Also, for the record, I am asking this question out of pure curiosity on my own part (at least for the time being).

View 2 RepliesAs much as I have read about this procedure, I feel somewhat prepared going into my consult visit with the Dr.
I am wondering if there were any questions/discussions anyone feels they should have asked BEFORE the procedure?
It's always film time when I crave rubbish and last night I craved and had an entire bag of foam sweets. I know they are ok fat wise but still full of kals and sugar.
I just want to do well with this and have really let myself down.
Was prescribed Trimethoprim for a UTI. 7 days into a 28 day course I have developed an horrendous skin rash over the entire body. Some are small blisters which are quite sore. Having not visited a doctor's surgery for three years and having never taken antibiotics before this is not a good introduction to modern medicine.....I will have to on the verge of death before I visit a GP again....
View 2 RepliesThe best way about a vasectomy is to NOT have one. Anyone who thinks that they have got away without problems just can not say anything as PVPS can come on at any time until we die I know a friend who is in his mid-seventies and has more pain than in the whole of his life.
View 4 RepliesI was healthy and happy then got a headache so bad that 6 migraine excedrin did not touch it. Went to bed and woke up in middle of night with my entire left side numb and tingling.
Went to er they told us i had a bad migraine. Over the last month symptoms have worsen. Pain in left back of head hurts all the time, left side is pain, and spells of dizziness.
Two mri later, going for a third, clean blood work, eeg, many trips to er and no answer
After talking to an aunt found out she has meniere's-disease so we are going to a ent next.
Hi I am looking for help I have just had my second vasectomy done just 2 weeks ago due to a failed vasectomy the first time. I have 2 large lumps 1 at the incision site and 1 and the opposite end of the incision and they are both causing me a lot of pain which runs down my leg I have seen my doctor but has told me to give it a couple of months but I didn't get any pain like this the first time. Can a second vasectomy increase any chances of side effects or chronic pain.
View 1 RepliesMy sister is 60 years old and is experiencing amounts of blood in her stool lately . She suspects that it is internal hemorrhoids (she had similar condition approx. 3 years ago.) She went to the doctor who examined her and told her that she could not feel any internal hemorrhoids but gave her suppositories and told her to return in two weeks time for another look. My sister has no other symptoms, no pain except for some itching after she goes to poop and no changes in bowel habits, appetite etc. My question is therefore, is it possible for someone to have internal hemorrhoids that a doctor cannot feel?
View 1 RepliesI was wondering how long you all suffered before the doctors referred you. To a specialist or for surgery?
I've been suffering with an external prolapsed hemorrhoid for two weeks now. I'm in agony all day and the pain wakes me up at night.
due to other health conditions i need my sleep and no stress as it makes it worse. So i feel at the minute that i can't cope.
i've been to the doctor three times but they said they wouldn't even consider the next option until it's been "months and months"
i've been given anusol cream and suppository.
Hi, I'm a 24 year old and I am getting circumcised on the 8th of October. I've been having some white bumps under my penis and they worry me a lot and make me wonder if they doctor will do the operation. Can you please advise me what to do on this matter.
View 1 RepliesIs anybody else afraid of going to the doctor? Adding up my medical visits in 2016, I've had eleven appointments, including testing and lab work, plus my surgery last month. Today, I have to see my GI Doctor and will have a colonoscopy at the end of June. There will not have been a single month in the first six months of this year that I haven't seen a doctor. I feel overwhelmed by it. I always expect the worst now, having gone through so much in a short period of time. I have started exercising again and am working gradually on getting in better shape and wish that would help the anxiety some. I dread seeing doctors now.

View 1 RepliesCan I ask what symptoms other people have experienced before being diagnosed with Celiacs?? I am concerned I may have celiacs, I am due to see a doctor next week to discuss. I don't have all the symptoms but have had bloating, chronic constipation, (had issues with both for years) flaky scalp (not severe) and a skin condition on my feet. My doctor told me this was eczema two years ago but it can flare up quite extreme, soare, itchy, fluid filled blisters, flaky skin, red, rashy when at its worst. But it tends to come and go? Does anyone else suffer from the same?
View 1 RepliesIm 7 1/2 months pregnant and i have a severe cold which the doctor refuses to treat. You can imagine how miserable i am. Apparently i'm a selfish b**** because i didn't cook my husband a 5 star meal today. He has not once asked if there was anything he could do to make me less miserable. Anyone else's husband a complete douche bag even though you are carrying their child?
