View 1 RepliesI've been with my boyfriend for almost a year now and we've just started getting sexually active. He has confided in me that he has penile neuropathy due to complications of diabetes.
He's been to doctors and had tests done. The result is there is no problem with blood flow, it's nerve damage, the nerves don't transmit the signal to the penis to become fully erect. I've noticed the base does become semi erect but that's about it. Just curious if anyone has any experience with this and is there anything that will help such as over the counter medications like Cialis?
can masturbation cause impotence in men.
View 1 Repliesdoes over masturbation causes impotence? or does it causes other sexual problems? how often a male should masturbate if it is not bad?
View 1 RepliesI had this weird feeling for a while in my left breast just felt odd. I was feeling it the other night wondering what it was and felt a large disk shape under my nipple. I freaked out got really worried and then looked online and realised it could be puberty. But the symptoms are much more like the cancer ones. It's only in one breast and doesn't really hurt, doesn't look really much different but sometimes goes in, in the middle. I felt it tonight and it's a different shape, it's like a large oval shape just larger than my nipple a few inches maybe. It's hard very hard and really worrying me and upsetting me. Please help. Can't sleep or be happy. I have definitely started puberty but don't think finished. I'm quite small and skinny too.
View 11 RepliesI am 33 unmarried male. My penis is conchy shaped with much circular and wider at the centre from below the head of my penis.when erected my penis gets much harder and size goes to 4.04 inches and in erection the centre of my penis forms the shape of inverted cone with centre wider. The foreskin is not retactable back and forth. In my childhood I have not done circumcision and I used to be naked all the time.some of my relatives made fun with me by pulling my penis and dragging it long.with the structure of my penis I am worried that can I have an enjoyable and pleasurable sex with my partner and can I be able to penetrate penis into vagina fully as my penis at the centre is wider and more circular or will it stops in the middle without fully inserted into her.Is it compulsory to go out for circumcision or is there any alternative for this?
View 3 RepliesI am 35 year old male. I have recently been diagnosed with low " FREE" testosterone. But my total testosterone is in the low/normal range. Any idea what could be the cause. Getting my lh and fsh readings tomorrow.
View 2 RepliesI am a slim 23 year old male who regularly plays sports etc.. Around 4 years ago I first had that sharp stabbing pain in my upper right abdomen going through to my back, went in an ambulance to hospital and was diagnosed with constipation. This happened 4/5 times before I was finally diagnosed with gallstones 2 years ago. I had another attack not long after being diagnosed and it gave me pancreatitis because it was blocked in the tube ( or something along those lines), I sort of blame this on the lack of support from the hospital on what I should be eating and avoiding, I mean they was serving me fish and chips, pie etc in hospital and I didn't know any different. I then had the camera down my throat to try and remove the gallstones that way but something went wrong and they couldn't remove them (there is 2 medium to large gallstones).
since then I have been watching my diet like a hawk and I am very happy with what I can and can't eat. I eat chocolate regularly, pastries, low fat cheese, muffins etc and none of these have given me an attack I eat them in moderation and never more than 8 grams of fat in one go. Thinking about it only fried food and cheese have given me attacks.. Now the only attack I have had in two years was my fault because I brought the wrong fish pie ( I am fine with the low fat youngs ones but I got the regular one with 4x the fat )
anyway I am scared to death of hospitals, my mom died aged only 40 a few years ago due to hospital negligence so I'd do anything to avoid having an operation on the nhs, it also doesn't help that I have severe anxiety.. The hospital want me to get it removed but I honestly feel like I can cope and would like to explore all possibilities first.
is it possible I could live happily ever after without getting my gallstones removed and just maintaining a low fat healthy diet? What would you do in my situation?
I have seen lots of people on these forums that are having difficulties after having their gallbladder removed so even if I go through with it there is no guarantee?
I started taking Norvasc (amlodipine) six months ago because my blood pressure was too high. I didn’t really have any visible problems that I could thought of were caused by high blood pressure, but it remained high even after I started watching my sodium intake and following the DASH diet. Since I’m 52 my doctor wanted to be on the safe side and prescribed me Norvasc.
