I am on 100mg of Viagra for ED. For some reason when I was with my GF tonight, it did not work. I took it about 45 minutes before we had intimacy and nothing. Plus when she was giving me oral, my penis was very very sensitive for some reason. This has never happened (the Viagra not working and my penis being sensitive)
I know I had some pills that were probably a year and a half old and I think I took an old pill. Could the potency have been lessened?
Also we ate a really big high fat meal beforehand. I know that lowers the potency as well...
Also I started taking L-Arginine. Could that have anything to do with it?

I remember I read somewhere that it was not the same to take a 50mg pill than half a 100mg pill.
The thing here is that I usually take a 50mg pill before having sex, I'm used to that dosis, however last time I went to the drugstore I accidentally bought 100mg pills, I am not willing to take one of those since it's the double of what I usually take (and 50mg works fine with me) but I am not sure is by taking half of those pills it would equal a 50 mg one.

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy. I've tried both original brand and generic Viagra. There is no difference in effectiveness as far as I can tell between the brand and Generic versions. I am 45 & take generic Viagra 50 or 100 I bought from my last trip to Thailand. I noticed:
1.when I take it after food, all I get is symptoms of Viagra (little headache, etc.) except erection !!! WHY?
2.When I have empty stomach, I may get erection after 1 hour, some other times after 3-4 hours. I can not understand why? This make it difficult for me to determine when to have sex with my partner since it is random like this

I'm 28. I am capable of getting proper erection any time of the day except for being in bed with a girl. After clinical check and running tests the doctor confirmed that my sex drive is healthy and functioning and that my problem is purely psychological. Performance medications help sometimes help (sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, .. ). But in other times they just don't have any effect. I have been told that as long as I have performance anxiety, all the viagra in the world will not help.
To overcome the problem, my doctor prescribed me Trazodone Hydrochloride 100mg every night. I have to say that after taking Trazodone for a couple of weeks I could have healthy sex with or without viagra. I took Trazodone for a bit more than 3 months and then gradually stopped. for the following 4 months I could also have good sex ONLY when taking viagra. But now (after 6 months of stopping Trazodone) viagra stopped working again.
My question is: Did the doctor tell me to stop taking it too soon? should I start taking trazodone again for a longer time? How long should I keep taking the Trazodone to completely overcome the performance anxiety?
I feel confused because I read that Trazodone sometimes have a reversed effect if taken for too long.

I was prescribed a Viagra dose of max 100 mg. I am 44. My doctor prescribed me Revatio so that I could substitute it with generic sildenafil (20 mg). when I take 60mg, I get a decent sized erection. I noticed my feet becoming red and wasn't sure if it was a swelling as mentioned in the Viagra's serious side effects page. Do you have any photos of how swollen feet look like under Viagra so that I can compare mine to see if it is serious or am I just being too fearful?

I am a 51 year old male and I have been a insulin diabetic for over 30 years and have had slightly high blood pressure for about 10 years.
I have been having a few issues maintaining erections for a few years now, sometimes its fine others not so good. It has got to the point where this is happening more often than not.
I had been taking 50mg viagra but this did not always work and generally left me with a headache for hours after taking.

Viagra does not work, period.
Calais gives him about a 20% erection, but at 40.00 a pill, it's impossible to afford on our tight budget.
Using a pump combined with the tightest ring, only gives him about a 30-40% erection for about 5 minutes.

I am a 23 year old gay male who has been experiencing sexual dysfunction since 18. I find it hard to ejaculate during sex. The urologist I have seen has implied I'm having some mental issues related to my previous rape or have doubts about my sexuality, which I highly disagree with because it was preexisting before I was raped and frankly really insulting. I've tried psychotherapy and it was a bad experience because each therapist I have seen so far didn't want to even broach the question and that I should "keep it to myself." I think it could possibly be just performance anxiety but I can't find any relief. I have tried abstaining from masturbation, but the problem is still there. Oh and one of the psychotherapists was the director of the local LGBT center and she effectively ostracized me from coming back there. I really don't know what to do other than to move to another area to find better support.
