I am a 44 year old woman and believe I have just entered menopause or perimenopause. I went to my gyno for my well woman checkup and she said she was concerned bc my lining was so thick (25 mm). I had not had a period in 2 months, but just starting leaking a watery fluid. She was immediately fearful of cancer, but I have recently had my period. If my lining is no longer as thick, should I still be worried about cancer?

I am a fit, average weight 32 year old woman. Roughly 5 or 6 years ago, I began spotting blood between periods. This would occur after exercise sometimes, or maybe after rough bedroom activities. It was only ever a few drops and didn't really bother me.
It has continued since then. My periods also became heavier the past few years. 3 years ago, I thought I should ask my gyn doctor about this, since I was also having vaginal dryness and loss of libido in my 20s.
So, for 3 years in a row, I've had normal paps, and normal transvaginal ultrasounds performed, STDs checked, all with good results except that the lining of my uterus was a bit thick. My doctor never seemed concerned about it, just giving me a blank "Your guess is as good as mine, see you in a year!" face.
This last ultrasound, a month ago, showed the still-thick lining but also some increased blood flow to the area. Now I have to go back for a saline infused ultrasound to see if they can find a polyp, though there is no indication there is one. It's a guess on my doctors part.
I asked her what would happen if there was no polyp, and she said we'd be back at square one.
So, I'd like to know if I should be freaking out right now. Doctors NEVER take my symptoms seriously (I have severe digestive issues, as well) because I LOOK really healthy at a glance, and a couple have actually told me this. I am worried that my doctor is not taking this seriously enough as all the research I've done on my own indicates precancerous possibilities, etc.
I'm not made of money, and pursuing my illnesses freely is no longer an option as I can't afford to shell out money for different doctors all the time. I would like to know, based on your knowledge and/or experience, if you believe I should invest in a second opinion.
I am also open to an elective hysterectomy, which may sound odd, but I do not ever want children so I don't really care for my bothersome reproductive organs that seem to be a ticking timebomb and nothing more for me. Any opinions on that?

I was having some bleeding for about 3 weeks and it is being investigated now. I had ultrasound, biopsy (awaiting results) but I am just looking for my options. If they find something bad in the biopsy of course it looks like a hysterectomy. But if nothing shows I,m still stuck with the thick lining and bleeding. I have heard horror stories about the ablation, and I have heard its not a good idea with a previous C-section. My doctor thought I may be lacking progesterone or in fact estrogen dominant. I am currently taking progesterone to help with the bleeding for 10 days. It is working well and I feel great, and other symptoms I was having have stopped. Anyone have a D @ C with or without hormone therapy and did it help. I am 47.5 years old and if I can just coast for a few years until menopause I may be able to avoid a hysterectomy.

Worried. Going in next week for D&C and hysteroscopy. (Whatever that is)
Had a biopsy 2 years ago and came out ok. I am 60 years old with prolapse
level 3 cystocele. Was getting bladder infections every 3 months and seems like I was always on antibiotics which I am starting to get immune to. Not sure if I should be getting a D&C or just another biopsy. No bleeding at all. Also they are giving me General ANESthesia which don't know if this is the right choice. Also how long do you need to stay home after before returning to work? REally appreciate your help. Scared!!! May need repair lift or hysterectomy. Not sure which one or if should take out ovaries of leave in and just do lift. Just don't know what to do. Don't like pessaries

Does anyone know if a thick endometrial wall can thin out even if you don't get any bleeding? Like a mentioned in a past post, my endometrium thickness is 15mm, it's been almost a month since it was last seen on the US. Is it possible it could have shrunk?

I've been having bleeding in between periods since July but also had it a couple of years ago for about 6 months. I had smear tests etc back In 2011 all was ok and I was told I Had an erosion too. I also had a pelvic Scan and the uterus lining was 15mm.
But I was told all was ok. Bleeding Stopped but then it started about 5 Months ago it's light and usually starts a few days after my period has Finished and lasts a few days.
I went to the doctors a couple Of weeks ago the doctor looked at my Cervix and she said that was clear then she booked me in for another pelvic Scan I had that 2 weeks ago and the Uterus lining was 19mm I've got to See a gynae tomorrow and I've been Told I'll probably have to have a hysteroscopy or d&c.
I'am 35 I have 9 children 7 normal. Births and 2 by c-section. I have been so worried and keep going Online and that's gets me even more Worried.

