hi doc whenever i blow my nose i see tiny microscopic red hairs with mucus like 1 or 2. is this blood or fiber? i put peroxide on it to see if it would turn brown but it just stays bright red. what can it be?
View 1 Replies38 weeks pregnant lost a tiny bit of mucus plug and sometimes feel pressure in pelvis/vagina area pushing down when im sitting and when i walk for i get pain in both sides of my thighs feels like a nerve is pulling which makes me bend. Im also getting hard stomach with no pain and i get light lower back pain. What is this? Please help.
* will i be dilated now that im having pressure? I went for a check up a week ago and midwife said my cervix is closed. What does that mean too?
Ok so I've had this problem for over 2 years, and its the biggest pain ever. I ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS feel Mucus in the back of my throat, I can't clear it away by just coughing it up, or spitting it out, I have to suck it in me. I really try to spit it out, but I can only spit it if I let it build up for awhile, other than that I have to suck it up, and while doing that I make a really annoying noise....something like blowing your nose really really hard, but even worse noise. I talked to my parents but they never believe me, they tell me: Its Psychological, and I've adapted a bad habit.But I SWEAR I can feel it always. We've been to a Allergist, and he said its maybe Sinus, or Post-nasal drip. He said the Mucus builds up in my nose, and drips down to the back of my throat...Although I can't feel the drainage from Nose to throat, but my nose is pretty blocked up. The Allergist said this started because of a past allergy, and I agreed. 2 years ago I had severe Allergy, and once the allergy left, this problem continued on till today.The Allergist recommended Nose drips, and Allergy medicines, but they never helped not even a bit. Next we went to a Nose and Throat Specialist, and she checked my nose and throat and said: Its Psychological, and I've adapted a dirty habit. But I SWEAR on my life, I feel it 24/7 in the back of my throat, but no one believes me not even the DOCTORS! What shall I do PLEASE help. This Mucus is always there, and by clearing my throat (Spitting, Sucking whatever), its makes a noise, that every hates, even MYSELF!!! PS. I tried drinking salt water and everything.

Last month he was having fever so doctor suggested me to go through CBC blood test and urine test.
The CBC count was normal except the wbc count was more.
In Urine test it found color yellow, protein present+, puss cells 9-10 and rbc 7-8.
Again doctor treated with some antibiotics. With the help of those antibiotics there was no fever.
Again after a week we went under urine test the result was same.
Till now 4 time urinalysis has been so far and the results vary from sometimes RBC is between 2-3 to 7-8, Puss cells between 1-2 to 9-10 and protein from trace to present+.
So my doctor referred to a Nephrologists.
Nephrologists asked to go for Abdomen test and the results were normal. This was done last week.
Today again we went for urine test still the results are same Color yellow, protein present+, puss cells 9-10 and rbc 7-8.
My Nephrologists told me that there is no problem as the protein level is low.
He told me to regularly do urine test every 3 months and keep a track of protein level.
He also suggested me not to go for kidney biopsy as it is not needed now.
So what could be the reason behind it and what should I do?
I am 54 year old female . I have had a trace of blood in my urine specimens at my yearly female checkups for the last 4 years. This year my dr. sent me to urologist.I am scared to death that if it is cancer, I've had it for this long.Anybody else had this symptom for 4 years and should I be worried?
View 2 RepliesRecently there are red blood cells in my urine every time my doctor tests it and my ultrasound showed that my right kidney had mild hydronephrosis. My doctor order me to have a CT scan (IVP protocol). I don't know if MRI scan is more efficient than CT.
View 1 RepliesI am a 27 year old female who has been on oral contraceptives for 7 years. I've never smoked and don't take any other medications. As part of a physical in June, my dr found microscopic blood in my urine. They did several retests and kept finding it. I had an ultrasound, cystoscopy, and CT scan. All were normal. My blood pressure has always been perfect. I have been referred to a urologist and they took a lot of blood without really explaining what they are looking for. Can you provide me with some insight? The dr did say she noticed a very small amount of protein but not enough to really bother her. This process has taken months and I never know how worried I am supposed to be.

Researching online I saw some posts saying that it is unusual for it to be more one side than the other and can be cancer! Now am worried sick. Please tell me your thoughts but please don't say stuff like go to the doctor.
View 5 RepliesI've noticed that I've been losing eyebrow hair as well as eyelash hairs recently. It became apparent after the first couple of weeks of college. It might be due to poor diet. I used to pull on them several months ago but I stopped that habit long ago. I've also noticed that the hair on my upper leg is "breaking". I noticed that a lot my hair was "cut" or gone. I can see new hairs growing on my leg but I'm worried about whether or not I might have a health condition.