View 4 RepliesAre hormone replacement therapy doctors are doing the job of an endocrinologist, or is it the same, or is there an advantage of one or the other?
Since year 2000, at the age of 50, doctors and blood tests I have told me I have low testosterone?
(at the time I went to an Internal Medicine doctor for low energy and exhaustion and he said testosterone was below 200)
I am looking into finding a doctor that will prescribe something more effective than a 150 mg testosterone cypionate injection 1 x each 2 weeks, that I get from a conservative family MD.
I recently looked into getting help through the Internet for hormone replacement therapy.
At this point, I am not sure what to do.
Does anyone have good solid advise, not strongly influenced by money profit?
I have read some about the side effects, however, can anyone advise me or comment on any of the following medicines recommended for me by the online HRT clinic doctor?
Here is the list:
150mg testosterone cypionate 1 x a week
Anastrozole 0.5 po 2x/week
HCG 500 IU SQ 2x/week
Sermorelin Forte 18mg for GH deficiency
DHEA 5mg
Fish oil 3,000mg
vitamin D3 5,000IU/day with vitamin K2 45 mcg take with fatty healthy food.
This online HRT Clinic cannot use medical insurance, because of the prescriptions.
I have not found any negative feedback on this Clinic, as I have with some others.
At this time, unless something else comes up, I am going to get an appointment with an Endocrinologist.
However, my concern is that doctors will not prescribe medicines and doses of medicines, (medicines that will work for me) that are not approved by the FDA and that are not covered by insurance companies.
Now, I feel exploited by the online HRT MD's, because of the costs, and cut short by regular MD's, because of the FDA laws and the insurance companies.
My other position is (the position some are counting on) to pay whatever it takes to feel better, and I will if I cannot find another solution. I want to increase the quality of life for myself and others, without anymore physical suffering/mistakes, and without anymore financial suffering/mistakes.
I would like to share with the community that unless your Bartholin cyst is a real problem in your life, don't do it. From my own experience, and from what I have read from others on forums and sites, it seems pretty safe to say that many women who have had the surgery regret it. Ladies, it is not worth the pain. Many doctors completely play down the surgery and pass it off as being minor with little pain, fast recovery.
Here is my story: I had a small to med. size cyst, not bothersome at all..it was just there. I went to my yearly exam and the doc said, let's remove that. He explained that is was a simple, common surgery. So, I went in to remove it , expecting to be able to work the next day (ha!). I was given some shots of anesthesia, and then some more, during the surgery I felt pain...was administered more shots. I became completely nervous and entered panic, pleading for something to calm me down. Well, I went through it and I noticed there was a lot of blood and the doctor asked the nurse to help me up, the doctor left the room and I was bleeding so much, like all over the place. To make a long story short, the doctor found my out in the hospital hall and rushed me into surgery again (this time they put my ass to sleep). Come to find out, there was a vein behind the cyst that got cut during the surgery. Later on through research I discovered that this could cause the need for a blood transfusion! Thank goodness I didn't. I completely regret the surgery. It's been 8 days and I still can't drive or sit with both cheeks down in a chair, I'm still walking funny and my vagina looks weird. I love to run and swim and I would NEVER EVER have done this if I had known it was this painful and debilitating. So girls, unless it is a complete necessity and it is totally ruining your life, don't do it. And for those of you who do do it, demand an ultrasound to make sure there aren't any veins behind it, its your right. A lot of veins run through this area and if the doc cuts a vein, its a bad surprise and there is a chance you would need a blood transfusion if you loose too much blood and the doctor isn't prepared. Oh, and I was prescribed tylenol with codeine for the pain every 12 hours...I ended up in the emergency room the next day so they could give me something much stronger. Today, day 8 I didn't have to take any pain meds, but I still can't work/drive/sit normal/walk normal.
how do you remove protein from urine, I got it from using certain kind of chemo.
View 1 RepliesI had an IUD paragard inserted in the16th of this month and I was feeling terrible " back pain dizziness blurry visions ..." So I tried to remove it myself and I hurt myself I think, and when I told my husband he took me to the ER and they remove it, it was no pain at all, two days after that I had sex and my husband was kinda ruff and when I went to the bathroom I found blood and I'm still bleeding sense.
Is my uterus hurt or had scars and why? Did I have sex too early?
I just want to know why I'm bleeding?
