Painless Red Spot On The Upper Part Of My Nose
Oct 16, 2013
So I have this red/pink 'spot' on the upper part of my nose (just slightly below, for instance, where your glasses would sit on). It's not exactly a spot, other than it's circular and red, it's flat and painless. With some concealer you wouldn't see it as the skin is not raised. It's about 5 mm in diameter.
Now the issue is that is has been there for at least 3 months... and because my skin is very fair, this red/pink circular mark is very visible! It doesn't do anything, doesn't change shape or grow. It just sits there looking red and rosy.
Can you help shed light on what it is? How can I get rid of it? I've googled around for answers, possibilities are broken blood vessels/veins under the skin.

I'm a 27 year old male with no serious issues in my medical history. A few weeks ago, I woke up with a pain in the upper right part of my jaw that hurt when I opened my mouth too wide or moved it from side to side. The next day, it seemed to be fine. A couple days later, the pain was back, and has stuck around. It doesn't hurt when my jaw is in a neutral position or even really when I eat. The pain is high in the jaw, kind of by my ear. I THINK it has gotten better over the last couple days; I don't seem to have any pain opening my mouth wide (just the side to side movement, etc), though it's possible that this is just wishful thinking and that maybe I'm just avoiding painful movements.
I don't think I grind my teeth, but I do have anxiety and perhaps clench my jaw sometimes without realizing it? I'm not sure, but I've been thinking of it as a TMJ-related problem. Only recently have I considered that maybe it's a wisdom tooth that needs to be removed. I know the only way to truly figure this out would be to get an in-person diagnosis from a medical professional, but I have very bare-bones insurance and limited funds to cover costs. As I understand TMDs often go away on their own, though, if it seems more like that than a wisdom tooth, I'd just as soon wait and see.
The pain isn't having a concrete impact on my life right now -- I'm eating and speaking without any problems. It's just frustrating and always in the back of my mind. There are some clicking/grinding sounds sometimes when I move my mouth, which leads me to think it is related to the TMJ. I also have heard that the pain relating to a wisdom tooth is pretty intense -- really a "you know it when you have it" kind of thing.

I have a small, smooth and shiny red spot on the underside of my penis shaft that is about a 1/2 inch in diameter. If I push the skin together the skin gets white and very wrinkly. When I first noticed it there was a very, very small amount of dry flaking skin on it. It isn't elevated at all and the border isn't defined. It isn't painful and it doesn't itch, but it just has that look that something isn't right and I'm worried. I have no other symptoms of STD's and I went to a clinic only for them to tell me that it looks like skin irritation. I noticed it about 6 hours after I had protected sex, but I do remember the condom was starting to unroll and that spot was exposed. Also, the same time I noticed the rash, I had a sore throat and I felt rather ill that day. I suppose that could be coincidental but I am very worried. Any ideas?

Okay, so about a month ago me and my girlfriend started having sex. We're both 18. She lost her virginity but before that I had sex once 2 years before that. All times we had sex in the past month I been extra careful and using protection since we been doing it. Last friday i noticed a small white head pimple on the shaft of my penis and i was thinking like "what is that"? but i stopped messing with it. that Saturday i had sex again with my girlfriend PROTECTED and the next day I noticed a red flat PAINLESS spot on the same place I seen that pimple and today it looks like a scab and when I mess with it, it looks white. I'm like what the hell is that. and for the whole week I've been freaking out and depressed and worried that it's an STD. but I don't see how that was possible if I used a condom at all times and she was a virgin. Can someone answer me please? I'm like so worried right now.

I'm a 20 year old smoker who does an awful job at brushing her teeth. I've gone months due to my depression without taking care of my mouth but started brushing everyday since I've found these raised tiny dots on the upper corners of the mouth. they're a pale yellow and they're the size of a pen point, maybe even smaller. I also have a patch on both sides of the inside of my cheeks which recently spread to the corner of my bottom lip on the left side. they don't hurt at all, they don't ooze nor do they bleed or scab. I can't pop them either. when I first discovered them they would sometimes expand about a size or two, turn white and then painlessly pop. this has only happened the first four days they first appeared. it's been two weeks and if anything they have just spread. sometimes they even feel raised and a bit rough when I push my tongue to them then later in the day it will feel like nothing is there or back to their normal size. I was told these were fordyce spots but I am unsure due to their behavior. I know this isn't contagious because I made out with my partner when these first appeared and he's still fine. I also have a small clear sack on the inside of my cheek on both sides near my bottom teeth. can anyone confirm that these are fordyce spots? if they are what would you recommend. if not what could these little pests be?

