17 year old son has one testicle stuck immobile in groin on side he had inguinal hernia repair surgery at age 3...will this increase risk of testicular cancer? He's been checked & testicle is normal size & feels healthy...it's likely sat in his groin most of his life...We've been told another surgery would most likely result in loss of testicle.

This all started the morning after having unprotected sex but I went to the doctors and std test came back negative as well as the urine test came back negative. View 2 RepliesPretty much my problem is in the title. I only just noticed this about a week ago when I saw that my right testicle was a little bigger then normal. As for the groin area, it seems to be located on my right side in the groin itself. At times it's hard to tell if the ache is in my testicle or in the groin. I'm 22 and there's no pain just some discomfort at times. Whats strange is that I haven't done anything physical to strain the area, at least not that I know of. Could I have maybe bruised it at some point or should I go and get it looked at?

View 1 RepliesI had a vasectomy going on 8 days ago. The procedure was said to have gone well. I bruised quite badly and my scrotum and area up into my groin (mainly right side and above penis) swelled remarkably. The swelling has gone done significantly the last two days and my bruising is looking mildly better. My issue at present is my right testicle is sitting much higher than my left testicle. The left looks to be resting normally, and the right feels almost attached to the base of my penis. There is still some mild swelling above my penis on the right side in the groin. The swelling feels hard in the groin and runs down and meets the top of my right testicle.
you can imagine this is uncomfortable, but not outrageously painful. I can see my mobility being hampered if the right teste does not descend lower in a more normal resting position. Is this a normal experience that eventually resolves itself?
so i usually bite my fingernails, but this time i was laying in bed and i tried to swallow it but it wouldn't go down. i took some water and i felt a little better. i went to sleep and i woke up and had breakfast. it then came back in the afternoon. i asked my parents about it and they said it would probably go away, but i've been feeling it 4 almost a week. a few days ago it was in my throat and then it went away but then i had a similar feeling in my ear. im worried that maybe its traveling thru my body but im not sur. it might be just growing pains. its now come back.ive had a little shortness of breath but i naturally get that(acid reflux). 1 time it came up a little so i stuck my finger down my throat and i felt it a little, but it felt like it was actually stuck in my throat. like i didn't feel all of it. i tried talking 2 my parents but they told me to stop worrying, but i feel really weird about it, so i thought this is my best option.
View 14 RepliesMy inner-ears have felt like there is cotton balls stuck in there. When I talk it sounds as if I'm in a tunnel another's sounds like they're whispering when talking at normal tone. I feel like I'm telling when I talk but I am actually talking really low. And same situation with listening to radio, television, etc... I have the volume on blast but it sounds normal level but muffled, and others complain its too loud. Been going on about 2 weeks now. It happened once before but went away shortly and all on its own. I've tried cleaning my ears with qtips, using peroxide, and popping my ears and all have failed me.

For the past 8 months I have been experiencing some uncomfortable symptoms which I have not been able to resolve. 8 months ago I had unprotected vaginal sex. About a week later I felt a strange stuck feeling in the tip of penis which was relieved by urinating but would come back about 15 minutes later. I also experienced some discomfort urinating as well. Like there was something obstructing my urine flow. I went to my doctor a week after symptoms started showing and was tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Both tests came back negative. Additionally, a friend of mine had unprotected sex with this woman and had an STD test done when I told him of the symptoms I'm having. His tests came back negative too. I was also prescribed bactrim for a possible UTI. I was then referred to a urologist. I had my prostate examined and was prescribed cipro for prostatitis, which did not provide any relief. Afterward, I had another chlamydia and gon test done and it came back negative again. Since the cipro did not help, I was prescribed celebrex which did not provide any relief. The next visit to my urologist, he performed a cystoscopy and could not find anything abnormal. He then provided a bladder control medication to see if that helped. Nothing. By this point I am very confused about what is causing this problem and my doctor does not seem to know either. The symptoms are often better in the morning, and get progressively worse throughout the day. In addition to the stuck/tingling feeling in the tip of my penis, I sometimes experience aching testicles and pelvic pain. I also sometimes have a forked stream when I begin urination and dribbling after. Ejaculating sometimes appears to be split, with small amounts coming out of the underside or my urethra and the semen appears bubbly. Sometimes, but not always, ejaculating makes the symptoms go away, but the next time I urinate they come back after about 15 minutes. When I am experiencing symptoms (which is pretty much all the time) if I squeeze the tip of my penis the pain/discomfort gets worse.

