A friend of mine is on Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Xanax, Ambien, and alcohol (wine, vodka). How dangerous is this in the short/long term?

View 1 Repliestaking ambien, xanax, and do n meth at the same time, is it going to kill me or is there a safe amount.
View 2 RepliesDoes anyone take lexapro, effexor and xanax? my new primary doctor has me going off effexor saying it is basically the same as lexapro.
View 3 RepliesI am now been abstinence from substance-abuse. For 2 years, I was mixing opiates/opioids and alcohol together, and sometimes I mixed other substances with those-including cocaine. Plus, I already have depression and anxiety. I have been to a treatment/health care center twice. First time of abstinence, for 2 weeks I couldn't speak right. I'd think of a sentence. I'd start to say the first few words-with a stutter-and then forget the sentence. I would have to start my think process over again a couple of times.
I continued using/mixing-if not more-and became dependent on opiates/opioids, and I had already been diagnosed an alcoholic. I became abstinence, and still am. It's been about over 2 months of no substance abuse. I developed unnecessary stops in my sentences while I speak. Like my brain can't catch up to my speech while I talk, causing me to have to stop for a very short time before continuing me sentences-this can happen a few times in one sentence. I still have to restart my thinking process over again because my mind goes blank while trying to speak. When there are things that distract me or someone speaks a little bit while I'm talking, I have to restart my thinking process all over again.
Some other things that are going on with me is that I often feel microscopic bugs crawling on me and biting me. I also sometimes become frightened because I sometimes see shadows in the corner of my eyes or behind me. While staying still, my leg or arm will sometimes randomly jerk-I'm not doing it, my body is doing it by itself. I also forget to breath, and I have to remind myself to breath by myself.
I want feedback of what you'd think these are symptoms would be of, and/or if this is more of a severe or minor thing. Drug-induced brain damage?
I’ve been having anxiety attacks for years now, and during this time I’ve been on several anti depressants - I’m currently on sertraline, but alongside them I’ve been also prescribed Xanax to help better control my anxiety. Since my old psychiatrist retired, I’ve got a new one and she thinks I’ve been on Xanax for too long and is now considering to switch me to Lorazepam.
I’m bit afraid that I might go into withdrawal from Xanax, so I’m wondering would it be OK if I continued to take Xanax for at least a while together with Lorazepam?
as a part of my anxiety treatment I’ve been taking Xanax for a few months now, together with Zoloft. However, despite the night dose of Xanax I’ve been having huge problems with sleeping, specifically with falling asleep. Despite how tired am I or when I take Xanax, I just can’t fall asleep.
Searching online I’ve stumbled upon information about Rozerem that should work precisely to help you fall asleep, and I’m definitely going to talk about this medication at my next psych appointment. What worries me though is - is it safe to use both Xanax and Rozerem at the same time?
Has anyone taken xanax xr for anxiety?? I definitely need this as I am very anxious and sometimes I can hardly get through the day because of my anxiety. I heard that you can just buy xanax xr on the web and that it is easy to come by. I do want to know if there are any side effects with xanax xr?
View 1 RepliesI’ve been on Lorazepam for my anxiety attacks for about half a year now and I’m also on fluoxetine. Lorazepam does help to ease my anxiety enough so I can function fairly normally from day to day, but I still do get occasional anxiety and panic attacks where even Lorazepam barely helps.
I’ve been reading a bit about this and came across info that Xanax is more effective than Lorazepam in fighting anxiety attacks, is this true?
I’ve been suffering from insomnia ever since I stopped taking Effexor and all natural ways to help me to get asleep didn’t really help much. I tried taking melatonin supplement, running and exercising and even herbal tea as a sleep remedy, but none of them really helped since I’m still managing to sleep only few hours before dawn.
Now i’m thinking to see my doctor to prescribe me some sleep aid and I was wondering what are your experiences with Valium and Xanax - which one works better as a sleep aid?
I am new to the idea of taking medication for my anxiety. I have suffered from anxiety since my teens but I thought that this is simply part of who I am, and that I could not do anything about it. I have since been in therapy, and I am now starting to consider the idea of medication. I have heard about xanax bars. Are they OK? Do xanax bars have any side effects?
View 1 RepliesI’ve been under a lot of emotional stress lately and this reflected mostly on my sleep patterns. So far I’ve tried using melatonin supplement before bedtime, but I can’t say it’s working since I’m still awake almost until dawn. My physician recommended I try this first, before medications like lorazepam or Xanax, but I can’t go on like this anymore and I’ll just have to try some of these meds.
From your experiences, which one of these, Lorazepam or Xanax is more effective in treating insomnia? Or is there some third option that is more effective than either of these?
I'm 19 years old.
My doctor prescribed me Xanax 0.25 mg, only for stressful situations, but I feel that 0.25mg it's having no effect at all.
This Sunday I'm going to camp with my friends and I feel very anxious when I'm waiting on lines and my legs shake because of that. So I want to try 0.5mg of Xanax to help my anxiety. But we use to drink beer all day, but not in an way to get severely drunk. Like 8 or 9 beers. So, If I take Xanax 0.5 mg in the morning, and during the day drink beer, will it be a bad interaction?
I don't like the feeling of being high/drunk so I only even take a quarter of my prescribed medication and even then only when my panic attacks are extremely severe, which means I will only take it 3-4 times a year max. Usually much less. However when I take it I NEED it or I would be in the hospital, and have many times. So here is my question- we had a friend in town and had a few beers today. I had about 5/6 beers but it was spanned out from 4pm-midnight so I was never really drunk since that's less than a beer an hour. Stopped drinking around midnight. I woke up at maybe 345 with the worst panic attack in years. Like, I woke my husband and tried to go to the hospital because my heart rate was around 200 and I couldn't breathe/ sweaty, all the typical panic attack symptoms... This lasted a very long time. He was finally able to calm me enough to get my heart rate down to about 120 but that's still high, I can't shake this anxious feeling. I know they always say not to mix alcohol and Xanax but in a situation like this, how long after drinking can I take a bit of it?

