Today I coughed, one single cough, and had a shooting pain around my right ovary. I am a mother of a 8 month old. And intercourse is very painful.

I have just been diagnosed with shingles for the first time. Feels as though I have a boulder in my eye and the pain shooting through my head is excruciating. Have got a few blisters around my eye and am praying my eye sight will not be affected. Am taking Acyclovir, Paracetamol and an anti inflammatory. I am currently experiencing a burning sensation on the entirety of my left arm, and an intermittent, shooting pain travels from my elbow into my wrist and hand every little while as well. I just noticed those red bumps today and thought it may be connected with my pain, which has lasted for a day and a half now. The burning sensation is aggravated by touch.
Note that I have never had chickenpox before, I was vaccinated.
So am I getting shingles? Should I stay home tomorrow to go to a physician?

From the age of 8-14 i was seen at hospital for Scoliosis for years i would have x rays and check ups, since then nothing? confused! because i was young i only know that i have a lower curve of my spine (sorry don't know technical words).
More recently i complained of lower back pain which my doctor agreed and gave me co codamol as nothing i was taking worked. I am also currently waiting for a physio appointment as my dr said that it may help? not sure but i will try it, however that has been 3 weeks and i still have heard nothing!
Since complaining of lower back pain though i am now having more problems, the spasms are becoming more frequent and shooting up my back and making me gasp when they are bad, these are slowly getting worse. Again i spoke with my doctor and he didn't seem concerned, i however am.
I am working and it is a desk job but i can walk around and split the length of sitting down. Also a hot water bottle does help when i am at home at work is slightly more difficult. I currently have to sleep with a pillow under my back so i am more comfortable. I am also sleeping separately from my hubby as his mattress is way too soft for me to sleep on.
This is driving me mad and i just need the pain to stop. Can anyone offer advice please?
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome :: Ovary / Stomach Burning Flare Up
I'm 37 years old. I've been diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease) when I was 25. My symptoms include: weight gain, water retention, leg swelling, hair loss, awful hirsutism, bloating, periodically growing cysts, and periodic urinary tract pain.
I don't eat red meat and dairy. I try to limit processed carbohydrates consumption (bread, pasta etc). I sometimes eat soy products but they don't go well with my thyroid. I don't exercise enough.
All the above mentioned symptoms have gotten worse in the last 13 months. I have a "beard" that I need to remove at least twice a week. I went from 125 lbs (56 kg) to 139 lbs (63 kg)! I can't fit into my clothes at all. My calves get so swelled during the day, I gave up wearing boots in winter and wearing skirts, because the look huge.
Right now, I'm having one of my "flairs". My right ovary is burning and so is the rest of my abdomen, urinary tract included.
Doctors are always happy with my results. And oddly enough my blood tests always come back normal. Hormones included, except the estrogen that seems to be on the (acceptably) lower side. I haven't tested my levels of DHT. (My doctors never prescribe that test. Well, they never prescribe the one for estrogen; I paid for that one myself a few weeks ago). Whenever I have an ultrasound they confirm the PCOS as well as the fact that my right ovary is enlarged. But they’re never worried.
My thyroid therapy seems to be off. My endo changed it two months ago, from levothyrox to euthyral (combination of T3 and T4). And I don't feel great. I always feel a lump in my throat. I'm experiencing lack of energy and enthusiasm (too little thyroid hormone), along with occasional heart palpitations (too much thyroid hormone). It was supposed to make me feel better and help the weight loss. It made me feel worse with the mixed symptoms of hypo and hyper thyroid.
I'm thinking about fasting (juice/water), going raw, eating only during 8H a day (mostly veggies nad fish), eliminating gluten all together.

Ovulation And Ovaries :: Pain On Right Ovary And Light Bruise?
This whole day I've had really light pain and discomfort on my right ovary, I press down and it hurts a little, there is a very light bruise the color of my skin but just a bit darker. I'm expecting to have my period on the 23rd. I am 18 years old and sexually active. I also have hyperthyroid disease and don't really take my medication. I started bleeding a little over a day ago but it was a very faint light brown/pink color. I'm afraid it could be implantation bleeding but I could also be over thinking or just paranoid. Some months I don't get my period at all, last time I got my period was on the 25th of July. Could this be an ovarian cyst or a sign of pregnancy? Or just cramping before I get my period? I was thinking about going to the doctor but the pain isn't severe or that bad to actually go.

Does anyone have problems with occipital neuralgia? I have been having headaches everyday going on 7 months now that are dull and cause shooting head pain. It travels from my neck, to the top of my head, behind my ears, and behind my eyes. I have had MRI's and CT scans, and everything has come back normal. I have gone to PT for 4 months and had 2 nerve blocks. Nothing has given me relief. I went to a new doctor yesterday and he suggested that I may have occipital neuralgia. I am desperate to hear about what has helped other people and to hear about how everyone else copes with this/if it has gotten better.

I started last week noticing shooting leg and butt pain went to Chiropractor and seemed fine.
Then about 2 days ago went into bad wicked leg cramp(left side of body)and very bad stabbing back pain .
went to dr who says it's pinched she has me on cyclobenzaprine aka Flexeril hcl 10 mg 2 per day I took it at 4pm and Tramadol hcl 50i took at 6pm mg every 6 hrs have done that today plus bath/heat pad , icy hot spray, mineral ice and cold ice pack, everything I've done seems to make it worst or just not help . The heat and cold treatments seem to make it worst and aggravate the pain into cramp like symptoms
Wondering how normal that is have tossed out back before and muscle relaxers put me to sleep and make it go away this isn't even helping. I find laying painful standing walking are near in possible and extremely painful to the point it makes me want to cry literately like a throbbing stabbing pain ,sitting seems to be better then laying but not buy much.
unsure how to describe this part but when walking what little bit I do back has a odd pop sensation and leg and back starts to spasm to the point i can't put weight on leg or move.
Wondering if anyone has any home treatments or advice.
As i find this can't be normal after that many pills to feel still worse then when I went to the doctor. i'm in central time so pills are still hrs away from me taking more

I was diagnosed PCOS around 1 year ago.
I was prescribed a month ago some Metformin and I was advised by the doctors I would have a bleed so far this has not happened for me, can someone tell me if it induced a bleed for them? My periods are extremely irregular my last one was December and before that I don't even know! Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Symptoms? I May Have It
I've looked into the symptoms of pcos and I think I may have it. I'm 22, 5'7, very slim but in the past year or so I've come out in dread full acne all over my back, shoulders and tops of arms, chest and face. I also have hair all over my stomach which I've had for quite sometime, and now it's growing up to my chest . I feel so hideous!! Saw my GP a few weeks ago as the spots are very sore and she just said it's one of things and refused to prescribe me the pill as I'm not in a proper relationship!!! She didn't look at my back or chest she just looked at my face and said yes there are spots there and printed me off a sheet about pms which is from this website and pretty much said on ya bike!
I know it can affect fertility which I would be livid about.