I had bloodwork and an ultrasound performed because I had some post period bleeding for the first time last month and I've been having some digestive issues (constipation, general discomfort but not consistent).
I met with the gyn today and he is recommending a uterine biopsy because my uterine wall is 7mm. No other remarkable findings on the ultrasound. He is calling me menopausal because my estradiol was 17 and my FSH was 75. However, I am still getting my period, albeit they are not regular (24 days, 29 days, 32 days but still monthly).
How can I be menopausal if I am still getting a period? The blood test was performed on day 12 of my cycle and the u/s was done on day 20.
Also, I had an u/s done back in November but no blood test and my lining was 9.2.
I am confused and thinking of getting a second opinion. I really don't want to do an invasive biopsy if it isn't absolutely necessary.

I had the NovaSure procedure done over three years ago. I had my tubes tied eight years ago. I'm getting married and my fiancé, who doesn't have children, would like to have a baby. I still have a period, however, it's minimal to none (only brown discharge for four to five days). I've heard that doctors won't reverse your tubes unless you have enough of a uterine lining. Last ultrasound I had showed a good lining. I'm not sure if it was enough of one to sustain a pregnancy. I really want to know what my options are.

A few days before my period, I had a condom rip. I'm on birth control but still took a plan B. Even so, the period was missed. Took a pregnancy test 2 days after the usual period day and it showed negative. About a day later, I started having a thick pink discharge and after a few days of that, brown discharge. Any idea as to what is going on?

I am 23 yrs old and i have this problem that i have a white discharge from my vagina.
sometimes the quantity is less and sometimes more and sometimes doesnt happen. sometime back i got white thick discharge which was watery but it got stretched. i was like a chewing gum which i could take out by pulling off my vagina. after it dried on panty, showed as light yellowish lump or so. it also came out after bowel movement or even pee.. the quantity got lesser on its own , then i had my xams and that time it again started but was not the type i told, it was just simple liquid which when dried got into flakes.
after that for sometime it almost stopped except for after orgasm.
currently its like usual discharge but in a lesser quantity only.( also i got more red lumps like small mass during my period flow)
i dont know and worried regarding this. is it normal?
ALSO The second thing is that when i get aroused the vagina gets wet but now it pains while getting wet naturally unlike before.

Hi all, I am 30years old and recently went an ultrasound scan where they found a "large subserosal fibroid posterior into the right side of the uterine body measuring 7.9 x 8.5 cm." My gp referred me to a specialist and they could not fit me into an appointment for another two weeks. So, of course I made the appointment, but I can not wait for two weeks to know what this means! I was hoping that there might be somebody on here who has had a similar experience with a fibroid of this size and position, that could tell me what options were recommended by their specialist. Is this something which will have to be removed, and if so, is that going to be a procedure which will require bedrest and time off work, or is it a fairly simple outpatient procedure?

Did any of you mommies have your breasts go back to normal after nursing or did they stay a bigger size naturally?

I've bled more or less continuously since starting ESMYA although admittedly it was heavier the first 2 weeks. However, following last Friday night when I couldn't sleep because of abdominal pain I started bleeding heavily again on the Saturday. Thing is, it's not constant. I seem to have these totally unpredictable random episodes of bad flooding immediately followed by a rush of loads of large clots. It's totally debilitating, not to mention the mess and I have no confidence to leave the house. Has anyone else experienced this? I wonder if it's another period as the timing would be right?

Today is Day 11 for me after surgery and I have been taking it relatively easy but due to boredom decided to do a little ironing today and then I went with my mother to the supermarket. I was going very slow and relying on the trolley to go round but it was a bit of a struggle. I'm now home feeling very tired even though we only got a few things and were not very long.
My question is how soon did you ladies attempt something like this? Did you find t a real struggle. I've been told I should stay active and try to walk a little every day but I couldn't wait to get back home and in bed! Also i get this funny almost numb sensation in my tummy just above my scar. When I touch my tummy I can feel every touch But it's also almost like the area is a little numb. Is this normal? Is it due to all the swelling and bruiskng inside??! I hope to god that there isn't anything wrong and it's just part of the healing process

Since last 01 year, I am suffering from acute pain around the vagina. MRI explained that Fibroid over uterus, sigmoid colon and uterus are cohesive with each other. Doctors have different opinion. Help me to diagnose the problem and find out the actual reason of pain.

OK, not weight loss exactly, but a reduction in size!
I'm down to have uterine artery embolization this year, but I look at various forums and women have said they've noticed 'a slight reduction'.
I had wished to go back to my usual dress size - naturally this is not a priority for the NHS, which I fully understand, but what is the best procedure to have the 'bulge' completely disappear?
Asked the hospital, but they were quite rude about it all. Is there anyone who's had this procedure done? Did it completely go?
