I'm a woman who normally has a healthy, strong sex-drive. But I couldn't help from noticing that my sex-drive/lustiness/libido seems to have substantially diminished in the last month or two. On some occasions, instead of enjoying a sexual moment and being completely excited and consumed, I've actually found my mind wandering, feeling a bit bored and not excited. I used to get very aroused when my nipples were touched, but in the past month my nipples now don't seem to have any sensitivity. When they're touched, I no longer feel feelings of arousal. Sex used to be something I used to really look forward to, but now I don't seem to get very lusty and excited. It bothers me that these feelings and sex which used to bring me so much enjoyment and pleasure in my life seems to be gone.

I asked my doctor to prescribe me Anti-androgen (Provera) to stop libido, but the doctor refused both the psychiatrist and the GP. She told me that there are side effects including major breast growth and loss of muscles, and she also told me that it's against their legislation to prescribe anti-androgen for reasons no other than prostate cancer treatment.
So i decided that i will buy these drugs from online, but they all failed me because they were no other than remedies, and not actual drugs. I think the only option for me is to tell the doctor "I want to become a girl, and that i need anti-androgen and estrogen to grow feminine characteristics to satisfy my depression" or "I nearly rapped a girl out there twice and need anti-androgen or any other luteinizing hormones to kill my libido, lest i end up in jail". I don't want to go to the doctor and ask like i did before saying that i want drugs to kill off libido for religious reasons. Besides, Islam prohibits masterbation. And masterbation is inevitable considering the amount of testosterone in a 21 year old's body.
Is there anybody out there who has successfully been able to convince their doctor to give them drugs to suppress their libido? If yes then please leave a comment i want to know how. It's driving me insane. I need drugs NOW!

My gf went to have her Mirena replaced by a new on in December 2014. She had no issues during the first one. The first one had grown stuck and it was a VERY painful experience to remove it.
After having the new one fitted, its been more than a year now where she has ZERO interest in sex. Before that she was normally the one initiating it at least once a day! Now we've barely had any sex in a year.
So after much convincing and offering to pay for a follow up from my side, she went back to the OBGYN in September. He did a bunch of tests and checks and says everything is normal, the Mirena can't possibly cause it. I just have a hard time believing its not the Mirena as the problems started exactly when the new one was fitted.
For the sake of completeness I should mention that during her checkup the OB GYN picked up that she has high blood pressure and cholesterol. He referred the results to her GP who now has her on medication and the matter seems to be under control, except that she's fainted twice in 4 months from low BP.
Should we spend the money on seeing another OBGYN for a second opinion, or is the first guy correct that it can't possibly be that? My idea is to remove the damn thing and see what happens for a few months, if things do improve I will consider getting a vasectomy. Opinions?

I'm almost 42 and have not been feeling right great for a few months. I'm on the pill so can't say much about periods but waking up in night feeling roasting but my skin is cold except for face. Worst thing is mood swings... I feel irritable all the time. At night when I can't sleep and dog snoring for example drives me crazy. Bloated too which feels awful. And digestive issues. Also feel quite anxious which is odd because I haven't felt like that before and loss of libido.

I am 47 ( just turned) and believe I am in perimenopause. My mom went through menopause in her early 40's with little to no symptoms ( that she can remember anyway lol).
I have the anxiety, depression, loss of libido, interrupted sleep and ever changing periods - sometimes light, sometimes heavy etc. I skipped my first one last month.
My spotting seems to be getting worse, it is usually brownish and occurs in the last half of my cycle. This month there was a bit of red spotting and I usually spot after sex during the last half of my cycle.
I went to the doctor and she has scheduled an ultrasound and of course I have read everything on the internet and am getting scared to death.

I am having some troubles since a while and I don't know what's happening, I am a 35 year old male and these are the symptoms I got:
- Loss of sex drive/desire and erectile dysfunctioning(I tried some pills like Cialis or viagra, it does help but the sex drive is not there all the time)
- Pain in my left lower back when sitting which irradiates in the thigh, testicles and groin
- Kind of throbbing pain around the coccyx (Prostate?)
- Last week and while defecating, I pushed a bit and I got a severe pain in my lower abdomen. I was sweating and felt very bad for about 10mn
- Numbness or slight loss of sensation in my hands and feet (More in the right side)
- Strange sensation in the rear of my neck or the low back of my skull
- Kind of lost interest in everything in life and I feel depressed and tired all the time also with a permanent slight headache.
I checked my PSA and got a cystoscopy 2 or three years ago but nothing was revealed. I also got a Varicocele embolization because we thought that was the reason of this uncomfort but it is even worst now.

Anyone recommend a supplement to help me calm down and relax, as I'm withdrawing from Venlafaxine and I'm really having a difficult few days!

I've been on it for years and it's been brilliant. I was tired all the time and it gave me new energy.
The downside is that if you miss a couple of doses the withdrawal side-effects are quite horrendous. Venlafaxine XL (time released ones) are gentler with the side effects than the ordinary ones.
They've definitely worked for me.

