View 9 RepliesI was driving my dad to therapy and halfway while driving I felt like a stinging/electrical pain like pulsating a few times and it went away. It lasted a couple of seconds. But it freaked me out. It was like in middle of my stomach like in a straight horizontal like.
I fear a heart attack and idk what to do.
I had 2 blood test done, 2 chest x rays, 1 EKG and they said everything we normal.
I'm not feeling pain now, no weakness, not nauseous, no tingling
For about a week now I've had burning sensation in my chest and upper stomach, not sure if it's muscle or inside my stomach. I guess it's muscle as its sensitive when my clothes brush against it. Has anyone else had this? Also the other day I had weird sensation in my foot like a buzzing feeling and it radiated up my leg and now I keep getting aches, pinches and pins and needles in my leg which makes me worry I have a blood clot or something even though everyone is telling me it's just anxiety, I'm having hard time sleeping because of it. Does anyone else experience these things? I hate how every pain I get I think I'm dying!!!
View 15 RepliesEver since I was a little kid i've gotten those really intense stomach aches/cramps whenever i'm doing something special. When I was a kid I got them every single morning before school, I used to sit on the floor and almost cry because it hurt so badly but they always passed as soon as I got there. Nowadays I don't get them every time i'm going to school but every time i'm doing something special like going on a date with my boyfriend or travelling somewhere! I get so nauseous, I run to the bathroom several times and I can't eat for the entire day. It has been so bad I was on a date once and I couldn't eat, I had to force myself to and later run to the bathroom where I nearly threw up. I don't get nervous, at least I don't feel nervous.. but maybe that's it? I just think it's weird because I can be super excited about something but those stomach pains ruin everything..
Also lately i've had this weird burning sensation in my stomach, it gets worse when I eat spicy foods or drink coffee or anything else with lots of caffeine like energy drinks. I've never been sensitive to either before in my life. I've been a coffee drinker since age 5. Believe it or not..
But those burning stomach pains they have been there for maybe 2 or 3 months now.. everyday more or less. It's getting really annoying.
Any ideas what either of those things could be? Do I have a sensitive belly or something and how do I treat that?
past few days after been out saturday night drinkin my stomachs been in agony both sides hurting, fort it was my kidney then i went to the docs today he's giving me omeprazole i've been waking up with a cough sore chest both sides of my stomach hurting like a burning sensation? sore back and a general loss of appetite anybody know what may be up with me?
View 2 RepliesIt started one Saturday night when after a long day of doing overtime at work, followed by handing in my degree dissertation, I could not eat very much going to bed and was waking up a lot during the night because I was hungry, but when I tried to eat I couldn't stomach much. I went to the doctors on the Tuesday and she suggested it was just a bug as I was so tired and had very little energy. She took bloods which all came back fine. I felt a little better a week later but still not right but tried to put it at the back of my mind. However, every so often I would have an episode where I was feeling sick and had stomach pains and I could not each much so I lost a lot of weight.
The doctor prescribed me with domperidone in September which helped for a number of months but stomach was still not right.
Fast forward to 4 weeks ago I wasn't feeling too bad and was managing to get on with day to day life with some limitations (because of my stomach issues, I cannot drink alcohol, coffee or fizzy drinks) so I rarely go out. The doctor diagnosed me with stress and anxiety and I have recently started speaking to a therapist through work.
But basically, for the last four weeks I have been feeling sick all day every day with stomach pains a few times a day which prevents me from getting on with day to day life. It started the day after I had sex and the day after that I had my period as well as a cold. These pains do not seem to be getting any better and seems to help when I have something to eat, but I cannot face eating a lot. For example, bananas help but I don't want to have too many a day as they have bloated me in the past.
A couple of nights ago I woke up with a tremendous pain down the left side of my stomach which then moved over into the centre. I still feel sick but feel much better when I am out and about walking for example, but its just a lot of effort to get up and about when sometimes i do not want to get out of bed.
This condition is stopping me from leading a normal active, well life. I am only 24 and cannot seem to lead a normal life in comparison to my friends who can. The docs still say this is down to stress and anxiety but it has to be much more than that. I get the impression that my parents, friends and work colleagues do not understand and the fact that the pain is constant does nothing to lower my stress and anxiety levels as I always have to make sure I take food with me wherever I go and can't go too long without food.
I reserved oral sex over a month ago just oral and now I have chest pain stomach pain in a few places and bloating and gas and white tongue my head hurts sometime I have no other symptom and am afraid it maybe aids/hiv
View 10 Repliesi think I've been peri for a few months now, even though blood test says I'm not! , I've had hot flushes, pains in chest and palpitations, first doc said menopause, 2nd said acid reflux for which I'm now been treated, but I know this can be linked to peri as well.
my new symptoms are stomach cramps like I get when I'm due on, but it's mid cycle, my periods have been regular so far, is this how it all begins?
