I had a TVT done 7 years ago and over the past 6-8 months I have been leaking urine and having pain, I went to the docs 3 weeks ago and was told I have a cystocele, i'm awaiting hospital appointment, has anyone been through the same?
View 1 RepliesI am a 53 year old and had this surger y 8 days ago. I had a cystocele before and recovery was only a couple of days but unfortunately i had to have it redone. I and am very surprised at how sore my bottom is and my legs just feel tired. I am normally very active and find it hard to not be able to do much. I havent drove yet just don't feel I could even walk from parked car into a store. Just wanted to know how long before it started to feel better and back to somewhat normal.
View 4 RepliesI am a 65 year old female with a grade 3 or 4 cystocele. In the past few days I am having extreme difficulty emptying my bladder. I am freaking out because the issue of surgery rears its ugly head. I do not want surgery in as much as the failure rate if as high as 50% and I would never have mesh because of the ugly hideous complications of using it. Does anybody with this problem have any other ideas? I may try a pessary. I was wondering if there are ways of emptying ones bladder by utilizing certain positions to facilitate urination ( like standing for example). I have had this cystocele for 10 years but not it has obviously gotten worse.
View 6 RepliesTest show that I have a enlarged kidney, I have protien in my urine, severe back pain to the right side, strong smelly urine, blood pressure very high now on 10mg blood pressure tablets, Doctors have done tests on my kidneys and say the test shows the kidneys are functioning normally so I have not to go back to hospital for six months.

Every time I take off my underwear to go to use the bathroom, before sex, go to bed, etc. My underwear has a strong smell of urine and its so embarrassing. I've been to my doctor and she took a blood sample and a urine sample and everything came back normal. Now she wants me to get an ultrasound to make sure all my organs are ok. I feel completely fine except for the smell. I don't know what to do. I feel like it's taking so long for my doctor to figure out what is wrong. So plz if anyone has any suggestions to help me with the urine smell let me know. It's so embarrassing. I'm constantly wondering if other ppl can smell it even when I have my pants on.
View 4 RepliesI had a cystocele 3 1/2 weeks ago. It seemed I was healing well with some mild tenderness in the lower abdomen. Which I felt was normal. But a little over a week ago I suddenly began to experience excruciating (level 8-10) pain in my right hip area. The surgeon said it is the tendon/ligament (?) where the sling was attached to that is hurting so bad. Has anyone else experienced this after cystocele surgery? And if so, how long did it last?
View 1 RepliesI am a 22 year old female with excessive watery discharge. I soak my knickers sometimes. This does not smell like urine. Periods have been ok, although they sometimes come at different days of the month randomly. It's not really a new symptom and I've had it on and off. It usually happens at the back of the underwear and I'm having quite mild pain on the right side which can go to the left side as well, think it might be gas though since it does gurgle around there and I can feel the pain in my back a little as well. Been to the doctor, UTI and culture test came back negative.It was a bit better a few days ago with cranberry tablets. Could this be something related to my bladder or my vagina? I'm going to have a swab of my vagina next week to see whether there is an infection present. Thank you.

My OA is so severe now, and I am living in constant agony, with my life basically on hold until my next TKR (49 YO and feel like i'm on the scrapheap!) Anyway, I've been reading a bit about K Taping, and thought I'd give it a go. I can't BELIEVE how effective it is! The pain is all but gone, the grating bone-on-bone has reduced, and I can get in and out of my house without a crutch/stick! Which I haven't been able to do for about 12 month.
I only tried it today for the first time, but by golly I'm hooked! The relief is instant, and constant (so far).
Id be interested to hear if anyone else has tried it, and if the relief is long-lasting or a flash in the pan.
I have had blood in my urine on and off for 2 years. I have chronic kidney discomfort, have been told that I have 3 cysts on my kidney and one on my liver.
I develop low grade fevers from time to time, and seem to always have UTI's. I once had a large kidney stone.. Monday I had a headache so bad I went to the dr she told me it was a migraine. I am French. I’m 28, it’s being 2 years and a half that I have blood in the urine with horrible pain.
I had 3 ureteroscopies who have given nothing and now the professor who follows me told me I have the loin pain hematuria syndrome, and there was nothing to do. The only thing I can do is to wait till it’s going better. He refuses to make a biopsy and told me to take aspirin.