Looking at it it has red and white bumps in the back of my throat, my tonsils are swollen and look raw? There bright blood red patches along with white stringy spots, it doesn't look like strep, but I have occasionally through the years have had random moments when my throat swells up, I also get sore throats a lot the last couple of months. I've switched to wearing my glasses instead of my contacts, which is helping, but not completely. Today I was seeing stars, it only lasted about 10 seconds and it was completely out of the blue. I am wondering if I should see an optometrist/ophthalmologist. If so, what would they do? It's not like it's a severe case or anything (if it even is optic neuritis). I have a number for a MS nurse, she said feel free to call if I had any questions and I will probably call her on Monday, but I don't want to seem crazy, reporting every single little thing to her.

Having seen the doctor he has now been diagnosed as a possible hydrocele and is having a scan tomorrow. Having looked at his birth record and child development book the dr recorded an hydrocele on the RIGHT testicle at 7 weeks which I automatically assumed disappeared, but I think at present he may have hydrocele slightly on this side as well. I've been told it's congenital and related to growth within the womb. Any advice most welcome as I feel very awkward when he's nearly a man

I checked it and there are no lumps etc. My testicle does not seems swollen and when i sit still or lay down i no longer feel that ache. I feel nothing when sleeping. The minute i start to move around it slowly comes back. Again it is only in my right testicle area. i played with my testicle and the only way I can kind of cause the pain with my fingers is when i touch the 'tubing' underneath. I just checked again and it seems the only way I can really create the ache on cue is when i touch the connection area underneath the testicles where the tubing connects. Its not a bad pain..again its is more a dull ache or that feeling of getting kicked in the balls. Its not the actual testicle itself that hurts it seems

I felt some pain in my right testicle on Tuesday, it soon disappeared. Then last night (Friday) it was feeling a bit painful again after ejaculating, which hasn't happened before. Since it was only the right testicle I had a quick check (even got a warm shower) and felt a small lump about the size of a pinhead. I'm pretty sure it's on the testicle itself - although I find it hard to say where the lump is because it seems to be different (I guess that's just the movement of the testicle) it's near the top, where all the tubes attach, it feels as if there's a tube that actually runs to the lump. I wouldn't say it was painful but when I push or wiggle it, it gives me that kicked in the balls kind of pain, just scaled down quite a bit. Right now I just feel a bit of an annoyance down there, I did masturbate about an hour ago to see if it brought on pain again, but it didn't.
Some additional information: I remember that there was a period, probably around six months ago, when my testicles would sometimes hurt then running, but I thought nothing of it.
I'm in my late teens and now I'm really worried, could barely eat last night after I found the small lump. All of today I've been feeling worried, even bailed out of my plans for tonight. On the one hand I really want to get it checked out especially since I'm going on vacation next week, like with anything, I get overly worried, but on the other hand I do not like the thought of the doctor checking out my balls and I feel really anxious about telling my parents. How can I just go up to my mum and say 'I just found a lump on my balls' would I even say balls? It's just so awkward; we've never spoke about anything like that.
I don't really know why I'm on here. I know that I really should go get it checked out, I also know that I don't necessarily have to tell my parents but I'd rather them know, I think.. I mean I don't even know how to book a doctor's appointment, never mind one for a matter like this.
The thought that this is could be Cancer just makes me feel awful, I want to just say to my self that it's probably nothing, but I can't. 24 hours ago I had nothing on my mind and was looking forward to the weekend, now I can't stop googling this and feeling my balls. Whenever I think to do something to get my mind at rest, such as watching TV or going out I just think NO that's not going to change anything, I know I can't just sit back, but I don't know what to do!
I am 19 and about a year ago I started experiencing some aching in my testicles so I had an ultrasound scan, everything was good. Now, I have noticed in the bath on my right testicle a lump, but I only notice it in hot water, what could this be? I am worried it is a sign of cancer. I have a doctor's appointment booked for a week's time.
Does anyone know how long an ultrasound scan is valid for too?

I noticed on saturday morning (about 40 hours ago) that there was a very small painless lump on my left testicle near the epididymis. Although I plan to make an appointment with the GP tomorrow I was wondering if anyone could give any advice or information about it. Has anyone else experienced a small lump in this area?
I'm 16 and for the last few months I felt a lump on the outer side of my left testicle. Its not like it hurts or swollen like what I hear to look for in article and videos I seen. But the lump concerns me and I feel pain on my caves that feel like its being pulled. The lump might be nothing it could be a bug bite that I'm thinking to hard into.