View 1 RepliesIs it normal for menstrual cycles to be 36-59 days in length? For the past year this is what I've been dealing with, sometimes I will get a couple months where my cycle is 28 days but then the next 2 or 3 months it's out of whack again.
I've also got acne all over my chin, lower cheeks, and jawline. Before I started my period at age 13 I had perfect, almost porcelain skin. In the past year it's gone from bad to worse.
On my chin and neck I keep getting coarse black stray hairs that I have to constantly pluck. I've also got hair all over my neck that is so long I have to shave it. Is this "normal" for some women?
I also have those same black hairs on my breasts and chest area, not really patches but just random black hairs all over that I have to pluck (OUCH!).
My weight is also a problem, I was a small child but when became a teenager I started putting on weight, I am currently 5'1" and 160 lbs. Last June I put on about 15lbs in a week and a half without doing anything differently. I have worked out, tried to eat right and nothing will help me lose the weight.
I made an appointment with my doctor to address these issues but I just want to know, am I crazy? Are these things that happen to everyone or could there be something wrong with me? I don't want to go to his office and be looked at like a hypochondriac.
i believe that my daughter who is 9 yrs old has this condition and has been living with it since she was 4 of 5 yrs old.It started with mood swings which i just put down to a bad temper,how wrong was i when the breasts and pubic hair then started to appear.Until 12 1 08 i just thought my daughter was one of the unlucky few that had just started to develop early,but i saw a programme about prococious puberty and realised that my she has more than likely have this condition.Now my worries are for her childhood being no longer as child like as it is for her friends.I am also worried it may give children reason to bully her as it is so perfectly obvious that she is physically and mentally different to others.Unfortunetly we don't know of any one else with this condition so have nobody that understands,my daughter doesn't seem concerned about the changes tha are happening to her so i'm trying to be the same but it's difficult.She is far to young to be going through this.If there is any one that knows what it's like either as parent or was a youngster with the same please get in touch via this space. thanks.

SO, i started to shave young (pubic hairs..bikini line, vaginal area) at 12 or 13. And ever nice i started i would get these in grown hairs. I am half black - so i guess i am prone to that (curly hair growing inwards). But now almost my entirety of my inner thighs are covered with these dark marks and scars. And too many ingrown hairs. I am too embarrassed to go swimming, I never wear shorts because you can see them. Also I have these sick pimples down there... Waxing - - the scars are still there! When i was younger - i was dumb enough to pick at them and.. well it is just getting worse over the years. !

When I got home, I found a very small white spot on my scrotum that stuck out like a pimple. It was probably only a mm in diameter, and it hurt when I touched it. Today when I got home, I checked it again. Now it is way shorter and doesn't hurt as much, and it is red. Is this a pimple? Do you think the pimple head just fell off during the day?
View 1 RepliesFor about almost a year now i have had these bumps around the base of my penis, they are in clusters, they have been increasing in number and in size(not significantly). They are slightly raised from the skin. I have looked all over the web on what they could be but haven't found anything that looks like them. The larger one that is on the shaft has seemed to stop growing. My doctor noticed it when i went to get an std test awhile back, said it didn't look like a wart but he wasn't sure. He said he would have to take a biopsy of it to see. But then got off the topic of stds. He wasn't able to see the little bumps since i wasn't shaved. Now since i have shaved they are more noticeable.
View 1 RepliesI'm having a very weird problem for past week. tiny bits of chewed food when i swallow gets stuck back of my throat and takes time and effort to go down. However the problem of swallowing is not there with big chunk of food :S(when i swallow food without chewing much it will be fine.)
Also there is some pain like sore throat..
About a month ago, I got a few tiny bumps, or what appeared to be small blisters, on the top of my vagina. They slightly itched when irritated by my clothing, but if I touched them, rubbed them, or slightly itched them, it would kind of start to burn. I popped them in hopes of relieving some of the pain and irritation, which did seem to help. When I started googling what it could possibly be, everything lead the "Herpes." I am sexually active, but I am married and have been for two years now. My husband and I split up at the end of last year for about two months where we had both been with other people, me with one, him with two. So, seeing that these blisters automatically make people think herpes has me severely worried. I went to my doctor and they had already scabbed over by then, so she said she couldn't be completely sure, and to come back if they appeared again. Well, I noticed them again yesterday afternoon. It's a small cluster of about 5 of them. I left them alone until I went to bed (because I was very busy yesterday), but they started itching and bothering me in my sleep. I woke up and went to the restroom, where I popped them. It relieved some of the irritation, but they began to itch. I didn't mess with them, or even itch them. I just went back to sleep. Today I'm worried all over again about what this could possibly be. I set up an appointment with my doctor for later this afternoon, but I was hoping to possibly get some answers before then.
I do shave, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. My husband and I were tested by our doctors for STD's after we got back together and everything came back negative, except for Chlamydia, which we got treated for. So, I'm really hoping it's not herpes.

View 1 Repliesi've noticed tiny white spots on my penis shaft. about two yrs ago i was watching an episode of the "Dr.s" or whatever with my girlfriend,the episode had a segment about pearly papules. since then i've been inspecting my penis for any changes. I've always had tiny white bumps under the shaft side of my penis ever since i was a kid. but never comin along the base or mid shaft area. ive researched everything i could find online. but every picture i see looks way different than what i see on my penis.
some of the spots are there one day and the next they shrink or get smaller. one has gotten big enough for me to pop..and when i did puss came out like when you pop a pimple then blood and after a little more squeezing a hard white very tiny ball comes out.
from the looks of it i'm thinkin they may be some sort of cysts from pictures i've seen. they don't break open and scab over like herpes and they don't resemble any kind of warts i've seen online, not even the mildest of cases.
