Hirsutism Caused By PCOs - Don't Waste Money On Intense Pulse Laser
Jul 21, 2015
I have had hirsutism in the form of a beard for over 6 years and have finally found something that is working so I want to give some advice on what has been a very successful endeavor. Firstly if you are looking at IPL intense pulse laser, forget it, its the biggest waste of money and just doesn't work. A medical grade laser that only a doctor can perform the laser treatment is what you need. I have spent alot of wasted money on IPL to find its not suitable for hirsutism caused by pcos. I am only on my 2nd session of medical grade laser treatment and I have had amazing results. The sessions are $250 australian dollars and I may need 6-12 treatments, every case is different though and it could be less or more depending on how the treatments go. My doctor has also recommended a session once a year. Don't give up hope ladies!!

That's what I am experiencing along with shortness of breath, fatigue and aching. These are mild problems compared to the interferon based tx so I figured I'd just go with the flow. What has me more concerned is my low pulse which is consistently under 60 at rest and barely over 60 with exercise and I am breathing heavily most of the time. I had not heard of any relationship between Harvoni and high bp until I found this: ...

I have been taking alendronate tablets for several months and only last week decided that they are having an effect on my heart. I always take one Friday morning and on Saturday my heart seems to really thump every so many minutes. On taking my pulse I realised I was missing the odd beat. Then I realised that this "thumping" got less as the week went on, until on Thursday it didn't happen at all. I didn't take a tablet last Friday and have no recurrence of thumping or missing pulse beats since last Thursday. It is such a relief as I was getting quite worried. Doctor says she can give me a different tablet but I am wondering if I will get the same reaction. Has anyone else had this problem?

For three days now, I have been experiencing intense headaches and dizziness whenever I move. When I sit still, I cannot feel the headache, however, I do feel very lightheaded when I sit still. My eyes have also been extremely sore 24/7, and I have been experiencing the chills when it starts to get later into the night.
I have been taking my temperature very often the past few days and my temp hasn't been above 99 degrees F, so it is not a fever. I have also been hydrating myself profusely (dehydration was my first guess) and it is not dehydration.
I am a little worried since I have never really had issues with headaches or dizziness.

I've struggled with intense vulva itching since i was 18 and now am 25 and it seems to be getting more intense and more frequent. The appearance of my vulva has changed. The labia minora looks stretched and purplish brown. The outer lips have shrunken somewhat. I am experiencing yellowish discharge and burning after peeing. Pee seems to aggravate the itching even more. I have been treated for uti s and for yeast infections with no luck. I have tried changing to cotton underwear, avoiding soaps, and try to stay dry though it is had since I always seem to have discharge coming out. Having sex definitely aggravates the itching as well. It feels liI'm I'm allergic to everything and it's very frustrating not to have any doctors give answers. They don't know what my vulva used to look like so they don't believe it's a serious issue but it's too intense to ignore. Please advise me on what it could be and what I might do. It's been too long to ignore and it feels like it's getting worse.

I am 56 years old and have had hot flashes for about a year but for the past months they have been intense every 20-30 minutes and am going crazy. I am soaking wet and cannot sleep due to these episodes. I took I-Cool and it worked for awhile then just stopped working. I tried it again for 3+ months and it just didn't work again for me. I have been prescribed Gabapentin which doesn't help. So now I am trying Extra Strength Estroven (1 per day) and Black Cohosh (2 per day) and have been taking them for 5 days now with no relief yet. This is so debilitating as I don't go out much and cannot wear much in the way of clothing or even shoes as I get sooooo hot and sweaty.

