View 1 RepliesMy last period was 10/1. I had cramping, sore breasts, and irritability leading up to what should have been my next period on 10/29, but to my surprise NO PERIOD! Having had three children already I know what the standard meaning of 'no period' is, but I had a tubal ligation 12 years ago so this puts a twist on the 'standard' meaning. I purchased a 3 pack of First Response pregnancy tests to put my mind at ease, but hella good that did, they were all negative! A week after my expected period I had light spotting and was relieved thinking I had just over reacted and the spotting would soon turn into a heavy flow, but the spotting was just that, spotting...now two weeks later I'm still with no period, heavy breasts, and all the other classic pregnancy symptoms. Has anyone else gone through this and if so what was your outcome?

View 1 RepliesI had a tubal ligation in march 2015. My period was normal for about 2 months but now it comes every other month. What could it be?
View 1 RepliesI've already posted on here before seeing that I could ask a doctor. I plan to call my doc tomorrow for an appointment. I had a tubal after my second son last April. I didn't have a period until he was about 4-5 months old, I'm assuming because I'm nursing. But since I started having periods they've been super heavy, lasting up to 12 days and only like 24-28 days apart which is normal, but right now I'm 29 days out, moody, headaches, hungry all the time, tired all the time, thirsty, waking up with hunger pains that turn into nausea. I just want to be normal, could you tell me what this could be?
View 1 RepliesI had 3 kids at 19, and had my tubes tied at 21. I am now 41. My husband and I stopped having sex for 4 years, and recently we started again (just a month ago). I noticed my monthly was a week late in Feb. and have yet to start this month. I was having issue when I urinated and went to get it checked, they gave me something that turned my urine orange. I have been wanting fried egg sandwiches, and noticed this morning that the dog food, (I feed every morning) made me so sick smelling it, then I got cat food on my hand and about vomited. Could it be possible that I am preg? Could this really happen. I have been having mood swings and crying spells as well. Menopause?
View 1 RepliesI had ovarian cyst on my right ovary, so it has been removed 7 yrs ago, and during that time, since i was out of work, and raising 3 kids is quite tough especially in financial considerations and my ex-hub has no work, i decided to have my other ovary ligated. However, now my fiance and i is craving for 1 more baby. He says he might be incapable already since we have been together for 3 yrs now, and yet i haven't got pregnant. We both would like to know if i still do have a chance of getting pregnant and how?
View 3 RepliesI had my third baby 2/15/11 and my bilateral tubal ligation 2/16/11. No complications after the laparoscopic surgery. Breastfed and formula fed together from the beginning, pumping from about 4 weeks to 6 weeks until I went back to work and supply diminished. Bled after birth until 5 weeks, when I had my post natal appointment. Started first period after that around 3 weeks later (baby was 8 weeks). It was 'normal' for me - lasted about 6 days, had cramps before and the first 2 days. All normal for me. I know my normal cycle because I had not been on BC for about 8-9 months before becoming pregnant and was very regular until the month before I got pregnant. So anyway, had my second period beginning may 6 and lasting til may 11. Again, all very normal for me. My husband and I had regular intercourse probably about every other day during the time I was not bleeding, with only the tubal ligation as birth control. 17 days after I stopped my second period, on may 23, I began spotting. It was very light, and I thought it was sex-related. It varied from brownish to light red to slight pinkish. The next day the same. The third day I needed a tampon, but only a light one. After that for a few days I bled more heavily, but not as heavy as the start of a normal period -- about how I normally would towards the second 1/2 of my regular periods. On most days during this I would go several hours with no bleeding and think it was all over. I went all last night with only a pantyliner which was ahem, not needed by the time I woke up this morning. However, I got to work and around 9am it started, very very light again. This is day 11.
Any ideas? Please no hijacking here, I am looking for some help.
I've called my GYN and left a msg for the MA or nurse to call me about it but that was yesterday morning and I've not yet heard back. . .
To mention, this long 11 days has had NO cramping whatsoever.
i had a filshie tubal ligation done in 2007 at the age of 26 and was wondering what the chances are of getting pregnant. my period normally visits me at the beginning of the month (within the first week) it is now the 24 and still no period is that normal?
View 1 RepliesI'm 40 yrs old and my tubes were clamped 21 yrs ago and I am feeling bloated, cramps in lower abdomen and no period this month, dizzy, nausea (bad mostly dry heaves), urinating a lot, vivid dreams, heartburn, mood swings and hungry at all times. But lost interest in sex. Am I pregnant?
View 1 RepliesI never really get my period late until last month. I usually get my period on the 13th (how ironic) and well, today is the 13th of a new month and I haven't gotten it today. Is this normal? I'm a virgin and all so, I don't know what do/ what's going on.
View 11 RepliesI first want to start out by saying that I had a tubal ligation after my twins were born 12/13/2006. I have four living children and one still birth.
My period was due to start on Tuesday (December 4th) it is now Friday (December 6). On Monday I had some very light spotting for a few hours and then it stopped. My period has yet to start. I know that there is a rare chance that the ligation did not take. How long should I wait before calling my ob doctor? What things should I keep an eye out for? Any suggestions would be great as this is scary to me since I know that there still is the chance for a tubal pregnancy and do not want to think of my children having to go through life without me.
Has anyone ever got pregnant after having a tubal ligation?

It is a heavy flow and most of the time clots are present but this month it came the day it was supposed to. On time. Only it was & is watery red/brownish, have lower back pain and cramping, headaches, nausea, very bloated. My boyfriend said I look like I was 3 months but lol I know that can't be. Please help. My flow is 4 days but on day 5 & still spotting. Not enough to use a pad or full a tampon. What could it be? I'm a very fertile before I had my tubes done I have had 7 pregnancies and 5 live births.
