View 1 RepliesIt may be now that you are free of the actual worms that you are suffering from delusional parasitosis. I have read of many cases where the person suffers all the irritation but they do not have the worms.
It may be that you could benefit from some anti-depressants.
I have been taking them, and although my situation if not the same as yours, I have really benefited from the.
No sympathy from the doctor because the swabs came back negative, and he felt that I should be grateful for the result that the anti-depressants gave me.
I will however, in the future when I have given my body a rest from both medication and 'so called' herbal remedies, I will try again.
As you have stated no-one understand the constant itching and irritation, and they have little sympathy.
My husband is suffering from erectile dysfunction. We saw a sexologist. He has prescribed expensive herbal medicines. Is it curable?
View 1 RepliesI've been taking anti depression meds for years. now, and none of them have been helping. All they've accomplished to do is cause some bad side effects. I've heard that there are certain type of herbs that can help with many of the same issues as anti depression meds. One of them I've been reading up on and taking is rhodiola root extract. It's supposed to be good for depression, anxiety, among others. What I want to know is if anyone of you ever use any type of herbs? If so can you get away with using just one type of herb to do its work, or do you have to combine it or is it a must that you combine it with other herbs? I hope I can get some feedback from someone that's actually using it by experience. I've learned throughout the yrs. that they are the only ones that can give you a straight answer.
View 1 RepliesI have a complex dx including:ischemic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, CAD, ICD implant, renal failure, epilepsy, diabetes, neuropathy and c-spine injury.I am 38. I am med compliant and see all of my specialists and PCP regularly. After my first MI at age 27 I developed insomnia. We did sleep studies and tried many medications. Eventually we found Seroquel to work. I started at 100 mg PRN and was up to 300 mg PRN @HS. I slept well. Actually had to crawl to bed to pass out. I feel I am addicted to this drug. I am down to 25mg at night which gives me 3 hours of sleep. With my medical dx sleep is important but I also believe taking less medication with less side effects is equally important. Seroquel has cardiac and neurological side effects. My team agrees it is time to stop the Seroquel but we have no strategy. How can I wean off from this medication and still sleep?

View 1 RepliesI am diabetic patient for past 6 years. Presently I am taking medicine ZIGLIM M1 in the morning daily after breakfast. I checked my sugar level 2 or 3 times, the value of FBS level was 120 mg/dl and RBS level was 210 mg/dl . My RBS value is always high
View 1 RepliesI'm taking bacterial lysate 3.5mg and Ibuprofen 100mg/ml. Would these medicine interfere on Oraquick test result?
View 2 RepliesI would like to know just what happens when a person stops taking their thyroid medication; I had a TT a few months ago. Like apparently a lot of other people, I have lost medical insurance. I want to know literally what happens to the body once I quit taking the levothyroxine, and is it painful? How long before a person's body shuts down and coma happens?
View 2 RepliesI was looking at my past medical records and I't appears that I have had elevated BP for the past 5 years and now it is approx. 170/100. I have taken good care of myself all my life (never smoked, never drank, not overweight, never even had a cup of coffee) and feel awful about going on meds. My wife says its time. Are BP meds a forever thing?
View 40 RepliesI visited eye dr for checking my eyes since I felt irritate and itch on eyelids. Dr. told the only problem is eyelid inflamed. He gave me TelFast pills, Opticorn eyedrop and Alcon Maxitrol eye drops for 2 weeks. But, I feel my eyes are weaker and blur than usual. I visited him last few days for follow up, but he only tell my eye is back to normal. So, I'll be ok by next week. But, I wonder can my eyes back to normal after treatment. I wonder what make blur and weaker eye?
View 2 RepliesI just had tarsal tunnel release yesterday and am wondering what others took for pain. My doctor asked me what I generally take and I told him NORCO. I've taken it for years, sparingly, for back pain and am wondering if I've built up a tolerance as it's not working too well right now.
He was so generous to give my husband his cell number since it's the holidays so we could call him if needed but I don't want to seem like a wimp.
I have addison's disease and pain is not good for me at all.
I had a swollen lymph node on my neck side, accompanied by fever. In 2 weeks, the lymph node cured on its own but the fever was not going, so i went to the doctor. The doctor performed test on my skin and the test reacted, it was red 15 mm. The doctor told me it was tuberculosis, but I don't have any cough or TB symptoms. I only have fever. He gave me 6 month TB medicine. I am taking isoniazid and other medicine for 2 days, but it makes me more sick with nausea and fever. What should I do? Should I take it ? Do I have TB really? My lymph node cured on its own.
View 3 RepliesAs a kid I think I was 11? I was once pooping and had wurms at some occurrence I even pood out something weird and round that at the time I was sure was an organ. The last thing I never knew really what it was. But as a kid I thought it was my kidney haha!
Anyway moving back to the wurms I have had some worms in my poo at that time. I never paid it attention and as I got older I kept checking but couldn't find any wurms! The thing is I don't know if this has healed itself or if the wurms are still active and if so what to do.
