I have seen a lot of women who say they have problems ttc after taking depo, for those women can you tell me how your bodies reacted while on it? Did your body take depo well or did you have a lot on complications with it?
View 1 RepliesI took depo for about 2 years in high school, (without breaks) and it was a full year before I got a period again. It's been a total of 22 months since I stopped taking depo and now I'm trying to conceive with my fiancé. I miscarried a month ago at 14 weeks.
When I consulted my doctor she told me firmly that YES. IT IS BECAUSE OF DEPO. going on it for long periods of time can cause infertility and I was told that I will not be able to carry a pregnancy to term for anywhere from 1-5 years- if at all. I've also been told to stay if any other birth control as that can increase my chances of not being able to give birth.
Has anyone else had similar events happen to them?
I come off depo in January this year i've just got my first proper period am I back to normal? is my fertility back? i've had bleeds before now but I know this is my first proper period raging pmt and cramps I actually feel sorry for my partner he can't do nothing right.

View 6 RepliesWe are trying to conceive baby number 4 i had my implanon removed on the 26th of April, I had a period a week before it was removed then I had another period on the 17t of may exactly 28 days since my last period, that was very very light and only lasted 2 day, I was due for another Period on the 14th of june and it still hasn't arrived I've done tests and im not pregnant, Is it normal to have a 28 day cycle then have an irregular cycles? This is all new to me in the 11 yrs i've been having periods i've ALWAYS been regular 28 day cycles.

I have one blocked tube ( my right one ) which my doctor thinks is due to having a ruptured appendix. I have been to fertility clinic today and the doc has put me on the waiting list for a lap to remove the right blocked tube. I am not sure how this will help? I have never fallen pregnant and I have been trying for 3 years ? Why would removing the blocked tube help? I cannot receive IVF as my partner already has a child with his ex, so apparently that means i'm not entitled. I really need some answers i'm really pulling my hair out and I am so frustrated.

Been feeling a little under the weather so decided to take a hpt today. The result was a faint line. Will try testing again in a couple more days. Got the result in less than a minute!
View 3 RepliesI had an abortion when i was 21 years old now that i am 25 i am really to have a baby. My husband and i have been trying now for close to 14 months. I'm really concerned because before my abortion my periods were like clockwork, you could set your watch by them. After my abortion my periods were no longer normal. They were every 33 days one month 14 days apart the next, sometimes not at all. sometimes twice in one month. Every doctor that i've spoke with tells me "it will take sometime for your cycle to get back to normal" How long will it actually take? its been over two years now and my periods are still like this. I have even tried taking birth control pills to help regulate my cycles and nothing seems to help. Which is making it more difficult to conceive because i have no idea when im ovulating, or if i am even ovulating. I have even tried charting my BBT and buying a fertility monitor and Nothing seems to help at all. My husband has even had fertility exams and tests and they are all NORMAL?
