I have pcos. I am taking all these vitamins. Are there any more tricks in the bag my husband and I should know before we start on this adventure. Do people generally get pregnant fairly easy with pcos? Ugh. Its the waiting that is going to kill me. Words of encouragement?

I suffer from PCOS and am trying for a baby. I have had no period for 3 months now (last period Dec 2013) and my GP conducted urine test which was negative. However I am suffering from a few symptoms of pregnancy. I am passing urine a lot more than usual, feeling hungry sooner, nausea etc though I have not had any morning sickness. I also suffering cramps in my stomach and my stomach does seem bigger, which my husband has also commented on.
I also have a little white/brown discharge whilst passing urine, although i have not had to use any pads.
Am i pregnant and what can I ask my GP to do?

My wife and I have been trying to conceive for a long time using a known sperm donor. I have PCOS and very rarely ovulate. I am currently taking 100mg clomid (50mg didn't bring on ovulation). I have read reports that metformin can help with ovulation. Would a doctor prescribe that if I requested it and stated my reasons? I desperately want to be ovulating to give us a chance a conceiving, any advice on how to increase the chances of ovulation and pregnancy would be much appreciated.

I've got a cyst on my left ovary which is causing me so much pain spreading to the right lower abdomen and lower back too. My nights have been help for at least a month as the pain gets worse at night. My last period was on the 25th of March and I've been given clomid and tamoxifen to used CD5-9 which I haven't been able to use since my period hasn't come. Now I can't even use the drugs if I get a period because of the cyst. In serious pain right now and don't know what to do to get rid of the pain, get a period, ovulate and try to take in again.

I stopped taking Seasonique January 1, 2012. I have had extremely irregular periods since then, but they were always regular before I started taking birth control pills in 2009. I had one in January, one in March, one in June, and none since.. My husband and I are ready to have a baby. I know they say that it may take up to a year for your periods to regulate after stopping birth control pills, but I don't feel like I have even started to regulate a little bit. I have been to my family doctor several times. This last time they mentioned potentially having PCOS. I have some (but not all) symptoms of this. I am on the heavy side, and they said lose weight. I have been eating a low-carb diet for the past 3 and a half weeks, and I've lost 17.5 pounds. (I'm working towards more, but I'm trying to be very healthy about it in case I should get pregnant and not be aware of it.) The doctor has checked my thyroid previously, and it was fine. They said if we aren't pregnant by the end of this year, they will refer me to a specialist. The NP I saw the last time mentioned potentially using Clomid to assist. I have googled and read and googled and read, and I just don't know what to do or think. It's very difficult to be patient, as I am sure you all know, but I'm trying very hard.

Im 37 and have been experiencing almost every symptom of perimenopause. The worst ones being, anxiety, insomnia, night sweats, hot flushes, periods areso unpredictable. I have suffered with pcos but know how that affects my periods etc. My periods have never been this far apart.... Ever! They have also become lighter and shorter in duration. I have mood swings constantly and feel irritable but this could be due to the sleep deprivation. I have been backwards and forwards to my gp. He did some blood tests on my hormones which have came back within normal range.......am I right in saying that blood tests are normal during perimenopause??
My mum seems to think i'm heading for the menopause as she got similar symptoms, she was only 39 when her periods completely stopped.
I really don't know where to go from here. Cant seem to convince the drs this is hormones

Should I continue taking metformin during pregnancy?

I've recently been diagnoses with PCOS after not having periods for 18 months and the only help I received was being told to lose weight, they didn't even worry about the fact I've not had a period for a year and a half (which worried me when before that I had a period every 28-30 days)
Me and my partner TTC on 17th June (after having a period and my cervix and mucus indicating ovulation) and I took a pregnancy test today (I know it's early but I am so impatient) and it came back negative. But I've been feeling all the symptoms of pregnancy, sickness, headaches, cramping, back pain, areolas darkening, breast tenderness, insomnia (I just can't seem to get comfortable) and I just know something doesn't feel normal as I know my body well.
I just wanted to know what I should do, I worry that if I am pregnant my hormone levels might cause a miscarriage as they only said my testosterone levels were high but didn't tell me how high or if it could cause a difficult pregnancy.
Should I just wait as see if I get a BFP or should I go to the doctors and ask for a blood test.