I don't know to explain this... as long as I remembered i'm suffering this when I was still in college. Now i'm working for almost ten (10) years now. Here's my concern: Every morning (not all times, but most often) in my nose there is always a spotted while spot like lesions grouped together then after I took a bath it leaves a red spot that makes my nose reddish appearance.

i'm having really bad anxiety about this and it goes away when i don't think about it or focus on it, could this just be a side effect of anxiety?

I get a nose polyp more on one side of nose than the other, also the ear on that side also has a lot more problems with blockages and pain and whatever. Researching online I saw some posts saying that it is unusual for it to be more one side than the other and can be cancer! Now am worried sick. Please tell me your thoughts but please don't say stuff like go to the doctor.

Did anyone ever notice to suddenly appear on the arm a small spot of deep wine color of the size of a little fingernail? Then I believe with time it turns brown. Yes, I'm a senior and I'm afraid these are old age spots, but I'm puzzled that they should appear as a wine color. I only noticed this twice in my life. My other age spots appear just brown.

A couple of years ago I noticed a brownish spot appeared next to my belly button. A friend told me it was probably just an age spot / liver mark (although I am 20). Yesterday, I noticed it was flaking off and itchy. Today, it looks like this. Reddish but white in the middle. I'm really concerned and have been anxious over this since last night. Does anyone know what this could be?? (The redness around my navel has been there for a while too.)

I am still in the process of being diagnosed with RA but my doctor is very sure that it is, I've been referred to a rheumatologist. Is it normal to bruise easily as part of having RA? And for the bruises to last longer than normal?

so I went to my doctor since I've suffered pain since February 2012 following an injury in pe class. At the time it was put down to a not bad sprain, worsened by not using the affected wrist. I finally persuaded my mum we should do something since it hadn't cleared up after all this time. He said its raynauds, wear gloves, you'll be fine, etc etc. however, the pain has only worsened since then, the temperature of my wrist and hand has continued to decrease, the pain spreads towards my elbow/shoulder at times and I'm noticing a definite decrease in ability to use my affected wrist. It is difficult to write, open things, turn pages, and most seriously of all my daily journey on the bus is near impossible due to the pain of holding on to the bar. Is all this a consequence of primary raynaud's or is my doctor wrong?
I'm experiencing some colour change on the lower part of my fingers too, which I know is a definite sign of raynaud's.

I have health anxiety and it is literally ruining my life! I am obsessed with checking every part of me to find changes and when I do find something it's intense fear and panic like impending doom. I can't remember the last time I woke up and felt like I wasn't unwell. I am on a counsellor waiting list just don't know what to do in the meantime. Anyone else suffer this bad? Please only genuine sufferers reply as this is embarrassing enough as it is. I have never told anyone about my real problems with fear of being ridiculed.

I am 25 years old, married and 3 months pregnant. In august of this past year I had a Pap smear that came out fine and normal. I then noticed these two small bumps on the inside part of my labia majora. They are not next to each other or in a cluster. When I pull the lab is outwards, it seems they are on the same row as little pores. The two bumps are flat, one is a little darker in color and the other is the color of my skin. They are both flat, do not hurt, soft to touch, but one sometimes gets "swollen" and resembles a skin tag. These have not spread anywhere, my husband does not have any, and two weeks ago I had another normal Pap smear. Is it possible these are HPV?

About 5 days ago, I had a red bump show up on my penis. Is is circular and seems to have a crater on it. Sometimes is has a clear discharge. I hadn't had sex in months previous to it showing up. But I got it checked out by planned parent hood today and the lady said althought it sort of looks like herpes, the area does not itch, not is it sore or painful to the touch. Also it's a single lesion. She didnt even bother to swab and culture this.
Does this seem fishy to anyone? I have a new gf, and the last thing id want to do is get her infected.

Around 6 months back, I had a painless, flesh colored boil in the outer lips of my vagina (pubic area), which I ignored assuming it was an ingrown hair. Now around three days back, I got another boil (slightly bigger than the first one) on the public area itself.
I've had only one sexual partner, and never had sex with him without a condom. I am scared of what it is though, can it be a genital wart?