Gender: Male
Medications: Zoloft (Sertraline) and Trazodone
Diagnosed Illnesses: Anxiety, Asperger's Syndrome, Depression, OCD, Migraines
Age: teen
When I first started experimenting with sex (masturbation), which was summer last year, it worked out fine for the first couple of times. Then, I would start getting terrible headaches at the base of my skull, near my neck, right before, during, or after ejaculation. They would usually go away after about 2-3 hours. One time I had actually passed out afterwards, and when I woke up, the headache was faint, but still present. They went away after about 4 times, but they came back for the first time tonight. The headaches are more intense than any other migraines I've had, and believe me, I've had doozies. Anyway, I have been doing research on these tonight (and when it first happened, I researched it but thought nothing of it) and I have been getting mixed answers. I think I have answered all of the questions that the replies to other forums have asked. I don't know if this matters, but my head was laid back and I was standing during the orgasm/headache. I have a bad habit of masturbating about 4-5 times a week, which I have been trying my best at stopping, or at least lowering it to once a week. Another thing I am particularly concerned about is approaching my parents with this information. I am young, so I cannot make a doctor's appointment by myself. I am very stressed about telling her, even though she knows I masturbate because she caught me one time , but she reacted calmly. Any information would benefit me a lot, but please don't post things like I have been reading like "Masturbation is a sin" because I know this.

Hearing heartbeat in ears. Sometimes it gets stronger First symptom is face gets very warm no fever, ears get hot and red and sensitive (right one) and whoosh or tzzing hearing in ears like pulse. It subsides after 8 hrs or less. Impossible to sleep. If I sleep flat on back am awakened 2 hrs later by
very strong heart beat like its forcing a lot of blood thru. Subsides with exercise. Condition goes away for 48 hrs so heart system not fighting infection. If I sleep with upper torso at 45 degree angle still wake after 2 hrs but pulses not as strong. Then after I can sleep for hrs no problem. Dr checked ears ok, did all blood work ok, I'm male 67 yrs and in gen good health. Did ultrasound on abdominal kidneys bladder ok. Seems like some chemical command triggering heart to pump harder and faster not too fast. I tested things to try to determine what triggers the face heat, ears hot and harder beats, chocolate, caffeine, pepsi's, salt, coughing, cigarette smoking, stressful video games have no effect. BP normal am taking Ramipril 10 mg Altace nothing else. Dont think its heart but something telling heart to work hard, feel it thumping in chest. Just repeated T3's blood test..and 24 hr urine special test..awaiting results. Reg urine test showed nothing, and abdominal ultrasound clear. No dizziness, nausea etc. Bowel and urine movement perfect, no pains or lightheadedness.

Prior to 3 weeks ago, I always slept through the night every night. Then on the Friday before Christmas, I started experiencing the same issue every night: I have no trouble falling asleep, I sleep for 2-3 hours, then am awakened with intense dry mouth (tongue feels like sandpaper) and an accelerated heart rate. It usually follows a brief nightmare, too.
I take a drink of water, then fall back asleepâ¦only to awaken an hour later for the same reason. This goes on every hour all nightâ¦wake up with dry mouth and high heart rate (over 100 bpm), drink water, fall back asleep, repeat. In the morning, I feel exhausted from the whole experience and my chest muscles are sore. The resulting frustration has led to anxiety attacks during the day, too.
Iâve tried every dry mouth remedy: humidifier, oral patch (tablet on the roof of the mouth that melts during the night), BreatheRite nasal strips, Biotene mouth spray, lip balm, etc. I also considered the possibility that this is a nutrition-related problem â I recently went to a low-carb diet, so to counteract any possible nocturnal hypoglycemia, I added some complex carbs to dinner (brown rice, oatmeal, etc). Doctor canât find anything wrongâ¦EKG, bloodwork, etc all come back normal.
Nothing has helped. I never suffer from dry mouth during the day this is a nighttime issue only.

I've started working out every day pretty intensely, as I'm trying to get very strong. I'm a seventeen year-old girl, and I was recently diagnosed to PACs and tachycardia, much to my surprise. I was completely unaware of these conditions until I went to my annual physical (which was the event my doctor discovered the conditions), two specialists, and had to wear a holter monitor for a day. My heartbeat is usually around 120, but the holter revealed it fluctuates anywhere from 56 to 173 BPM when I am not exercising. I have no idea how fast it goes when I exercise intensely or even at all.
Basically, I want to know if it's safe for me to be doing intensely strenuous exercises and intense cardio. I really want to be super strong and fit, and I know there are certain limits of mine involving cardio. Ex: I can't run a mile in under ten minutes because my heart prevents me from being able to breathe enough. But I use the stairmaster regularly and do intense muscular workouts, and I just wanted to make sure I'm not putting myself in danger.

