Common Table Salt In A Warm Bath Cured My Scabies
May 18, 2006
I was very happy to find that common table salt in a warm bath cured my Scabies. After soaking for 15 minutes, get out of the bath and drip dry. Do not use a towel, but if you must, just pat dry with kitchen towels as they are more hygienic. If needed, repeat after 4 days.
I feel this treatment should be made public, as it is free of harmful poisons associated with common cures prescribed by the physician.
The salt will get into the mite holes to kill the eggs, and also kill the mites on the surface almost instantly.
This is something all families have readily available in the kitchen, and is very simple to use.
Make sure all bedding is washed in at least 50 degrees, and clothing is changed and washed as hot as possible.

After fighting this for four months I have had no spots or itching for several weeks now. I have however kept applying the cream (lyclear ) every second day. For the past three days i have not applied cream. Tonight checking my skin (as i do every night) to my horror i have found a spot with a white dot in the middle. I am devastated. I have not been in contact with anyone who has scabies. Do i have to go through all this again. Can i ever be free of this.

I'm 23 weeks and 3 days and my lower back, hips and knees hurt me so bad I can't sleep that well. So is it okay to take a nice warm Epsom salt bath or any other suggestions? I have scoliosis in the lower back and just started showing in my belly area (well it just appeared one morning lol) but I've noticed my back and everything has been really sore.

Well back in January i accidentally hit the sharp edge of table with my thigh. It did not bleed at all, it did not hurt much either ( pain went away a few minutes after the hit thankfully) . It was a bit swollen and more red, no bleeding and it started to form bruise afterwards. Well now it is May, so 4 months after - bruise is going away but i can see that area where i hit the edge is not flat anymore. It actually has some indentation, dent in it ( not big, not much deep, rather superficial but very visible when i stand and on certain light). It also looks like it is still darkened, 4 months after, like bruise is still not completely gone. I think darkening somes from bruise still forming and not from shade of dent. Not sure

Ok so I've been trying to get rid of my hives for a little over a week now. This is the first time I've had them. I've gone to the doctor twice and the ER once for them. The doctor gave me 2 steroid shots and gave me some scripts. I'm using Triamcinolone Acetonide cream, I'm on day 4/6 MethylPREDNISolone pills, and I'm taking Hydroxyzine pills 4x daily. The ER suggested that it may be scabies and prescribed me the cream which I've already used and am through with. The ER also gave me a shot of meds that was suppose to kill the scabies if there were any and gave me a shot of benadryl. The ER wasn't sure if I actually had scabies or not but went ahead and treated me for them just in case. I live in my apartment with my boyfriend and he has been untouched. I've washed everything washable in hot water twice now and I've been staying at my grandmother's house until I can get rid of them. But they're still popping up. I haven't changed anything in my diet. I do own 3 cats but have never had problems with them. They are indoor cats and I haven't seen them in 4 days. I haven't changed anything in my daily routine. I'm just completely out of ideas for why/how I've gotten them and why I can't get rid of them. I have another prednisone treatment waiting at the pharmacy for me prescribed by the ER but haven't picked it up yet because I'm still taking the Methyl. I have been to an allergist but all the tests came back negative.

I have had PR for 3 weeks now.
I have spots all over my stomach, chest, arms and a few on my upper legs.
The itching is driving me mad.
I have tried calamine, bio oil, moisturisers, piriton and anti-itch creams but they just don't do the trick. Today I tried anti dandruff shampoo as I know it has worked for a lot of people on here. Sadly not on my spots. The minute I put it on the itching got 10 times worse!
The only thing that I have found to work is to have a warm shower and exfoliate them. I have found that after doing this I have at least 90 minutes with no itching. So far this evening I have had 4 showers!!!!! Fingers crossed this is nearly the end of PR as I may go crazy if it doesn't go soon.

I have been dealing with the first few months of CRPS which started as burning hot and has changed to a freezing foot that turns blue or purple. Lately I have noticed the bottom of my foot will be ice cold but the top of my foot is normal temp, my toes are like ice. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am battling the workers comp nightmare right now and I hate to tell them about this as it may complicate an already horrible experience dealing with them.

swollen neck glands are pretty common I know, but do many of you also get swelling in the groin area as well? This is new to me. I have not had a good week and earlier in the week I had swollen neck glands which I am familiar with, sore throat, aching muscles etc but today found a swelling in my groin which is tender and warm. Should I be worried?