I'm 20 years old and been dealing with really bad acid reflux for about 6 years now. For about a year now i've been on the depo provera shot which has seemed to slow down my flare ups. When this all started i would get sick every time i started my period for me in the morning as soon as i get up. Since the depo shot i've been getting sick every three months right before my next shot. These flare up usually lasted about a week and a half at most(which really sucks cuz it affects my life in every way imaginable). My symptoms when im sick is usually nausea, vomiting, burning in my stomach, burning in my throat, fatigue, sharp lower pains, and sometimes it gets so bad because i'm scared to get sick i have panic attacks. When i was 14 doctors found an ulcer cover 90% of my stomach. That was seen doing a endoscopy. I was still having issues shortly after leaving the hospital, so talked with my doctor and had a laparoscopy scheduled. Did that and they found i had built up scar tissue on my female parts cant remember every detail as its been a long time ago and i'm always sick when they finally want to try something. So anyways they also found a cyst near my belly button. It seemed as if their findings was not a big deal. So down the road still getting sick i had my appendix removed, and that didn't change a thing. I've had numerous ultra sounds, x rays, blood test, cat scans and i'm probably forgetting more. I'm just hoping someone will have a possible answer since i been too more doctor i can count on both my hands and toes and that haven't a clue.. Just to put it out there i am not a liquor drinker, i smoke cigarettes and marijuana. I also do not drink caffeine anymore for the past 3 years basically. !
View 1 RepliesI had my gallbladder removed laparoscopically 8 days ago and had to drive myself to my follow up appointment yesterday. That is the most I have moved in the last week and since yesterday I am getting this burning/pulling excruciating pain in the center of my stomach about 2 inches above my belly button. I think I may have strained that muscle getting in and out of my vehicle. It hurts to stand, sit, walk, cough & sneeze. I feel most comfortable laying down elevated. That area is also sensitive to touch. Has anyone else experienced this type of pain?
View 9 RepliesI am having burning throat and stomach... I have had a barium swallow and when the machine tipped me on my back, the contents of my stomach go up into my esophagus. I had a scope which said the ph in my stomach wasn't horrible and then a ph monitor in my throat which showed that the ph in my throat isn't bad until I lay down at night. My doctor also said my lower esophageal stayed open during the entire procedure and and he thinks it doesn't close at all anymore. My throat hurts everyday. I am supposed to take 40mg of omeprazole twice a day but I know long term it's bad for you. I am looking at nissen fundoplication but am afraid because it's serious and requires a long recovery. I am nervous as I heard you can never vomit again and I do ge nauseated even just on a ride in the car. Anyone had good results with surgery or anything else ?
View 1 RepliesI was walking through my house not doing anything abnormal and got this sudden sharp lightning bolt like pain in my left side from around the bottom of my neck down through the left side of my chest. It was very quick and so far only happened once but it was painful and really scared me. After it happened the muscles in my left leg seemed to tense up.
View 2 RepliesI'm looking for some advice i have suffered palpitations for years but have been told its nothing to worry about, however recently its been happening more often and also a very heavy crushing feeling in my chest but blood tests and ecgs are all normal. I cant believe this feeling is normal?

View 58 RepliesHave been on propranolol for about 6 months 40 mg twice a day, have been put on 5 day heart monitor and told to stop medication while on the monitor , is that not too long a time to do without, only on day 3 and woke up during the night with the old chest pains, headache, feeling sick and confused.
View 1 RepliesI'm 37 years old. I've been diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease) when I was 25. My symptoms include: weight gain, water retention, leg swelling, hair loss, awful hirsutism, bloating, periodically growing cysts, and periodic urinary tract pain.
I don't eat red meat and dairy. I try to limit processed carbohydrates consumption (bread, pasta etc). I sometimes eat soy products but they don't go well with my thyroid. I don't exercise enough.
All the above mentioned symptoms have gotten worse in the last 13 months. I have a "beard" that I need to remove at least twice a week. I went from 125 lbs (56 kg) to 139 lbs (63 kg)! I can't fit into my clothes at all. My calves get so swelled during the day, I gave up wearing boots in winter and wearing skirts, because the look huge.
Right now, I'm having one of my "flairs". My right ovary is burning and so is the rest of my abdomen, urinary tract included.