I am currently on nexplanon. I got it put in on June 2014. Ever since December 2014 I have been having intense lower abdominal pain. It hurts if I try to walk or sit up. It hurts to pee. It feels like a lot of pressure where my female organs are. It's more painful at night and when I'm suppose to have my period. I haven't had a period since September 2014. I spot dark brown/black stuff. I am always dizzy and have headaches I don't know what's wrong. I'm hoping my doctor will let me get an ultrasound.

I woke up Monday morning with intense back pain that radiated to the front and cause sweating and nausea. It lasted about 20 minutes and was gone. I have had this about 5 or 6 times with months and even years in between. This is the first time I went to the emergency room. They worked me up for cardiac issue but found nothing thank goodness. They did do a cat scan but said nothing about a kidney stone. I am wondering if I could have passed a stone without knowing it or if the stone might be undetectable on a cat scan. We have not been able to figure out what causes these episodes.

On Sunday night my left leg started aching and I could barely walk because it hurt so much, also my hip hurt at the same time and my lower back on the left side, I stayed home from school for two days and then tried going there but that made the pain worse so both my legs started aching, it kind of felt like constant small cramps that sometimes got more intense, in my left leg it's my thigh and knee mainly and in my left leg my shin, I had to go home because the pain distracted me from being able to work.It later got a bit better but at night I had more intense cramps in my lower legs and feet.Today i've been pretty well, went to school again and now only my left leg is aching but not as much and mainly when I put weight on it but about an hour ago the left side of my face started to feel strange, I can't really explain it..but maybe a bit strained and also it burns, my jaw feels weird too.My parents says that I should not worry because I don't have any fever at all but I still want to know what the symptoms might be? I am going to see a doctor asap but there's no idea doing it now since I don't have a fever they won't take me seriously.Let me also add that I do not exercise and I sit behind my computer a lot, so it can't be some kind of injury.

I am at my wits end. I have been diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosus and it has spread significantly and rapidly over the last year. I have multiple patches on my back, chest, arms and groin. The itching is intense at times, annoying almost all the time. Dermovate and Nereson has not helped. Protopic has not helped and I believe has worsened the spreading? I have been prescribed antihistamines by GP but they don't even take the edge off the itch. Dermatologist just says "it might clear up, keep applying the dermovate". She doesn't seem to be concerned about the rate it is spreading. Going back to GP about the itching next week. I can't enjoy anything at the moment, even sitting and reading a book or watching TV due to the itching. I have a constant worry about the spreading - where will it ever stop? If ever. This is a living hell. Anyone else here suffering it with it in the same areas as me?

I suffered from anxiety as a side effect of a postnatal thyroid condition - my child is now 18 months old. I was treated with Citalopram and my thyroid condition was treated successfully. After weaning sensibly off Citalopram before Christmas I was feeling fine but still not 100%. I was given Trimethoprim for a suspected UTI infection last week and the next day I suffered a full on anxiety attack whilst at the shops. I seemed to get more anxious by the day, and my physical symptoms got worse - raging thirst, swollen and white furry tongue, aching limbs but numbness all down my right leg, numb fingers, clumsiness, tearful and felt slow mentally - my speech even became affected. The lower back ache that prompted the urine test got more persistent and I now have a pain in my left hip socket. I thought I was suffering from MS which only heightened my anxiety. I didn't really connect it with the antibiotics. I then looked on this website and saw a LOT of negative comments regarding this drug. I stopped on day 5 and went to the doctor yesterday feeling very tearful. I was then given 20mg Citalopram and some painkillers and was told it was probably a trapped nerve and not down to the antibiotics. The worse thing was that my urine sample had been normal so needn't have taken it in the first place!! I took one Citalopram yesterday and was completely spaced out and felt sick. Luckily my husband took a day off work but I can't function like that as a full time mum to a toddler. What I would like to know is has anyone had an experience like this and should I wait a few days to see if I feel better without the Citalopram, in the hope that the anxiety was caused by the Trimethoprim. Ideally I don't want to start Citalopram only to go through withdrawal etc. We also want to add to our family at some point so ideally want to be drug free. Am considering a more herbal approach if the anxiety presents itself again like St Johns Wort