HGB and HCT juuuust under normal levels.
ESR - 11 after just getting off prednisone, 20 4 weeks later. range was 0-20

Total protein and albumin level- cusp of low, going down from medium normal range over 6 months
ALT-SGPT - just below normal

CCP- range is 0-19, I had 20 the first test, and 4 months later it was 35.
now here is my problem. my rheumatologist and PCP are ignoring the Ana. so they said I have Fibromyalgia. but from everything ive read 1:1280 is highly unlikely to be a healthy positive.
they won't diagnose RA because while I was positive for ccp is a "mild positive" and I didn't have inflammation showing in my blood work.
they've had me on celexa, Zoloft, amitriptyline, hydroxyzine, ambien, Cymbalta, gabapentin, flexeril, Percocet(after delivering) and every OTC they recommended. I've been to physical therapy, pelvic floor therapy, and chiropractic.
NOTHING HAS HELPED.
What am I missing? should I get a knew Rheum? any ideas whats going on really? any ideas on what can help?
I'm exhausted, physically, mentally, emotionally.
I'm currently taking lexapro for anxiety & depression and Omeprazole for Gerd and just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant. My doctor said the benefIt's outweigh the risks but I'm reading some really scary defects online and I'm wondering if anyone here has had good/bad experiences with them?
View 2 RepliesI have been on lexapro and latuda for over 2 years. I have been completely stable with my anxiety and depression.. my husband n I decided that we wanted to have another baby.. the doctor told me the best thing to do was switch to prozac.. I withdrew from latuda n lexapro within 2 weeks .. and started 30mgs of prozac.. I had every side effect known to the prozac where I had to be hospitalized for 5 days .. I went thru hell for 3 weeks hoping the prozac would kick in and the side effects would go away but that never did.. while in the hospital they stopped the prozac and put me back on latuda n lexapro .. I'm still having alot of anxiety .. nausea .. sleeping issues.. I just started the lexapro and latuda this monday and stopped prozac fully sunday.. does anyone know when this anxiety and depression will stabilize again.. I can't take the fear.. panic.. n anxiety anymore.. will I be normal again?
View 3 RepliesI have been on lexapro 20 mg for approximately 10 years and now my GI doctor has prescribed me amitriptyline 25mg for irritable bowel syndrome. I really don't feel right about this combination. I tried weaning myself off lexapro first 3/4 a pill for 7 days, then 1/2 pill for 7 days and the 1/4 pill but after one day on the 1/4 I was a complete mess. Had many side effects. I don't even feel I need antidepressant meds anymore. I got back on the full pill but now I feel like everything is surreal. I'm anxious and can't seem to function normally. What should I do. I go to my primary care dr. tomorrow and want to know what I should be asking her.