I've been in different hospitals and doctors tell me that the pain is bearable and advised me to consult a shrink. I do not think my pain is psychic. I wanted to know if U.S. medical research is more advanced than the French one.
I've had vaginal itching for around two years now, as with most posts I've read I've been told it's just thrush but then I've been tested for that twice now and both tests came back negative. The GUM clinic said it could just be an allergy or thrush of the vulva (if that is even possible?). I have no discharge, other than the normal. It's red near the labia but not exactly bright red. I have small spots but I've googled those before (I can't remember what they're called but they're normal- so google tells me anyway) and whenever I've had an examination then I've been told it looks normal and healthy.
The GUM clinic gave me some thrush cream that also had steriod cream in it and I used that for about six weeks and since then the itching has been much improved. I think it seems to get worse with stress. I don't have any lumps or any white marks or anything which people seem to say are symptoms of Lichen Sclerosus. The fact that it went away with the steroid cream would suggest it's some sort of allergy but I just don't know what to? I have noticed that if I wear no knickers (under a long skirt) then there is hardly any itching at all.
I am currently going through a panic of health anxiety so I can't stop googling these symptoms and it all seems to leads to some sort of cancer so I'm petrified it could be that.
I'm in the UK and I've booked a doctors appointment for Monday where I will ask to be referred because I've had enough of this now. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas or had been through similar?
On a doctor's visit back in December, it was discovered that i had microscopic blood in my urine. This went on for a few months, and increased with every doctor's check up. A urologist did an ultrasound of the kidney/bladder back in February, and all was normal. He also did cystoscopy which was normal too. He also did a test which shows my bladder holds sufficient amount of urine. The problem is, we never really figured out what the cause was, and recently i have had a new symptom (mucus tissue looking things in my urine). I am considering going back to a different urologist, but has anyone experienced something similar, or know what tissue looking bits in urine is?
View 4 RepliesI'm a 26 yr old male, I've been peeing cloudy for months now, not every time I pee, usually just once a day, and the rest seem normal. Lately it seems like it's more cloudy than before. Also at night i have to get up alot to pee, but its usually just a few drops each time. Just recently two things happened, on two different occasions. First, I was peeing and it seemed to be normal color, but at the last end it turned white/cloudy and right at the last drop or two it looked like white flaky particles in it. Since then I've been noticing the particles more often. Second thing, almost two weeks after noticing the particles I was peeing one night and it seemed to burn quite bad at the last few drops, and when I was done it didn't feel like a finished, felt like I still had more. I went to outpatients the other night, did a urine sample and the test come back negative for UTI, so they sent it to a lab, next morning they did blood work and another urine sample. Waiting for the results now. Dr thinks it could be a prostate infection (prostatitis) caused from chlamydia so he put me on Ciprofloxacin. I dont think its from chlamydia because the two girls I've had unprotected sex with both been tested recently and come back clean. He also said its possible it could be stones.
View 3 RepliesIm 29 year old female, i've always thought my painful bladder and urination was from chronic bladder infections for years until my doctor recently sent me to a specialist and sent off for urine culture and came back negative. .have all the symptoms of a bladder infection. Have large amount of blood (4+) ..Urologist sent my for a ct ivp to look for stones or look for something abnormal with ureters or kidney, nothing ..everything came back normal..now the urologist ordered a test to look at the bladder with scope through my urethra and also take a biopsy of bladder wall to look for cancer cells..owww. Any answers on what this can be I have all the symptoms of bladder cancer but im young and no family history of bladder cancer im a non smoker /alcohol drinker.
View 2 RepliesI have had visible blood in my urine, and some stinging pain while passing. I went to the Doctor who said it's probably an infection, gave me some antibiotics and it should go in a few days.
Well, I took the antibiotics and the bleeding went within 24 hours and the pain when urinating was virtually gone a couple of days later.
However, the results of the urine test stated there was no infection so I have been told I will have to have further tests, cystoscopy and ct scan on my kidneys etc.
My first worry is that it is cancer, I'm a 44 year old male, and a close friend (who is 55) has bladder cancer so as you can imagine I am in pieces at the moment, not knowing what to expect.
Doctor was quite abrupt on the phone, simply saying it would be unusual in a man of my age and that it could be a kidney stone (I have no symptoms, perhaps a ache in my back, but not sure if that is now psychosomatic) or a burst blood vessel in my bladder.
Any just looking for some reassurance, and to take my mind of the worst outcomes which is all I can currently think about.

View 1 RepliesToday morning I waked up after sleeping about 9 hours (without going to the bathroom and after drinking a lot before the sleep). After going to the bathroom I felt pretty acute pain in my lower abdominal. It became milder during the day, still preserving though and appearing sometimes with more strength while changing position (sitting, or standing) and also reminding about itself sometimes after urinating (but not always). It kind of feels like muscle pain and earlier could be felt also while touching the muscles close to the penis. Now it is way milder, but didn't go. Can this be a result of muscle stretch or something like this?

After a bad muscle strain in my back and using the elliptical machine I've had twitching and burning all over but also in my private area. Like around my **** it will twitch or vibrate, and then I will get the sharp shooting pain up my vagina and around my butt. I notice it more if I bend over that's why I thought it might be my back. I remember when the stabbing pain started I thought it was a female problem and my OBGYN said everything looked normal with my cervix and my paps have always been normal so she didn't know. She seems clueless.
View 11 RepliesI'm a 18 year old guy with no previous illnesses of any kind, don't drink/smoke, etc. Except not exercising and sleep irregularly, I'm pretty okay with lifestyle.
I had the symptoms of a UTI one day (first time in my life) with symptoms of blood in urine and lower abdomen pain. My doctor diagnosed it as prostatitis and gave me antibiotics for a month.
I never had the symptoms again since the first day of antibiotics, but now that I'm 3 weeks in, I'm feeling new symptoms like hesitation to go urinate, want to go urinate more often, etc.... Maybe it's my mind playing with me, but I FEEL like my bladders feel a little weird. Like, it feels... full? There's no pain at all, except perhaps minor irritation in my testes.
So now I'm really wondering if I should go see the doctor again, mostly in fear of potential kidney damages (urea poisoning a possibility?) I don't have insurance, but won't hesitate to stomach the bill myself if need be. Since I don't want to end up in the ER, or die...
I saw my GP yesterday because I'm having very bad lower back pain mainly toward the right side and down my right thigh & leg. Its more painful when I want to pass water. My GP tested my urine and and she said I have protein in it. I am now waiting to hear the result of the test. She thinks it could be a kidney infection, but has not prescribed antibiotics. Or it could be something to do with a Cyst I have in my Left Kidney.
I am so worried about this because of my age (72 in May). I was also diagnosed a year ago with HIATUS HERNIA, GALLSTONES, DUODENITIS & DIVERTICULITIS.
I have ongoing discomfort in my groin, lower abdominal pain, nausea and blood in urine. Any suggestions what this could be?