Ever since I started taking this medication I’ve started having problems and now it seems as though I’m going through erectile dysfunction because of it. I haven’t been able to maintain an erection in over a month, but my doctor doesn’t really seem to be worried about that, telling me I still need to lower my blood pressure.
I’m male, 42 years old and I’ve been having genetic problem with high levels of bad, LDL high cholesterol, in ranges between 250-270 over period of two years. The first statin medication I was prescribed was Crestor. It took me almost a year to convince my doctor that muscle and joint pain I’m experiencing because of Crestor are ruining my life completely.
So he took me off statins for a short period, just three months, and together with dietary changes, my LDL cholesterol levels were around 250. I was having a completely normal and healthy sex life. Then my doctor decided my levels are still too high and that I need another statin - Zocor (simvastatin) and for the past six months I’ve been on Zocor, I’ve been having extreme erectile dysfunction.
I had a recent problem with my sexual life. I have always masturbated at least everyday of my life, and then I met this girl 2 months ago. We had great sex for over a month, and I see to it that she will be satisfied. I even force myself to come three times, although I can feel some extreme exhaustion on my part.
Then one night I masturbated, and I can feel a total drain of my energy. The next morning, I found out that would be the last night that I would masturbate. Now, I cannot feel any urge for sex, and my penis wont feel anything. It has been two weeks now that I cannot have an erection, like it is dead.
The anxiety and depression is killing me.
They advise that to do a reboot for a few months would help but I cant help to worry everyday. Because of this it has affected my outlook in llife.
I would blame it on my excessive masturbation.
For a man's Information , does women prefer men to shave prior to performing oral sex on them. In today's men's grooming style, show men having the unshaved look.
Does this present any issue for women during oral on the vagina?
Last night I made the epic mistake of hooking up with a sex worker. specifically she performed unprotected oral sex on me for about 10 seconds, I made her finish with a condom on.
there were no obvious sores on her mouth, but now of course I am very concerned about other risks. Do I need to get tested? How concerned should I be?
I'm a 35 yr old male and about a month or so ago I discovered a small white shot right in the middle of my right nipples. I went to my physician and she ordered a mammogram followed by an ultrasound. Both came normal. However, I have pain on the nipple on and off...there is no discharge or redness that I can see, but the white spot is still there and maintains the same size.
View 1 RepliesI occasionally suffer from Hemorrhoids, and have been told that they can cause impotence.
Nothing I have read about Hemorrhoids seems to correlate with this, but it would but my mind at great ease if a medical professional could dispel the notion for me.
Or is there any link?
I have no problems getting it up-it lives in that state-but am worried about potential future problems.
Here's what has been bugging me for a while. Namely, Im having occasional impotence problems and low sex drive. I also put on a few extra pounds which is also quite a turn off. I want to take up exercising in order to reduce my weight, and since I like cycling, I'm thinking about starting with it but the problem is that I don't know whether it can have some bad effect on my impotence. Any ideas?
View 6 RepliesMy boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months now. The sex (when it happens) is amazing! However, let me backtrack a bit....Around the same time we got together, he also got a really important promotion at work, adding a ton of additional stress onto his already stressful job. We share an incredible chemistry but sometimes, when it comes down to intercourse, there is either a lack of erection or an erection that isn't cohesive to lovemaking:( This isn't every time! But the times it happens, I can't help but feel like its me. He says its not me, but its only human nature for me to think it is. I would totally marry this man and start a family! But....what if this is what lies ahead for us? Is this worth ending a relationship? Is there a solution other than quitting his job?
