I was wondering what would happen if a Schizophrenic person stopped taking medication. (Without a doctor's permission.)

View 4 RepliesI have been on the pill for a year and I stopped taking it just over a month ago. I was having sex just up until I stopped taking it (long distance relationship). Just after I stopped taking it I had a light period but since then I haven't got a period again and it's currently 12 days late. I had some PMS right before I was supposed to get my period but it never came. I'm scared that I could be pregnant because I know a girl who didn't know she was pregnant until it was too late because she was still getting her period! Do you think I could be pregnant or that my period is just irregular (my period was regular before I took the pill).
View 2 RepliesI would like to know just what happens when a person stops taking their thyroid medication; I had a TT a few months ago. Like apparently a lot of other people, I have lost medical insurance. I want to know literally what happens to the body once I quit taking the levothyroxine, and is it painful? How long before a person's body shuts down and coma happens?
View 2 RepliesI've just started taking Citalopram a day ago but already feel the side effects starting. Is it normal for them to start so soon? I feel weirdly sleepy and keep yawning. I also feel a bit shaky and for some reason I can't stop grinding my teeth. Are these symptoms or am I just imagining them because I know that I will be experiencing them soon? I would love for some people to share their experiences with the drug, it's taken me a while to get to the point where I've been comfortable enough to finally talk about my depression and start taking them.
View 8 RepliesI am a 59 yr. old male and a disabled Veteran. I have been taking Testosterone for the past 15 years every 2 weeks. My doctor took me off of it on June 4th because my red blood count was too high. My body doesn't produce Testosterone anymore because of Hemochromatosis, which is a blood disease which produces too much iron in my blood.
View 5 RepliesI had a complete thyroidectomy four years ago (removed thyroid, two parathyroids and two lymph nodes) and have been taking my meds (112mcg) regularly until I lost my insurance 6 months ago. I can't afford insurance and can't get help with insurance anywhere! I'm now back to work and my health is RAPIDLY declining. I'm retaining fluid like crazy, tired constantly, headaches, severe body cramps, lymph nodes in my neck are so enlarged other people are noticing them, constipated, blurry vision, deep and severe spine pain, ect. I can't afford to pay out of pocket to see a doctor so they can renew my thyroid meds for me! The appointment will cost me around $400 for visit and bloodwork. Are all of these symptoms from being off of my thyroid meds? This has never happened before but I've always been very strict with taking my thyroid meds until now. Btw I'm only 27 years old.
View 7 RepliesExplanation: the voices started in the head like they're entities searching for me on the streets, everywhere. Then I realized it was nonsense, and then they transformed to real voices like a man transforms to a werewolf. Not the persons walking on the street for me like before and I could see them. Then came the dead, yes and I thought for a long time I m media. Cause they banged on the upper floor and I couldn't do much. I also believe I can control them with visualizations so as they can. Some med just put me asleep or take down my aggression from me, but they don't interact with voices, exactly. So, am I media, six sense activated, or just having those schizophrenic voices in the head for few years, and am I chronically attached to that disease, I wonder? How did someone broke them, cause I m battling with them with my thoughts and still have no result on winning them. I talk with them everytime I hear them and so the talk-talk begins. I think talking to them is good, otherwise they would swallow me like a candy bar.

On 16th September 2014 I was cut by a paper cutting knife on my finger and the cut is not deep. There is little blood coming out. 10 minutes before that the same knife cut a person with unknown hiv status and his cut was deeper than me. Am i at the risk of hiv infection? Now i have sore throat, loss of appetite, itchy patch on the upper side of my left ear, cough and headache.
View 5 RepliesI'm a 30 year old single guy. According to social criteria I'm a successful person. I have a PhD degree in engineering from a university which is always in top 30 in the world. I started my professional job 20 months ago and during this period I have got two promotions and now I'm a manager. I have lots of friends and people enjoy being around me. I have a very good relationship with my parent and sister. I speak 3 languages and now working on the 4th one. I have traveled a lot and can socialize with anyone from any country on any subject. Financially I'm doing OK but not amazing. I work out 3 times a week and have a athletic body. I'm very energetic and I have told that I'm hyperactive.
I started smoking pot when I was 26 and since then I've been smoking from once to 4 times a week. The weed has really changed my life because since I have been a smoker, my brains works much better and I'm much more concentrated. I can solve more complicated problems and understand engineering facts much better. When I'm high, I always come up with brilliant ideas which motivates me and drives me in life. I'm more artistic when I'm high and enjoy the music to the end.
The only down part of my life is that I haven't had a girlfriend past 3 years. I have dated lots lots of girls but find them either ugly or not bright.
Since 6 months ago I came up with the idea of quitting smoking weed but I'm unable to do that. I have no good reason or no motivation of doing it. I think maybe by being high in past 4 years I have built a fantasy world that not most of the people can understand and enter and that's why I don't have a girlfriend.
Today I came up with the idea of going to a rehab center but then I though if I don't convince myself that I have to quick, if I don't have enough reasons then I will never quit. So I thought to share my story with people and see if they can give me some reasons to quit.
Could anyone tell me what the best medication and treatment is for LPR? And how long after does it take to settle?
I am 99% sure I have LPR.
ENT confirmed with a nose scope yesterday the posterior part of my larynx was swollen due to reflux.
I have read up on LPR and this would explain my breathing difficulty, waking up choking, rare heart burn and acid, difficulty swallowing, frequent laryngitis, constant throat clearing, waking up with a sore throat, sore ears inside, swollen lymph nodes, swollen glands etc.
I am a little more positive than I was just a bit worried incase this is it for life
I could really use some advice as soon as possible. I've recently started going to therapy, and for whatever reason I seem to be getting worse. I have generalised anxiety, kinda severe ocd and mild depression.
I'm now considering meds as I can't seem to cope and I'm terrified almost all the time.
But I'm also on a contraceptive pill called microlite and I've heard some meds can stop the pill working right. I'm scared of unplanned pregnancy so I'd really appreciate advise from anyone who's on meds who could advise me what to take?
Obviously I'll talk to my doctor but she's a little old fashioned and I worry she might prescribe the wrong thing.