Doctors are always happy with my results. And oddly enough my blood tests always come back normal. Hormones included, except the estrogen that seems to be on the (acceptably) lower side. I haven't tested my levels of DHT. (My doctors never prescribe that test. Well, they never prescribe the one for estrogen; I paid for that one myself a few weeks ago). Whenever I have an ultrasound they confirm the PCOS as well as the fact that my right ovary is enlarged. But they’re never worried.
My thyroid therapy seems to be off. My endo changed it two months ago, from levothyrox to euthyral (combination of T3 and T4). And I don't feel great. I always feel a lump in my throat. I'm experiencing lack of energy and enthusiasm (too little thyroid hormone), along with occasional heart palpitations (too much thyroid hormone). It was supposed to make me feel better and help the weight loss. It made me feel worse with the mixed symptoms of hypo and hyper thyroid.
I'm thinking about fasting (juice/water), going raw, eating only during 8H a day (mostly veggies nad fish), eliminating gluten all together.
I had protected oral sex on 3rd April and protected oral and vaginal sex with a prostitute in bali on 7th april.
on 12th and 14th i had rashes with itching but since i take anti allergic medicines they went away, since 15th april, i am having the tingling feeling on middle back portion and till now i am having the tingling feeling on the same portion and it comes and goes away. Since 20th april i have burning feeling sometime on upper back and upper chest and sometime on face.....
did anyone faced these kind of symptoms....
I am scared for HIV as she was very dry during the act and for around a min when she on top my penis was not hard enough but when we changed the position then i saw condom was covering the whole penis and then we continued....
I am experiencing the sensation of food being stuck in the throat/chest, as if you swallowed a large pill and it is resting there. I have had acid reflux issues and take Zantac for it (previously Prilosec) and neither of them helped much. It's difficult to swallow and I also feel like I need to burp to relieve some pressure build-up in my throat/chest.
I woke up out of sleep last night and felt this sensation severely along with stabbing pain in my upper abdomen the radiated up to my chest. There's dull pain in my lower back as well along with nausea, trouble getting a full breath. It's extremely uncomfortable and concerning. It seems to hurt more when lying down, but I feel it when I'm upright too.
I'm waiting on a referral to see a Gastroenterologist to discuss my very extensive list of symptoms.
I understand that it anxiety could add to the pains I'm feeling, and I do have extreme anxiety when it comes to my health, but what I'm worried about is that I woke up out of my sleep with this pain to where it can't be directly caused by anxiety. I've been to the hospital for chest pains a couple of occasions and they ruled out everything but anxiety. So trust me, I know what anxiety can do.
So spent night in hospital for chest infection on Tuesday night. Been on 50mg steroids and 500 mg Co amoxiclav three times a day.
Pulled my back muscles coughing yesterday so taking diazepam as doctor prescribed for it as asthmatic so can't take ibuprofen.
However today when woke up my lower right lung area is swollen and have acute sharp stabbing pain when cough and constant pain which is dull. Anyone any idea what it is? I'm wondering if diaphragm or maybe need to see doctor for 3rd day this week.
I'm 29, mostly healthy, unfortunately I'm a cigarette smoker but I am a hypochondriac and suffer from bad anxiety. The past 6 weeks have been tough. I just recently got off Xanax after 5 weeks of daily use for panic attacks and sleep. I was taking about .25 to .5 a night. Quit last Tuesday only withdrawal symptoms was insomnia and a little night sweats. Head feels a lot clearer and I feel better. I'm now taking lexapro which I've now been on for 3 weeks. I do feel it's helping a bit and I also up the dosage from 5mg to 10mg. I'm taking trazodone for sleep also. But In the past 2 weeks I have been getting some chest cramping. Tightness in the center of my breasts, little pains here and there but I can't figure out if it's heartburn, acid indigestion, or what it can be. I know anxiety can give u tightness in the chest which I have felt many times but the cramping and tightness freaks me out! The hypochondriac part of me keeps thinking I'm having lung issues or heart issues. It's like if it ain't one thing it's another with me. And I hate it. Does anyone have anything like that from meds? I need some reassurance. I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow to make sure it's just from the meds.
View 3 RepliesI'm 60, had asthma for just over 3 years, which started after a persistent bout of bronchitis. I take Seretide twice daily. I try to run regularly when I'm able, but I'm never quite sure how I should respond at the onset of normal cold symptoms. Once I have any degree of cold infection, I regularly experience chest tightness and discomfort immediately, almost before any cold symptoms have established. I'm not really sure what the best strategy is to get rid of the chest tightness, prevent the cold developing and enable me to continue exercising. I try increasing my inhaler dose, take extra vitC, etc but without great success. I'd really value hearing how others deal with this, is it just a case of putting up with it, or should I be able to nip it in the bud?
