Women's Health :: No Period In 1 Year

I'm 17, and I got my period when I was about 13. It would come fairly regularly, but I never really tracked it to the day. About 2 years ago my periods became further apart, every two or so months, but I never really payed attention. I now haven't had my period in over a year, and am beginning to get quite worried. I have been to a doctor (about 6months ago) and had blood and hormone tests, all of which came back fine. My doctor said to come back if I still hadn't had it in a year, which I plan to do as soon as I can get an appointment. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why it might be? I am a virgin, eat completely healthy, exercise every day, am at the middle of healthy weight range for my age/height, and have never been on any birth control. My doctor said he thought it unlikely to be cysts but I'm not ruling it out (just crossing my fingers that it's not). I haven't been too worried as its quite convenient with my very active lifestyle, but i realize I need to get it sorted out.

I had my period was June 2015. I have now taken my period for the first time since then, and it has been going on for 3 weeks and doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. I am 24 years old and have went to my doctor about this, but they said it was normal. Honestly I don't think it is normal but I might be wrong. Has anyone experienced anything like this and know what could be wrong? I do have Crohn's disease but I don't think it has anything to do with that.

I am 24 years old and have 2 daughters. After my second daughter I had a tubal ligation during my second c secsection and even then I only bled for about 2 weeks right when I had her. I haven't had a period since then and she will be 2 in Feb 2016. I do experience mood swings and bloating, even back pain like I had when I was menstrual. Even with diet change I cannot lose weight. I had my thyroid checked, even got tested for diabetes and the doctors don't know anything except the absence of my period isn't normal. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do?

My name is Marielle and I am a sixteen year old female. I started birth control about two years ago due to severe cramps and stopped after about one year when they ended. Since that year, I have not had cramps or my period. I cannot remember if I stopped menstruating while weaning off of my daily birth control pill (or forgetting to take more like), but I have become somewhat worried. I have not consulted a doctor about this yet, but plan to soon. However, if anyone could help me to see if I should be more worried or stop worrying, that would be great. I am very nervous about there being something wrong and a possibility of me becoming sterile. Although this may seem a bit out of proportion, it is still a very present and scary nagging thought in my head.

My 16 year old daughter still hasn't got her periods. At first the DR's kept telling me she was delayed because she has crohn's disease but they finally agreed to do further testing.
Yesterday she went for an ultrasound to check her ovaries but they couldn't find a uterus. He told me not to panic as sometimes the uterus is retroverted and they can't see it on the ultrasound. Shes to have an MRI soon.
I'm just wondering if she has a retroverted uterus, wouldn't they be able to see some of it on the ultrasound?

I started my period early and it was normal it ended last Saturday and then what I had thought was it had came back the following Tuesday but it is just spotting and it is bright red what could be going on?

I used to get severe period pains as a teen and then into my late teens they settled however I could never use tampons.I was doing great until I had my tubal ligation nearly 7years ago.my periods slowly became heavier and sometimes I am in agony but it might be a lighter period.My vagina and entire genital area feels like it is raw and being shredded. It's painful to sit to stand or do anything.I also get severe back pain and pain around my c section site.I don't bleed a lot between periods but its generally old brown blood. I don't have any std's and I do not want an implant in my uterus. I know something is wrong and I have approached both my doctor and nurse and I have been told there is nothing that can be done.I am in chronic pain and every period makes it worse. I can't have a uterine infection because I have just been on so many antibiotics, all 3 of my children arrived via c section but I was ol until I had the ligation.please please please help me pain medication ibuprofen,voltaren,paracetamol none of it helps even taking it every 4 hours.please help me the pain is unbearable.

I was quite late to start my periods- 16 and they lasted for roughly a year or so very irregular. They went away to costa rica and by the time i returned about 3 months later and i had turned 17 my periods had stopped. I haven't had my periods since, i have however been to the doctors several times, they have taken my blood and seem to have found no symptoms- they just told me they will return soon. One said it was because i was too thin, i am quite slim but no more than some of my friends and i eat a lot. It took quite a bit of effort but recently gained a little weight- i travel quite a bit (asia, south and central America, af) and was wondering if it was possible i have some kind of parasite. I'm 19 almost 20- there must be something up.

