncontrollable vomiting and severe abdominal pains. Steroids left me feeling like my head was spinning out of control. Finally my GP put me on hydrocodone 10/500, which at the time took the edge off the pain to where I could function and take care of my disabled daughter and family. After a while the pain started to get to out of control and the lortab was not cutting it so my orthopedic surgeon put me on oxycodone 20mg and somas 325 mg, 4x daily. WOW....I was able, to get myself out of bed and take care of my daughter, clean my house (a little at a time), cook, actually go grocery shopping and enjoy getting out all without my husband or family member helping or doing it for me. I have not been able to feel like a normal person in a long time and it felt better than the person I had became because of the chronic pain. So after 3 months of oxycodone, I go into my regular appointment and see signs everywhere stating (among with a couple other prescriptions) my doctor could no longer prescribe oxycodone. A few patients did not test positive for their meds and were caught selling them. So I was put on percocet 10/325, even though it's still oxycodone with acetaminophen I feel like I am back to taking hydrocodone 10 mg again, back to barely being able to handle the daily things I need to do. So after my long spell I have an appointment coming up in a week and was wanting to know if anyone has any knowledge or experience with something that is equal to oxycodone or something better? There has to be something else that can get a handle on my pain and if my OS can't prescribe oxycodone for me then I need to know what else is out there.

View 1 RepliesLong story short- I wake up after two hours of sleep and CANNOT get back; the feeling is awful and I'm like a zombie all day, not really alive, if you know what I mean.
About three years ago my doctor gave me Xanax, 2mg. They made me sleep through the night. Those pills saved my life. A friend of mine uses them as well, for over ten years for sleep.
At first I was scared to take more than one every few days. When I told my doctor he asked why I didn't just take them every night? I was afraid of becoming an addict. He said, "You gotta sleep, just take them whenever you need." So I take them every night. Life is great, they're only $4.00 a month from express Scripts.
Now they stopped working. Just like that. I'm told that happens, you build up an immunity or whatever. I have a program I set up myself to wean myself off of them- taking a .25 piece off every four weeks.
My doctor gave me something called Trazodone (50mg), that I'm supposed to take along with the Xanax until I'm completely free. It's uncomfortable as hell, but nothing like 'monkey's crawling on my back' or anything.
OK- to the question: What alternatives are there to Xanax? This Trazodone is NOT doing anything.
Is there anything that anyone's tried that I can take to sleep without it killing me by taking it with Xanax?
If I wean myself off of Xanax can the process be started over with Xanax, and maybe last another three years? I'm in complete zombie mode coming off Xanax from lack of sleep.
I've just been prescribed this pill - Yaz by my gynae. I have it for a month for the first time. I have read about its side effects that's why i am concerned and not willing to use it further. Please suggest which contraceptives are safe. I already have a baby and need to take a break of 2 years.