I am waiting for results to find out if I am pregnant for the first time since finding out I have pcos but one thing is confusing me and always has done, pcos causes your hormonal levels to become imbalanced and making the male hormones become too high so would this not mask the actual levels in your body for tests to pick up??? Because the way I see it and no one will explain it to me, surely it would have to elevate to become "normal" and then have to go even higher before a test will pick up the levels? If someone could answer this for me I would be so grateful as I have wondered this for literally years and now I have loads of symptoms including sickness, a 'pressure' just above my knicker line, constantly hungry (not like me at all!!), extremely emotional and easily start crying (again very much not like me, usually takes a lot to make me cry. ...usually) and always extremely tired. Have been to socs and she said it sounds like I am pregnant even saying the sleepiness was the clincher but I am worried about the test results.

37 with pcos and just done a pregnancy test which came up positive. my periods have always been irregular so no idea how far i am. i am worried now that all is well with the baby. i had ivf with my twins so this is a total shock. can you get a false reading? my last period was around the end of Nov 13 but that would be i was quite far on and i have only been having symptoms for the past month i would say hence the reason i have taken a test.

I was diagnosed with pcos about a year ago. My periods had just stopped and I hadn't had one for about a year and a half, they we're always irregular but had never just stopped before . I don't think I have it really bad, (I don't know really), but ever since I was diagnosed I've noticed my weight just escalate and growing more hair in odd places along with the no periods and loads of gross spots on my chin constantly! . I'm 29, 5'7 and weigh 12 stone, which is literally the heaviest I have ever been. Trying to loose weight has been a struggle, so went to the docs and she started me on metformin. Been on it for 2 months now. It seems I am loosing weight slowly but still no periods.
Me and my partner have been together for 7 years now, but I'm still not ready to have a baby, but I'm scared I'm not taking my pcos seriously enough and should get on it incase it never happens?! . I do smoke too which is obviously something I have to conquer before we start trying. Is age 33-34 too late to start trying if you've got pcos?
Also when I was diagnosed I realised I must of had it for years because I had quite a lot of unprotected sex in my teens (bad, I know) and never got pregnant.

So, to being, I'm 25. I've had seven miscarriages so far and I really don't want to lose this one. I've finally found a stable enough relationship with my fiancee who has been super supportive through all of this. Also, I have an advanced case of PCOS that causes massive hair growth on my face and other parts of my body, so I have an overproduction of testosterone.
About a week or so ago, I found out I was 3 weeks pregnant. I had my usual period but then the bleeding wasn't stopping so I called my doctor, they asked me to take a pregnancy test, it came out positive. They had me follow up with another one the following day and it too was positive. They had me come in and do blood draws.
The first draw returned HCG levels of 103. That was Wednesday of last week. On Friday last week, I went in for another blood draw and the HCG level was at 150. So it is increasing, but I am still bleeding. It's not the normal implantation blood which is darker in color, it's a brighter red like a period.
Sometimes it's heavier than others on some days and other days it's lighter. Even throughout the day it changes how heavy or light it is. I'm so confused and it's causing me undue stress which is not good for the baby.
I've only had one day where there was tissue passed and that scared the ever living daylights out of me. I really want this baby and I'm trying everything I can to keep it. I've been taking prenatal vitamins every morning, I quit drinking caffeinated drinks all together, I've been drinking more water, eating more fruit everything you're supposed to do to help the baby grow strong.
The doctors tell me not to worry but because of my past history, I can't help but. I'm going in for another blood draw today and I'm worried as all hell that it's going to come back even lower and that they will tell me I'm going to lose this baby.
Anyone else experience anything like this where the bleeding increases and decreases throughout the day?

I was on the pill for 17 years and I came of it February 2012 because my partner and I are trying for a baby. I've had no periods at all since then. It's been nearly 2 years and still no period! I'm 7 stone 12 pounds, fit and healthy with no family history problems in the reproductive area.
I get terrible spots on my chin and my fertility tests are good. Why haven't I had a period after all this time? I'm getting worried now. I saw a Gynecologist in 2012 and had all the tests etc which came back great. In 2013 I took Clomid and still nothing. I have a very unsympathetic doctor. Can anyone help as to what I should do next? Is anyone in my situation?

Has anyone else gotten pregnant after a tubal ligation and uterine ablation? I've my tubes tied twice (tied, cut and burned first time; burned the second time) and had the Novasure procedure done but I am pregnant in my tube again. The dr said he couldn't see why I got pregnant after the first tubal ligation so I really don't know why its happened again after the second. He says my only option is a hysterectomy but I'm only 27 and this seems awful young to have all my plumbing removed. So has this happened to anyone else? And is this really my only option?? I don't understand why I keep getting pregnant- esp since its usually ectopic (but not always) and I always miscarry by week 8. What is wrong with me? Please, no negative comments.
