Eye Swelling When Drinking Beer?
Feb 23, 2008
I was wondering if there was anyway to stop eye swelling when drinking beer? When i drink beer only my right eye will swell, but if i drink enough it will go over to my left eye. When i would drink clear beverages like vodka or Smirnoff nothing would happen. is there any way to stop this?

I want to ask something. Most of you will think that I am mad or something. I am pregnant. I have found out that yesterday. I have one habit that is usually associated with men. I like to drink beer or two daily. Often, I drink it after a meal. Can I drink beer in pregnancy? I will not drink every day of course.

So I am type 2 diabetic and I want to know if I can drink beer. I usually go out on the weekend and drink cola but I'd like to drink a beer or two. Would this be ok or will this mess me up?

I spent 4 nights in the hospital with a BPE last month. No clotting problems before nor a history in my family so came as a shock. I'm 39 and never had nany health issues in my life. I was recently diagnosed with Leiden Factor V and told I'll have to take warfarin for the rest of my life. My doctor told me absolutely no binge drinking. (Is there any other kind?) I don't drink every day. But once a month or so I like to buy a case of beer at home or go to Vegas for a few nights and drink while I'm there. On these occasions I will drink 10-16 beers a night. There is no way I will accept not being able to drink beer for the rest of my life. I understand you can't drink on Coumadin (I would never drink one or two beers at a time). What happens if you say you stop taking Coumadin for a few days every month or so and drink? How dangerous? How long does it take for Coumadin to clear your system? The reality is this is what I'm likely to do when I feel like drinking.

Hi. I am a guy 35 years old and I have a wife that is pregnant. She is in fourth month now, but she drinks beer from time to time, even though I tell her not to do it. She isn't a heavy drinker but still, it frightens me. Tell me. How bad is drinking beer in the early pregnancy?

I like to drink beer and can’t even imagine having a beer without cigarette. So, now when I think of quitting smoking, I can see myself without cigarette in every situation except when I take a beer. How to quit smoking when drinking a beer?

My wife complains about my beer belly. She says I look like a wreck and refuses any intimacy with me. I want to get rid of it, but I like beer more than myself. So, I reckoned that if I start running my beer belly will gradually disappear. But I’m not ready to leave beer. What if I don’t stop drinking beer and start running?

About 2 years ago I noticed a knot pop up under my right jaw bone. I thought it was a swollen lymph node, and it only really hurt when I swallowed and would start swelling back up every couple months on and off. Recently the knot had been swollen up more, I can always feel it, but it will swell up bigger when I am eating at times. Along with that for the past couple months you can see a sort of swelling or lumps and redness in the back of my throat ( I don't have tonsils) but that is also on the right side. This hasn't gone away at all, even when my throat isn't hurting. I also have swollen glands under my tongue that sometimes swell more and hurt when I eat. My family doctor has put me on two antibiotics, and I did test and was treated for type C strep, but no swelling went away after that.

I have a “beer belly”. My wife is teasing me and so do my friends. Sedentary lifestyle and too many beers did their part. I want to lose fat, especially my beer belly. What do you think about shaping stomach by swimming? Can I lose my belly by swimming? I don’t want to get smaller anywhere except in the stomach region.

It's been about a year now that we've moved to Germany. At first I would try one beer a night 2-4 times a week. Slowly it's gotten worse to the point that every night I now drink at least 4 half liters (17oz each) every single night and I can't remember the last time I didn't drink. It seems like everyday I wake up and promise myself I won't drink today but I just can't not drink.... The beer is just so damn good I can't get enough of it; and it's super cheap too.
It hasn't caused any problems with my family or daily routine aside from me being tired all the time.

My husband was diagnosed with crohn’s disease some time ago. It seems that he is not allowed to drink beer. I don’t know how he will be able to do this, since he is a great fan of beer. Why isn’t he allowed to take it? Can someone tell me?

I am a fellow celiac who dreams of having more gluten-free beer options that taste good and are proven safe. Maybe one day in the future I'll be pushing beer companies to develop such methods. But for the moment I want to know if anyone out there shares my sentiments.

I never had drinking problems. I drink alcohol rarely, only in special occasions. I was drunk only once in my life, on my brother's wedding. I had started to drink one glass of beer a day. It is my friend recommended me to power up the intake of vitamin B. But every time I drink that glass of beer I have diarrhea for two or three days. Is it possible that I am allergic to beer?

Yes, you know I like my beer. Now, is there really any difference between having a beer or two or a soda or two? I actually cannot drink soda due to the massive carbonation. It hurts my GERD. Beer doesn't give me any problems, and I like the taste better anyway. Don't get me wrong, I still drink a lot of water and milk, just enjoy a beer on occasion.

I had my first beer (age - 15) I didn't have a full one but I drank it somewhat quickly. That night I did eat some junk food. And when I went to bed I couldn't sleep. I wasn't tired at all and my stomach hurt a ton. It hurt in my stomach but I thought it was something like HAV but I have no clue. I really didn't sleep at all and now it's the next morning and I have no appetite and I feel I'll throw up if I eat. Also last night I took a few pepto bismo that didn't help. I was also gaging.

I'm 19 years old.
My doctor prescribed me Xanax 0.25 mg, only for stressful situations, but I feel that 0.25mg it's having no effect at all.
This Sunday I'm going to camp with my friends and I feel very anxious when I'm waiting on lines and my legs shake because of that. So I want to try 0.5mg of Xanax to help my anxiety. But we use to drink beer all day, but not in an way to get severely drunk. Like 8 or 9 beers. So, If I take Xanax 0.5 mg in the morning, and during the day drink beer, will it be a bad interaction?

Okay. So the last time I posted on here I was tapering off wine using beer. That doesn't work. I had one day when I had one beer, was really proud of myself, then had three bottles of my favourite wine to celebrate the next day.
I've tried reducing my intake, as recommended by some lovely people on here. I have come down from three bottles to two. I actually had less than a bottle one day last week and felt really good the next day. Well, as you all know, the next day I celebrated my less than one bottle of wine day by drinking a hell of a lot more.
I have been to my doctor. I was told that what I was drinking wasn't enough to worry about. The fact that I have stomach problems, palpitations, night sweats must be due to my age. He prescribed me with peppermint oil!
Yes, I might be on the perimenopause, I'm 45. But I can't get any help from my GP. I have PTSD. All my GP did was double my dose of my usual medication, prescribe me peppermint oil and send me home. Is it always this difficult to get help?
Are there any other methods I can try to get off this damn demon alcohol?
