I have a spot behind my ear. It is the size of a normal spot and red looking but has been there for well over a year now, just does not seem to go. It has not got any bigger but can't get rid of it - any ideas?

Yes, I'm a senior and I'm afraid these are old age spots, but I'm puzzled that they should appear as a wine color. I only noticed this twice in my life. My other age spots appear just brown.

I had tried and squeezed it once and it did go smaller but it seemed to gradually come back.
I haven't tried any treatments as I am not sure what will work.
It doesn't hurt me but it's just not nice to feel.
Today I discovered a blue purple spot at the top of my butt near the crack. It isn't raised but it is sore when I touch it. What is this? It looks like a very small bruise but I don't remember falling so i don't think it is.. I'm very nervous about it because I had an abscess around this time last year and I had to have it lance which was very painful and i don't want to go through that again. However, this bump looks quite different from the abscess I had. Please help!

View 1 RepliesI 'm just curious about a spot kind of thing I have on my scrotum. The spot itself looks cream in appearance and it looks as if its under my skin on my scrotum. The spot doesn't hurt however it doesn't pop even if i try my best. It seems as if there is something hard inside it and no matter how hard I try I can't pop it. I have had it for over 3 months now and its not going away so i'm really worried. Can someone please help me and tell me what this thing is and how can i get rid of it.

Here's my concern: Every morning (not all times, but most often) in my nose there is always a spotted while spot like lesions grouped together then after I took a bath it leaves a red spot that makes my nose reddish appearance.

I have problems with dry skin, so maybe this is the result of me not getting enough moisture? Could it be melasma? Anyway here are some pictures :I'm pretty sure it's not melasma, but then again that's coming from the person that doesn't know what's going on with her face. Can someone please tell me what this brown anathema occupying my face is?! Or the cause of it?
View 12 RepliesFor about 3 months now, my fiance has had an intensely itchy area on the left underside of his scrotum. We tried numerous powders and creams, both medicated and unmedicated. Some would work for a few minutes to a few hours but nothing "cured" it. The area is very wrinkly and dry looking. He scratches and itches it so much that it starts to get raw. I stopped using any laundry detergent at all on his boxers and just washed them in water. He said it helps, he isn't as itchy as he was before, but its not going away.
My crazy mind is now going all over the place to try to solve this and I began to wonder....
I, myself, have been suffering from recurrent episodes of bacterial vaginosis for about 2 years. I treat it with vaginally inserted metronidazole and it goes away. Then, sometimes weeks, sometimes months later, it comes back. I just did some research and am going to try some home remedies for myself.
I find conflicting information online about men and a bacterial infection. I read that it is uncommon for men to get this and if they do they USUALLY have no symptoms. Is it possible that he got it from me and is now starting to show symptoms? And I only treat myself so are we just passing it back and forth? Maybe these are two completely different issues but I have to wonder and ask. I hate to see him so uncomfortable all the time, and I know I hate the symptoms I get with my BV.
A couple of years ago I noticed a brownish spot appeared next to my belly button. A friend told me it was probably just an age spot / liver mark (although I am 20). Yesterday, I noticed it was flaking off and itchy. Today, it looks like this. Reddish but white in the middle. I'm really concerned and have been anxious over this since last night. Does anyone know what this could be?? (The redness around my navel has been there for a while too.)

Someone told me to use tomato juice or potato juice instead of lemon juice to avoid white hairs. my question is that will tomato juice or potato juice will be helpful to get a fair and toned skin without turning my hair white.
View 1 RepliesAbout a year ago I noticed raised areas, like blisters under skin on the Palms of my hands(red), some pin head size others small nail head size some of the larger ones form a blister well under the skin...painful to touch. The others ones are just itchy, drive you nuts itchy. A doctor checked on Vasculitis and they think it is that...I seem to think there is a bacterial inflammation in my blood. Has anyone heard of this? I take Zyrtec 1 daily and if I miss two days the bumps come on me with a vengeance. A biopsy was done at the site of a bump and prevalent of Neutrophils. I had a corticosteroid shot for another ailment and it worked miracles on my vasculitis. Does anyone know of other diseases that I should check into. and will a full body pet scan reveal the source of this stuff.
View 14 RepliesI Just need to know if this in normal. I burn myself with hot water last week. I blister formed and then busted open. I drained the yellow/ clear fluid and a small scab in a straight line formed where the blister split. The scab got peeled yesterday by mistake and then a good amount of the skin that was burned ( only about 2-4 inches of skin, may be ) peeled off. It left pink skin exposed underneath. It doesn't really hurt at all, it just itches. I put neosporin and a band-aid on it this morning. I want to know if this is normal, if its going to stay pink like that forever, and if its going to scar.
View 3 RepliesI have hard, dark skin on my lower back, I think it was due to my bed being broke some long time ago when there was a spring sticking out, it might have been scraping my back, but now it's like over a year that my bed is alright, nothing's really wrong with it, and the skin on the lower back is still dark, I tried TONS of different methods to get rid of it, but couldn't. I tried skin softener kind of cream or something, or wax, I can't remember, but it had something to do with sunflowers or sunflower seeds, it helped me at first, I used to put it on my lower back after every time I went for a shower, but then the dark skin started coming back, and pretty recently (about a month ago) I tried a special tea some people recommend, it helped as well, the dark skin was gone for maybe around a few weeks, and I used to pour the tea over my lower back after having a shower, and I didn't dry my lower back after shower so that my skin could absorb it, and well, the dark skin started coming back again, please someone help me! I've tried a million things! I also tried using sponges and what not to scrub the skin off, which didn't even do anything.

But it's been a few months, and its still not gone and looks worse. It is red and round/oval shaped. If I squeeze it a yellowish puss will come out and maybe bleed. i have very dried,red, itchy skin between my thighs to where it hurts so bad,and it peels and bleeds,and sometimes cracks when i open my legs to far? They do not hurt unless touched. It almost feels like I have a sliver of glass in the spot. I have had these before but only a few and they went away within a day or two. The ones I have now have been present for a week and it seems more are coming. What is going on?
View 2 RepliesI periodically suffer from dry skin on the forehead and cheeks, and now is another stint. It is far worse than anything I have ever seen this time though, with skin actually flaking off and being very visibly dry, and only on the forehead not on the cheeks as well. In addition, I have red bumps on my forehead that look unlike any pimples I have ever had. This has been going on for perhaps a week now. I have no idea what is causing this and really want it to go away.

I have been diagnosed with diabetes (type 2) 2 years ago. Even before, my skin on legs felt so itchy, that I sometimes woke up at night. I even sometimes took a hairbrush and scratch it on legs. I actually wounded myself!!! These wounds do not heal easily and leave scars behind.
What should I use to prevent this itching?