View 1 RepliesI am a 71 year old male. About 14 years ago, I had a high rating on a PSA test, which lead to a twelve needle biopsy. The results were rated as a Gleason 8 tumor. My urologist said the type of prostate cancer I had was very aggressive and that we needed to take some action. At that time, I was told my options were radiation and/or surgery. Prostate cancer had occurred in both of my Grandfathers. My father had not come back from WWII so I had no information on him. However, I had done some research into what I would do if prostate cancer visited me. I opted for a radical prostatectomy. Both my urologist and the pathologist believed that the surgery got all the cancer, and saw no value in radiation. As it turned out, I have never had much of anything to speak of on any subsequent PSA tests. Oh joy and rapture. I am alive, and doing well with one exception. Prior to the cancer diagnosis, my wife and I had a very active sex life. We had been married for over 25 years and had engaged in some form of sex on an average of twenty or so times a month. When my wife learned of my cancer, she asked for a divorce. Following the surgery, I was impotent and of course could no longer ejaculate. On the advice of a crusty older nurse, God Bless her, I learned that I could masturbate to a sort of semi erection and achieve an orgasm. However I entered a period of depression and when I finally found my way out of it, I could no longer achieve an orgasm. Following a discussion with my urologist, I tried some injections directly into the penis that was supposed to result in an erection, but it was not satisfactory, and the whole idea of sticking a needle into my penis was not very appealing. My doctor then recommended an Osbon penis pump which cost a couple of hundred dollars. When I tried the pump, it sucked my scrotum into the pump cylinder and slammed a testicle into the pump cylinder. It hurt so bad I threw up. The pricey Osbon pump ended up in the garbage. So here I am. My libido has always been very high and seems to be getting higher as I age. I am still very attracted to women and, have no interest in a sexual relationship with men. I don't really care for the company of men all that much and never have. Between the internet and satellite TV, I am bombarded with pornography. While I do watch a fair amount of porn and sexually explicit shows on TV, it does nothing to assuage my libido. I hate sleeping alone, and I hate the notion of nothing but platonic relationships with women. Over the years I learned how to do a satisfactory job of performing oral sex, however, even the ladies of my age still want sexual intercourse in their lives and to be honest, I would not be interested in a women who did not want sex. I have been so lonely for female sexual companionship that I have met with several prostitutes, and it is nice to be able to touch and talk with an attractive nude woman, but then I have to go back to my empty lonely place. Is there any way that I could reestablish the ability to have orgasms? Does anyone have an ideas or information as to how I could achieve an erection and failing that, how do I shutdown my libido?
View 3 RepliesI’m a 28 year old male. I’m 5”11, 10st 4lb and have been a vegetarian for about 10 years.
I’ve had an on and off problem with erectile dysfunction in the past 7 years or so. Towards the end of a 5 year relationship when I was 21 and an undergraduate, I experienced problems with getting an erection and with a low libido (I can’t recall now whether the latter just came from anxiety about the former). The relationship ended, I began a relationship with a then friend, in addition to seeking advice from my GP. The GP prescribed a 4 cialis 10mg tablets, and things relatively quickly recovered.
Fast forward another 5 years (with no problems), and that relationship ended. After about 5 months, I went on some dates with a girl. As we started getting a bit more physical, I became a bit anxious about my ‘response’, and again had trouble getting an erection (again, I don’t know which came first). I got another short course of 10 mg cialis, though we never had intercourse and that ended. I was wary that the performance problems might impact upon future relationships, and wanting to not have to worry about it, I got a longer course (28 tablets) of 5mg cialis. I began a relationship with a new partner, which has now been going for about 7 months. I moved for work relatively early on in the relationship, so we mostly saw each other at weekends. A single 5 mg tablet would allow me to achieve erections without problem for 2 days.
Realising that it was probably not good to become reliant on these tablets, I started trying to wean myself of them by breaking tablets in half. One weekend recently, I took half a tablet on Saturday, and was fine for the day, but could not achieve an erection on Sunday morning when we became physical. I sometimes wake up with erections, and sometimes achieve one whilst masturbating, though both seem less frequent and less strong than they used to be.
I realise that at my age it is likely to be psychological, especially given the history. That’s in part why I used the medication for so long, hoping it would eventually just blow over again. I also realise that I have probably not handled it in the best way, though I still feel pretty helpless and frustrated at it all I guess.
I am 28 years old male, and am worried over fertility. For the last 10 years I smoked two boxes a day, consumed alcohol, and in some periods I even used the steroids. I finally ended with all those things, and I changed my life style. However, I don’t know if it’s too late now, and are my chances to be a father destroyed forever.
View 1 RepliesA couple of days ago I noticed a lump on the shaft of my penis just an inch or so from the bottom. I chose to ignore it until the next day as it had gone bigger and quite painful when touched or if I wore skinny jeans or slept in a certain position. The spot/lump had increased in size and remained red, but it seemed to have a bit of white/yellow growing in it.
