Thick Mucus-like Breakthrough Bleeding On Mononessa
Jun 12, 2016
I've been on mononessa for about 8 months now. I've never had any problems. But for the last three days I've had breakthrough bleeding in the form of thick mucus-like junk, but only small amounts. It's much less than my normal period. I've been having mild cramps too. This started a week from starting the placebo pills, which last month I skipped. My husband and I last had intercourse about a week before this happened. I always take my birth control, varying the time at most by a couple hours. If I take it at that time, we don't have intercourse. Should I be concerned about pregnancy?

I've had two depo shots. I got the first in June 2015, the next in September and I'm due for another one at the end of November. I experienced light bleeding/spotting during months July-Sept. After my second shot in Sept, I began to experience mild/heavy bleeding. It is said that bleeding would most likely stop after 6 months of using depo-provera.Should I wait it out or change birth control method?

I keep having catarrh with thick yellow mucus always. Sometimes, the odor coming out of my throat stinks offensively. What is the problem and how do I tackle it?

So I've really been through it with my GERD and I've had a year and a half of hell. I'm just starting to see some improvements but now I've got this thick mucus at the back of my throat that gets stuck there, I can't swallow it as it doesn't move much but when I cough it does come up, then slips back down.
I'm constantly having to cough and clear my throat, the mucus tends to sit right near my gag reflex so it's always uncomfortable!

So I have been bleeding on and off and passing mucus with my stool for 5/6 Years I'm 24 years of age and have did 6 stool tests in the last 3 months.
3 weeks ago I did a stool test where the inflammation level was 77.5 so doctor who thought it was ibs was not worried as I didn't have a high enough inflammation level for it to be anything serious but me being me wanted a colonoscopy just to be sure there is nothing sinister going on. So he persuaded me to do one more stool test this time my inflammation level went up to 255 am now Booked in to the gastroenterology department at the hospital I think for a colonoscopy!
Now ow I have only had bright blood in stools never dark or congested blood and often pass mucus in/on the stool too,I have no real abdominal pain in the tummy but I do pass wind quite regularly so the main worry is what diseases/conditions will a colonoscopy look for?.. Obviously Colon Cancer but what else....when the doctor told me the results over the phone she mentioned see if the inflammation it due to gastroenteritis or piles..

My boyfriend and I of 4 years have sex without a condom, but I'm on the birth control pill, mononessa. I take prescription pills that my doctors said would make my birth control less effective, and I had my period Oct. 13- Oct. 17. At some point from the 20th-24th I believe we conceived. I had cramping, my lower back hurts, I'm extremely moody, I'm tired, my breasts/nipples are sore, I have constipation, and my chin is starting to get a few pimples and I have always had clear skin. Last year on Oct. 13 my boyfriend and I found out I was pregnant with our first child and I had a miscarriage Nov. 3. With that pregnancy, I didn't have many symptoms, just mood swings, sore breasts, eating aversions, and heightened sense of smell. I can't take a pregnancy test until the 7th of Nov., but I was wondering if it could be possible. The last time I got pregnant, I was taken off my birth control by my doctors for an idiotic reason, and I got pregnant very quick. It was a week or two after they took me off, I must have gotten pregnant.

I'm going to be making the switch from MonoNessa (pill) to the Implanon arm implant. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experiences with it and what kind of side effects they experienced. I'm terrible at remember to take the pills, so they just weren't practical for me, but I want to make sure I'm not making a mistake as I have heard horror stories of women losing fertility after using Implanon.

I just switched from Mononessa to Tri-Sprintec and I'm trying not to worry about the fact that I haven't spotted yet (two days into the placebo pills) though I've had other symptoms of my period (gassy, bloated, etc.). Can switching birth controls delay my period? I don't want to worry myself yet about being pregnant though I'm 98% sure I can't be..

I have been taking mononessa for almost an entire month. (I have 4 pills left then the reminders). I'm still suffering from severe stomach pain and nausea. Tonight I waited til almost bed time to take it hoping that it will help some. Has anyone else been on this stuff and had similar side effects? I'm to the point where if I am taking it at night and still nauseous all day I will have to stop taking it. Other options?? I need advice. I'm seriously considering tubal ligation but I've battled my weight for the last 3 years. I do not want to put any extra pounds on.

