Labia Minora Is Red - Used Bikini Line Hair Removal Cream

I used bikini line hair removal cream today which indicated that it was okay to use in the shower. I used it only on my upper pubic area and around the bikini line and was careful to remove the cream and then thoroughly rinsed my pubic area. I noticed afterwards the the inner part of my labia minora is very red. It isn't in pain and it doesn't itch but I'm worried that this might lead to an infection. Should I be worried about this?

Can Migraine Permanently Damage Inner Ears?

So for the past 11 months I have been having a number of inner ear related problems (or so I think), but some other neuro problems as well.

It all started from 3 separate exposures to very high decibel noise which left me with a little permanent hearing loss in both ears and major depression.

Though I have not been around intense noise since May, my symptoms have progressed and now I have 'episodes' consisting of mild-moderate vertigo attacks (counterclockwise rotation or a rocking boat sensation), periods of non-disabling imbalance (yet I can have trouble walking), very high or low frequency tinnitus (high pitched squealing or a low pitched rushing sound like the tide), ear pressure, and small bouts of very high or low frequency hearing loss that are usually permanent. These episodes are usually set off by loudish but absolutely safe noises, as well as strenuous exercise and possibly foods.

Though I would think these symptoms describe cochlear hydrops, these are not my only symptoms I experience during said episodes:

1. Headaches that can best be described as an increased pressure sensation, like my head is being blown up. Usually, the headaches begin at the temples accompanying a small hearing loss, then progress into my sinuses where they become painful.
2. Tingling that returns in specific areas of my hands and feet
3. Pressure and 'dullness' behind the eyes, and sides of head (I see perfectly but it's as if my brain dissociates from my visual field)
4. Crackling sounds in my head
5. An infrequent 'fuzzy' and lightheaded feeling in my head and around my neck. Lots of lightheadedness.
6. Almost passing out on a few occasions
7. Occasional visual aura (once it was a blurry spot in vision, another time it was little white specks flashing in both eyes)
8. Brain fog and cognitive problems
9.Feelings of dissociating from the world around me, typically when some hearing goes out.
9. Jaw pain
10. Tight neck and facial muscles
11. Frequent perception that I have a low grade fever
12. Mild nausea
13. Constant fatigue (I'm 21 but I have the energy levels of a 60 year old it seems.)
14. Frequent panic attacks

Anyway, does this long list of symptoms seem to be suggestive of basilar or vestibular migraines?

Relatedly, can migraines cause small degrees of progressive hearing loss, especially in the high frequencies? That's by far my most distressing symptom personally but I cannot find too much literature linking migraine to permanent hearing loss and cochlear symptoms in general.

Haloperidol Blocked Dopamine Receptors Of The Brain Permanently?

I once got an injection of Haloperidol at E.R. I heard it blocks dopamine receptors of the brain. Is this blockage permanent after one shot?

I dopamine deficiency symptoms. My condition is:

I have no issues concentrating, I can focus for at least 16 hours a day and I don't even notice if the sun goes down along the way, I can't be distracted, unless I chose to leave my task

I remember everything I learned, be it source codes letter by letter and in big mass (60 pages of handout)

My dexterity and balance serves me well

I am unable to get excited, I'm never satisfied with what I do. At first maybe a bit then I think its not that good.

I have issues falling asleep when I start thinking about my projects, on how to do them.

I can't really express emotions, I have a neutral state and when I'm worried

I'm antisocial, I only care about getting better at what I do.

I had this condition in all my life, I'm just worried if the injection caused any lasting impact on my brain.

Anxiety :: Nervous Breakdown - Memory Loss And Damaged Permanently

In March of 1980, I had my first nervous breakdown.... and the reason that I use this old term is because it's the closest thing to being accurate.  Symptoms included a sensation of electrical discharge.  I lost quite a bit of my personal memory banks.   I was in the hospital due to depression, and from the hospital I went to many facilities before recouping enough to live on my own again.  I thought it impossible that I could have anything even remotely like this again.   But since that time I have had 3 more breakdowns in my life.   Now my memory is horribly damaged, but the kind of loss does not appear in psych testing.   The psych testing that is done can not test for personal memory.  Things like memory for faces... for conversation... for what you did on a given day....for where you parked your car at the ball game.   All of that is severely damaged.     My wife looks out for me, but she does not truly understand what is wrong.  I wish I could explain it to her.   It's tough to explain to anybody.   And, I've never found another soul who went thru this.... that is, anxiety leading to permanent personal/mental damage.

I am new to this site, so perhaps there has been others who have gone thru this.   What I cannot understand is why mine was permanent.    I've read about so many folks who went thru this or that, only to get better.   But the electrical discharge I felt in 1980...that was real.... and seemingly unique.  Wondering if anyone has ever heard of anything remotely like this.....

Hemorrhoids :: Wet Tissue Method To Push Them Inside

This is not cure, but it really worked for me for 8 mths to reclaim my life. I have hemorrhoids since 2012, and bleeded furiously at times. I have tried several methods to cure, tried pushing in the piles using KY gel during work or soap when bathing. But no success. Then one day I tried using wet tissues to push in. Worked like a charm! Even when I have diarrhea and had to go toilet 3 times, it still worked!!

This is how I would advise...

Right after your bowel business, take 3 wet wipes (pref the flushable type - otherwise do not throw into toilet bowl).

I use the first for cleaning. I would wipe twice with it (mine is 19x20 cm)

Then I would fold the second into half, wipe once, then fold again.

Position 2 fingers onto the center of the wet wipe (now quarter-sized) and push gently into anus.