We only shared a bath once also, is it possible to get chlamydia any other way other than through sexually contact? I've read horrible stories about children getting it from their parents without sexual contact and having their children taken about way because they assume rape.

Well I got some Dead Sea bath salts today and have been looking forward to having a bath.
Poured a lukewarm bath and in I go..........bliss
it was so relaxing - I felt great.
And then the problem ......... How do I get out?
had to shout on my hubby as I was well and truly stuck. I managed to get onto my knees and out that way. Was not a pretty sight.
That's what I get for being too confident.

Not thinking yesterday I gave my dog a flea bath using shampoo containing pyrethins .15% and piperonyl butoxide 1.5%. I'm nervous of the effect this may have on my pregnancy and brain development especially at this time. I'm reading these chemicals can cause autism. I washed my hands repeatedly after I realized this was a stupid thing to do. But I also had a small cut so I'm more worried about the chemicals absorbing in my skin and blood. Do you think I caused permanent damage? I'm a nervous wreck.
I gave her a bath today with regular shampoo and used a glove. However I reached my hand into the rise water to pull the drain, would that be a second exposure if flea shampoo was in the water? I washed my hands again repeatedly.

I'm only 23, but I hope someone will take me seriously.
I've had a constant headache for about four weeks. It kind of fades in and out, but is still always there. I've had streaking pains in my head for about a year. There is also a spot on top of my head that sometimes feels like someone is drilling a hole in it, and I sometimes get this with the headaches. The top of my head is sensitive to the touch in some spots.
Also, I've had stomach problems for about two years now, and the doctors can't figure out what it is. I've had just about every test done, and everything says I'm fine. But I get nauseated and sometimes throw up after every time I eat, and sometimes when I just smell something bad or think something is going to taste bad.
I also have a very bad short-term memory and dizziness. I also can't keep my balance a lot. I've noticed some changes in my personality/thinking patterns. I keep thinking it's my bipolar disorder, though my psychiatrist is not sure I even have that. Anyway, I get very paranoid, I'm very obsessive and impulsive. I also have this thing with my speech where I sound like I'm dyslexic, but I've never had that until all these other things started happening. Oh, and I've had episodes of non-stop emotion/incessant crying and episodes of no emotion whatsoever.
The question I have is does any of this sound like something you're going through or symptoms?

I had been back from a holiday in Bulgaria for 3 weeks. I had started to go running again to lose a few pounds. I started to feel very sore and tired.
I fought the aches and pains with ibuprofen but it became worse. i got up for work on a friday morning and could barely move. When I dried my skin after the shower, it felt sore and tender. I went to work, dosed up on Paracetamol and could not stop sweating. I felt a little better as the day went on but noticed large spots on my head and back. I just assumed i was a bit 'run down'.
when I arrived home, i took my shirt off and discovered large blisters. I also noticed a few more had appeared on my head. PANIC!!! I went to the emergency walk-in centre and the NURSE(yes, nurse) said I had 'Folliculitis'(inflammation of my hair follicles). I went home and
within 2 hours my face and head felt like they were on fire. I didn't sleep well and the following morning I felt faint, nauseous and my face, head body, feet, ears, eyelids and nose were covered in blisters.
Another trip to hospital, this time to see a DOCTOR. He diagnosed Chicken pox(my 2nd dose in 18 years). He prescribed some penicillin in case the blisters become infected and nasty. They didn't, but I wasn't going to take the chance and took them anyway.
I rested, consumed a lot of liquid and very little food. I bathed tentatively in warm water and washed with 'HIBISCRUB'(the soap surgeons wash with). I also covered most of the blisters with calamine lotion and iodine.
I felt depressed, fed up and looked hideous. I am now into day 9. I have managed to shave and the effect of the blisters on my head and face have been immense. I won't be ready to go back to work for another 2 weeks, at least. The blisters have dried up and fallen off but I Am left with the scabs and reddening. Hopefully, i will not scar.
My advice is to rest, bath, drink plenty of liquid and get used to being bored. I thought I was fit and healthy and the chicken pox has hit me like a sledgehammer.