I read you can get some medication take that and after two weeks take it again (because of the eggs.) I also read putting petroleum jelly on the buttocks can kill the eggs. What should I do?
Let's say I have no wurms can it harm to take that certain medication? I am quite disgusted by it and my memory is not as good anymore I am almost 22 now. So I would like to put an end to the wurm infection if I should have one.
Can you have wurms? Even if they do not show up in your poop and can I then with 100% certainty say that I have wurms and what medication should I go for then?
I'm an 18 year old female and i'm not sure if I have threadworms or not. I first had them when I was 15. Don't know how or why because i'm a pretty clean person. A few years past and then two months ago I somehow contracted them again. So I went to the doctors got tablets did the ritual of deep cleaning my bedroom, changing bed sheets everyday and washing at least 3-4 times of day (because it makes me feel horrible knowing I have them) Everything was fine and then about, 3 weeks ago I got this terrible itch once again. I had some tablets left over from the last time so I took my first and nothing improve and i've taken the second literally half an hour ago.
What i'm confused about is, i've never actually seen these pesky things this time around because you can usually see them in your faeces etc. and i've also checked and seen nothing in that region. (sorry for the tmi.) I don't know, if it's just physiological and nothing's actually there? Because I have anxiety disorder and have for many years now.
I'm 14 and I could see worm-like things in my vision. It's been going on for a few years. They're kinda like clear, segmented lines, often forming some kind of clutch.Their numbers seem to have increased and the sizes of each 'worm' is noticeably larger than usual too.I have been seeing them more frequently. What are these, really?
View 1 RepliesThis should be a title to a horror movie, not the title of a post,in another attempt to gain some insight to what is inhabiting the largest organ of my body.
Am I really delusional? the dermatologist diagnosed me as being a cracked egg,I'm a victim of domestic violence and therefore,my brain has made up an imaginary situation, to take me away from the emotional trauma...he says I may also be psychotic, I've mutilated my skin, picked and scraped away at myself, simply because I'm convinced that I am unworthy of my vulnerable protection,my defenseless, pink skin...NO.
I HAVE SOMETHING IN MY DAMN PORES.
That man....he scared me more than any violence, domestic or random! I'm looking to find a slight insight, other than Demodex, scabies, botfly,or the largest bodied Demodex...the one that causes mange in dogs. They're very small but damn it...they're very visible! I thought I had pinpointed where they hail from predominantly... I was wrong. I researched myself...tried different creams...permethrin, high dose cortisone, tea tree...still popping out of the open pores, sometimes sebum sometimes alone. Thread like but also grain of rice like, can't see them move, think they may be in my mouth as well. When I haven't slept for 24 hours( I work a lot) they bite(?) And it feels like I walked through fiberglass, then they come out! Yep,uninvited terrorists and I'm the host. What is this?
one day i went to the bathroom because my vagina started to itch really bad, so i took my panties off to look at it, and there was a clearish white worm wiggling around. this happened to me two times already. i have no idea what it was, but i'm kinda scared that there was a worm there.
View 1 RepliesFor several months I have been experiencing digestive problems such as excessive burping, trapped wind, constipation, reflux and a lot of undigested food in my stools, even though I have stopped eating gluten, dairy, seeds and nuts. I have also recently been diagnosed with iron deficiency and have also been experiencing sinus congestion, excessive mucus in my throat and anxiety. On the advice of a naturopath over the last few days I have been taking magnesium-oxide as a colon cleanse of sorts. Today in my stools and on the toilet paper I noticed quite a few black string looking things, they were quite thin like a piece of thread and were not moving. The smallest were 0.5 cm and one or two were maybe 1.5 cm. Am I right in thinking these must be some sort worm? Could they be thread worms even though they're black and I have no itching? Any suggestions? Would it be inappropriate to take some into my doctor to what they are? I travelled to South America last year so I guess I could have picked something up there.
View 2 RepliesI found thread worms last night and was up all night with them, I had to go to work at 7am this morning so I'm very irritable. I've been looking after my brother's son for the past 2 weeks so I think maybe that's how I've got them. I heard that vaseline is a good solution, (applying it to your anus) I was wondering if the females can't get out of your anus to lay their eggs due to the vaseline, where will they lay them? I heard that they tend to lay them inside of you if you cover your anus in vaseline or pop a garlic clove up your back passage, so they start their life cycle again, is this true? I'm on the Meb tablets and am fed up of waiting for them to go, me and my boyfriend are going on holidays in 5 days and I don't want to be riddled with worms.
View 39 Repliesfor about/8 months I have been suffering from diarrhea and I have found on many occasions what appears to be worms. I went to Morocco in sept 14 but this started a couple of months before. Sometimes I have to go poo immediately after I've eaten. I have done a parasite test with my GP by sending a sample of my poo off with what I thought was worms in, but the test came back negative.