First push at the center of piles (I have 2 big and 1 small, the smaller one most painful).

Push gently in, while relaxing your anal muscles.

Withdraw fully till the tips of your fingers are just touching the anus, then push in again.

Repeat one or twice more, then begin targeting the piles, pushing them in.

Total of 6-8 times shd do the trick.

Third wet wipe? Just a spare. I usually used it to confirm that it is clean.

But why wet tissues? Because they provide enough traction to draw the piles in, but wet enough to make it painless, and tough enough not to break.

Tips:

1. Experiment with different hands when pushing. I used to do it with the hand I normally wipe with, but my first finger started to ache after 3 months. Then I tried the other hand, and behold, angle is such that it is much easier to push in. And because it takes less effort, my finger of that hand has not ache even now.

2. Squeeze your anal muscles gently after the piles have been push in. If you feel a slight sensation of piles being drawn in fully, then you'll know it is done. Even if not, as long as your piles is no longer painful nor interfere your life, it shd be considered ok.

The whole thing only takes one more min in the toilet. And by using flushable wet tissues, it is so convenient, you can just throw into the toilet bowl, at home or outside.

Is Excision And Ligation An Adequate Vasectomy Occlusion Method?

I am considering a vasectomy, and according to the medical literature (see links to citations below), the recommended methods for vas occlusion are cautery and/or fascial interposition (preferably both methods).

However, I have consulted with two local urologists, and neither of them use either of these techniques. Instead, both simply do an excision and ligation, and one of them takes an additional step of folding back and suturing the ends of the vas deferens. Both physicians have very good credentials and are highly experienced.

Is it unusual for urologists (in the U.S.) to perform only excision and ligation without any cautery or fascial interposition, or is excision and ligation still commonplace and considered good practice? Is it important to perform cautery and/or fascial interposition, and should I therefore continue to look for a urologist who performs one or both of those techniques?

Note, I am particularly concerned about long-term recanalization (i.e., a year or more after the procedure). I know the rates of late recanalization are generally assumed to be low, but as I understand it, the true rate is difficult to ascertain due to a lack of systematic long-term follow-up.

Hip Replacement Recovery? Gym Bunny Or Lazy Slob Method

I am 53 and have had two uncemented THRs in 6 months, both because of OA, and have been encouraged to have the Lazy Slob method of recovery.

That is, in the first 6 weeks...

Walking with aids only

No physio

Exercise is moving leg back and forth and slightly out to side a few times a day and rotating and pumping foot.

I take 1 blood thinning tablet for 35 days

No stockings

My recovery for both ops looks as if it's going to be the same and now at 3 weeks after the second I am again walking around the house without aids but using my crutches to support walking when I am out.

The first two weeks were tough but I had had no strains or injuries. my first hip is very strong and doing an admirable job of holding up the new lefty.

After my 7 week check with the first I was advised to slowly build up strength (I drove to the appointment) but was also given some lifetime restrictions of no impact sports, twisting or pivoting to preserve the hip for as long as possible. (My surgeon said I can do the splits, run marathons and take up rugby if I wanted to but he would see me back in his office in 5 years for a revision!!!). Because I was waiting for the second hip to be done my exercise was restricted by pain so I kept fit by swimming.

I know there is no right or wrong and every method depends on the consultant but I have been surprised at the number of stresses and strains that some people have suffered after being made to do exercises by PT's.

I have read about torn tendons, inflamed muscles, swollen knees and ankles and wonder if there is any correlation to the amount of exercise we are given.

Hallux Rigidus - Minimally Invasive Cheilectomy (keyhole Method) Pros And Cons?

I have moderate hallux rigidus and am interested in investigating having cheilectomy surgery done by the minimally invasive, keyhole method. I don't normally have pain whilst walking but the lump rubs up against shoes, aches and limits the sort of footgear I can wear.  I should love to be able to wear heels again but do not want to end up in a worse situation post op.

2 questions:

Does anyone have experience they can share of the pros and cons of this newish method of operating  ?

Are there centres in Somerset / South West who offer this treatment?

Hair Loss :: Anemia (low Iron Level) Losing A Ton Of Hair Each Day

I began seeing bald patches on my head: one rather large one and 2 smaller ones. I also am losing a ton of hair each day. I have been diagnosed with a ferritin level of 8 and an iron level of 28. I am taking 325 mg of iron 3 times a day along with other vitamins. Approximately how long before I see an improvement in hair fallout and regrowth. I am also seeing a dermatologist for corticosteriod injections to help with regrowth in the completely bald spots. I am strongly considering shaving my whole head?

Opening Near Anus - Hemorrhoid Cream?

For the last 1 or 2 days I have had a painful lump on the skin around my anus. It is about a centimetre away from the opening but still on the anus part. It doesn't hurt sitting but on occasion you notice it is there.

I thought it might be a spot, but then started reading about Hemorrhoids.

When I went to the toilet shortly ago after I defecated I wiped and there was quite a lot of dark red blood on the toilet tissue. The pain was sort of gone then, like it had released the pressure. I immediately applied germolene to it as that seemed like the best product to use from the house.

My questions...Do you think that sounds like Hemorrhoids? Is the likelihood it will go away on its own if I drink plenty of water and eat plenty of fruit? Should I go out and buy some Hemorrhoid cream from the supermarket?

I have never had this before. I have not had irregular bowel movements, diarrhea or constipation recently although have had IBS symptoms on and off for years now. This lump is in no way connected to the inside of my anus. It felt like the size of a pea, maybe slightly smaller.