I have been taking the brand MonoNessa of birth control combined pills for almost 2 years now, at the same time every night (I have an alarm on my phone set to ring at the time to take it). I started taking them because my periods were so irregular.
I'm not supposed to start my period until next Tuesday/Wednesday, but this morning i woke up and as i was in the bathroom noticed some watery blood on my underwear, the same kind i get the day before my period usually begins. I put a pad on and just now I went back and noticed dark brown discharge on the pad. Is this what is called spotting/breakthrough bleeding on the pill?
My boyfriend and I are sexually active, but we don't always have sex, preferring to do other things. However when we do have sex we always use condoms. This month we have not had any sex at all, again preferring other things.
I can honestly say I have never experienced this before on the birth control pills. BUT I have experienced this before I started taking the pills. I have had perfect "periods" every month that start on the same day and have the same symptoms. Currently I have 0 symptoms of what my pill period is usually like.
Like any young adult who is startled by something appearing for the first time I immediately googled my symptoms and found that a lot of other people seemed to have dealt with this before. But now I would like a professional on here to give me some much needed advice; is this normal? I am pretty sure I am not pregnant, since we didn't have sex this month and the times we did do stuff the semen was no where near my vagina. Is any birth control pill supposed to do this? This has never happened to me before. Will it happen again? And can I expect my normal period to still happen even though I'm having this stuff today?

I am a 44 year old woman and believe I have just entered menopause or perimenopause. I went to my gyno for my well woman checkup and she said she was concerned bc my lining was so thick (25 mm). I had not had a period in 2 months, but just starting leaking a watery fluid. She was immediately fearful of cancer, but I have recently had my period. If my lining is no longer as thick, should I still be worried about cancer?

I am a fit, average weight 32 year old woman. Roughly 5 or 6 years ago, I began spotting blood between periods. This would occur after exercise sometimes, or maybe after rough bedroom activities. It was only ever a few drops and didn't really bother me.
It has continued since then. My periods also became heavier the past few years. 3 years ago, I thought I should ask my gyn doctor about this, since I was also having vaginal dryness and loss of libido in my 20s.
So, for 3 years in a row, I've had normal paps, and normal transvaginal ultrasounds performed, STDs checked, all with good results except that the lining of my uterus was a bit thick. My doctor never seemed concerned about it, just giving me a blank "Your guess is as good as mine, see you in a year!" face.
This last ultrasound, a month ago, showed the still-thick lining but also some increased blood flow to the area. Now I have to go back for a saline infused ultrasound to see if they can find a polyp, though there is no indication there is one. It's a guess on my doctors part.
I asked her what would happen if there was no polyp, and she said we'd be back at square one.
So, I'd like to know if I should be freaking out right now. Doctors NEVER take my symptoms seriously (I have severe digestive issues, as well) because I LOOK really healthy at a glance, and a couple have actually told me this. I am worried that my doctor is not taking this seriously enough as all the research I've done on my own indicates precancerous possibilities, etc.
I'm not made of money, and pursuing my illnesses freely is no longer an option as I can't afford to shell out money for different doctors all the time. I would like to know, based on your knowledge and/or experience, if you believe I should invest in a second opinion.
I am also open to an elective hysterectomy, which may sound odd, but I do not ever want children so I don't really care for my bothersome reproductive organs that seem to be a ticking timebomb and nothing more for me. Any opinions on that?

I had a blood test today as I'm being tested for Crohn's disease and a load of allergies however my blood was really thick and gloopy and would flow even the nurse said that it was unusual. She couldn't get much blood out either as it would flow so ended up having to use bottles that they use for babies because there nearly any blood. I'm just wondering what this could mean or if anyone else has had this before?

I was having some bleeding for about 3 weeks and it is being investigated now. I had ultrasound, biopsy (awaiting results) but I am just looking for my options. If they find something bad in the biopsy of course it looks like a hysterectomy. But if nothing shows I,m still stuck with the thick lining and bleeding. I have heard horror stories about the ablation, and I have heard its not a good idea with a previous C-section. My doctor thought I may be lacking progesterone or in fact estrogen dominant. I am currently taking progesterone to help with the bleeding for 10 days. It is working well and I feel great, and other symptoms I was having have stopped. Anyone have a D @ C with or without hormone therapy and did it help. I am 47.5 years old and if I can just coast for a few years until menopause I may be able to avoid a hysterectomy.

I'm 14 1/2 and I started growing hairs around my nipples a few months ago. There's a complete circle on the left breast and nearly on the right. There are 46 hairs on the left and 29 on the right. They are dark and thick and some are quite long. I tried to pluck them out but it hurts. I am still developing. Will there be more? I'm the only girl in my class who has this.

I have a white thick sticky discharge. There is a lot of it. I have never seen this before. Me and my husband are trying to conceive and I ovulated last week. could this mean I am pregnant. I start my period on the 9th of every month so I know it is not the beginning of my period I am always on time and never late... I just had my yearly and i have no infections, std's, or problems so I know this is not what is wrong at all.