I recently went to my doctor because pretty much since I started my period at 14, I've experience really bad cramps. The issue however is not that, my problem is that throughout the month regardless if I am due or not I get period cramps, or what I can only explain as "period cramps" as that is the closest thing it feels like, its defiantly within that region. I was tested for any STD's or ovarian cancer which all came back clear and then sent to hospital for an ultra sound to see if I had ovarian cysts or anything like that, again it all came back clear. I've had regular smear tests as well and I've never had any irregularities. So now I'm really confused and although I guess relieved that its none of the above, I'm now left pretty anxious and confused as I still have no idea what is happening. I've a pretty high pain threshold but these are really uncomfortable and sore and I cant just ignore the issue. I don't get discharge, blood or anything, just a sudden shooting pain in that area and it lasts a couple of seconds, and then goes. It can happen at anytime of the month and I'm really scared at what it is. Anyone have any ideas or experienced the same thing? I just want to put a name to its scary face that i have created!

I had the Nexplanon 3 year birth control implant put in February of 2013 when i was 16 years old. Up until early-mid June, I had not had any periods. Now, I have had my period on and off for almost an entire month. It is mostly spotting but enough to require the use of tampons and refrain from sexual activity. I have been pretty emotional lately and was up last night with bad cramps. Nothing in my daily schedule or eating habits has changed therefore I do not understand what could be causing this. ALSO, I have been experiencing extreme fatigue. Does anyone have ideas as to why this is occurring? I would hate to have the implant removed because this is the first time it has given me problems so far and I'm not even sure it is the cause.
*I have had the same boyfriend for 10 months so i do not think STD's would be of any relevance*

My 7 yr old has slowed drastically on growth. Since August 2012 he hasn't grown quiet 2 inches, no weight gain, even his foot is the same size!!!! He used to be in the top percentile a has has now dropped to 5th in height and 10th in weight. He's 7 yr 3 mo. 45" and 44 lb. he does get sick A LOT!! He's been in and out of hospital and has Severe Reflux for which he takes meds.

Three weeks ago, to my great surprise, I started to bleed after one year. The 2-3 weeks preceding this, my breasts were so sore, I was bloated and I has the typical "stringy" discharge that I used to get before my period. I was really not expecting another period but the bleeding was heavy and lasted for just over a week.
I saw my doctor a few days ago and she that she is obliged to send me for an ultrasound and possible biopsy if the lining looks thick. She said she is not worried but I am freaking out.
Can anyone share a similar experience? I read on one website that it is actually possible to ovulate and have a period after you stop menstruating for a year. I have not had any spotting - just this one "period". Of course, everything I have read says how abnormal it is to bleed after menopause and now I'm scared that there is something serious going on. My ultrasound is booked for two days from now.

Okay so im 14, virgin and everything. I noticed that right after my period ended my vagina still smelled like i was still on my period. Its been smelling for about a week now and everyday the smell is different. At first it smelled like period blood but now it smells different, worse. It doesn't really smell fishy it smells like something died i swear. I've been making sure i clean it properly and everything but it won't go away. It seems like whenever my legs are open a tiny bit you can smell it. Im worried other people can smell it, and its embarrassing. My vagina isn't red or itchy, it just smells. My discharge is normal and doesn't smell. Im freaking out, i have a doctors appointment soon but my mom refuses to leave the room and if i tell her she'll think that i have an STD. What do i do? Or what is it?

I had a tubal ligation in July after my third child was born (c-section). I bled the normal amount afterwards, about 6 weeks. Then I finally, got my first real period on October 27th, it lasted until December 13th, it came back on December 23rd and it still hasn't stopped, I made an appointment with my gynecologist for the 19th. It's a pretty heavy flow, I have to change my pad and tampon every 3 hours, I can go 6 at night. I'm not anemic, I had my iron checked at the health department when I went for my recertification. It's been 9 weeks of cramping, back aches, and bloating, I'm just really done at this point. I would like someone's opinion on this, has anyone ever had this happen to them? Is it just a hormone imbalance? Does it seem concerning? I don't want to go to my appointment completely oblivious as to what it might be.

I turned 13 a while ago and around early last month I had the brown stuff in my undies. I told mum and she explained what it was and told me to mark the calendar 28 days after I first had the brown stuff. Well the 28 day mark has long gone and no period, nothing has happened. I have only ever gotten a little clear discharge but I have always had that.

I'm 13 there's this brown stuff in my underwear in the don't know what it is usually it's clear then turns yellowish sometimes it's like a clear booger then turns yellowish and dry.I have never had a period its been like this for 3 days now, it's clean and wash it down there but it still keeps coming, no its not poop I smelled it I need a detailed explanation of what's going on. one more question does every woman smell clean down there, ....is it abnormal if she does not smell clean??mine smells weird ever since 3 years ago it started smelling funny... idk y i always washed and clean it everyday is it abnormally to smell that way if so how do I make it smells clean ?