I can't be alone in this. I was terrified the opposite would happen but it's crazy I'm now horny all the time. It's actually amusing and I guess it's not a bad thing. I'm 6 weeks in now and I'm not sure sertraline has done much else for me. Life is still very much a struggle. My doctor says I should persist still (I didn't tell him about this side effect) I'm not convinced it's working for me though. Plus I'm single so it's not exactly making life more exciting anyway! I have to laugh - otherwise I'll probably cry!

I am a 71 year old male. About 14 years ago, I had a high rating on a PSA test, which lead to a twelve needle biopsy. The results were rated as a Gleason 8 tumor. My urologist said the type of prostate cancer I had was very aggressive and that we needed to take some action. At that time, I was told my options were radiation and/or surgery. Prostate cancer had occurred in both of my Grandfathers. My father had not come back from WWII so I had no information on him. However, I had done some research into what I would do if prostate cancer visited me. I opted for a radical prostatectomy. Both my urologist and the pathologist believed that the surgery got all the cancer, and saw no value in radiation. As it turned out, I have never had much of anything to speak of on any subsequent PSA tests. Oh joy and rapture. I am alive, and doing well with one exception. Prior to the cancer diagnosis, my wife and I had a very active sex life. We had been married for over 25 years and had engaged in some form of sex on an average of twenty or so times a month. When my wife learned of my cancer, she asked for a divorce. Following the surgery, I was impotent and of course could no longer ejaculate. On the advice of a crusty older nurse, God Bless her, I learned that I could masturbate to a sort of semi erection and achieve an orgasm. However I entered a period of depression and when I finally found my way out of it, I could no longer achieve an orgasm. Following a discussion with my urologist, I tried some injections directly into the penis that was supposed to result in an erection, but it was not satisfactory, and the whole idea of sticking a needle into my penis was not very appealing. My doctor then recommended an Osbon penis pump which cost a couple of hundred dollars. When I tried the pump, it sucked my scrotum into the pump cylinder and slammed a testicle into the pump cylinder. It hurt so bad I threw up. The pricey Osbon pump ended up in the garbage. So here I am. My libido has always been very high and seems to be getting higher as I age. I am still very attracted to women and, have no interest in a sexual relationship with men. I don't really care for the company of men all that much and never have. Between the internet and satellite TV, I am bombarded with pornography. While I do watch a fair amount of porn and sexually explicit shows on TV, it does nothing to assuage my libido. I hate sleeping alone, and I hate the notion of nothing but platonic relationships with women. Over the years I learned how to do a satisfactory job of performing oral sex, however, even the ladies of my age still want sexual intercourse in their lives and to be honest, I would not be interested in a women who did not want sex. I have been so lonely for female sexual companionship that I have met with several prostitutes, and it is nice to be able to touch and talk with an attractive nude woman, but then I have to go back to my empty lonely place. Is there any way that I could reestablish the ability to have orgasms? Does anyone have an ideas or information as to how I could achieve an erection and failing that, how do I shutdown my libido?

have been on Pregabalin and Sertraline for a combined issue of rapid cycling bipolar and Acute anxiety disorder. Whilst The meds keep things under control 60 per cent of the time, ( another story ) it is starting to get in the way of my sex life.
Without being crass, I'm sure a lot of men would love to be able to have sex for hours and not copulate, and when it first started I was of the same opinion , however, when you meet someone you really like and want to share intimate times with I'm finding this is becoming a problem.

I'm a 25 yr old female, married for over a year, and my husband and I have little to no sex life. My heart is breaking because i need to find answers..
I learned to masturbate when i was 12 years old, over the years i've had to think of more and more erotic fantasies or else I can't seem to achieve orgasm. Stimulation isn't enough, and over the years i have rubbed pretty hard. I'm really worried that i may have desensitized my clitoris.
The very first time my husband used a vibrator on my clit it was the most amazing thing i've ever felt... but with more use it's harder and harder to find the right spot, and the batteries have to be FRESH.
Before we got married, i had never had actual intercourse, and my fiance and i would get pretty hot n heavy with petting or whatever. but now that we're married i have a VERY hard time getting aroused around him! I don't like having my nipples touched, we don't do oral because we're both grossed out by it, and i get grossed out by french kissing.
I have a hard time masturbating in front of my husband, i don't know why, i think that i get shy.. and another thing is that whenever my husband and i try to have a kissing session i start to giggle uncontrollably but i don't get aroused.
again, my heart is breaking because we don't have a normal sex life.. i'm desperate for answers... i waited to have sex until marriage and sometimes it feels like it wasn't even worth it.
EDIT: I also forgot to mention that when i do orgasm there's little to no lubrication created, and sexual intercourse hurts and doesn't feel good. I think that part of my arousal problem is the fact that I know that sex isn't going to feel good
