Second Pregnancy :: Preeclampsia Again?

I had preeclampsia with my last baby (born June 3, 2014) and I'm about 7 weeks pregnant. I'm terrified of getting it again. I was diagnosed with it at 35 weeks. I delivered my son and he was in the NICU for 8 days. I've read that if it was severe and early there is more of a risk, but if it was later and less severe there's a 20% rate of recurrence. I gained 50 pounds with my first. I have been trying to eat better since I found out. I ate like crap the first time. I also didn't take prenatal a because iron made me sick but I'm going to try this time. I'm just so terrified of having it again and getting another bad Doctor. Is there any mom who has had it with their first & been okay with the second? Just to give me a tad bit of excitement rather than creeping fear.

Is anyone diagnosed with preeclampsia? What were your first symptoms? I am 34 weeks 3 days and was diagnosed two days ago based off a 24 hour urine.

I'm pregnant with my second baby. With my first I developed preeclampsia at 36 weeks. I'm 24 weeks now and have been officially diagnosed with preeclampsia since 20 weeks. I'm glad I've made it this far with no major complications... I've done 2 24 hour urine collections

So i've been diagnosed with preeclampsia and the past few days i've had swelling in my right ankle and pain all the way up my right leg my blood pressure has been high i have a headache i don't feel right i called l&d they said it sounds like nothing and im worried i don't know what to do im scheduled to be induced next friday but i feel like my drs are just idiots with how they've been jerking me around here lately

I was at my doc apt and she sent me to l&d to be monitored and have to do blood work cause she said my headaches and blurred vision could be a sign of preeclampsia ...

They think I have preeclampsia I have to do this 24hr pee test. I went in because my doctor said I was showing signs of preterm labor & the labor and delivery doctor said I wasn't and that my baby is fine and i'm 2 cm dilated. I'm only 35 weeks and they said it's normal. BUT now they wanna say I may have preeclampsia? What does it mean or have any of u had it ?? If I have it I may have to be induced

Well my doctors have said I am showing signs of preeclampsia and im 38w3d with a baby boy I keep having really bad headaches and spotty/blurry vision I also am very swollen have very high blood pressure and have a bunch of protein in my urine went to the emergency room last night because I couldn't manage the pain anymore and they did my blood pressure 6 times and it was really high each time then they checked my swelling told me i need to be put on bed rest and do a 24 hour urine collection ... im scared im only18 and i've changed and grew up so much for my son my sister almost died from preeclampsia I don't want my son to have anything wrong with him because they are stalling to deliver him and I don't want to have to choose my life or his life I wish they would do something and do it fast im in so much pain on a scale of 0-10im about a 20 someone please give me advice should I call the other local hospital and ask for a second opinion?

I had extreme preeclampsia with my daughter 6 years ago, so I took precaution on this pregnancy. I was watching my diet and trying to take it easy. But yet it seems the condition had not eluded me. I thought it wouldn't be quite so scary this time, since I knew more about it, but I was wrong. I'm not sure if it is because it was caught so much earlier since we were watching for it, I'm only 31 1/2 weeks, or what. Today I did the 24 hr urine test and tomorrow we'll get the results and then we go from there. Other than the preeclampsia, baby and I are doing great, which is why I'm hoping for the best tomorrow.

I'm 30w&3d pregnant. At my last appointment 2 weeks ago, I was told I had high/elevated blood pressure & at my appointment today It was the same, but a little higher than last time. I also had a trace of protein in my urine. I had Perthes disease diagnosed aged 8, it was pretty bad and to cut a long story short I had a total hip replacement aged 19 (ten years ago!).
Since then things on the hip front have been good
I fell pregnant with my first child when I was 25, and sadly my pregnancy was badly affected by pre-eclampsia, resulting in my son being born at 30 weeks (he's fine now).
I've been doing some research about both Perthes and Pre-eclampsia, separately, and come across some articles that suggest both could be caused by blood clotting probs (thrombophilia/factor V Leiden etc.).
I just wondered if any ladies who suffered with Perthes as a child had any incidence of preeclampsia during pregnancy or pregnancy-induced-hypertension?

wondering how reliable pregnancy tests are?
my boyfriend and I only had sex twice this month. my period ended on the 19th of feb. and I had unprotected sex on the 25th of Feb, and 4th of March, using the withdrawal method. my boyfriend generally pulls out a few seconds before he ejaculates. My boyfriend also smokes.
Over the past recent days I've been having minor, short cramping, but sometimes it feels like the pain moves up to my ribs? I'm pretty sure some of the cramping was caused from wind. I've been passing wind quite a bit the past 2 days and have experienced minor diarrhea, and some minor constipation today. I've also been peeing a bit more frequently but not sure if it's just me taking more notice and over thinking the situation (maybe I've been drinking more fluids) or if the amount I urinate is completely normal as usual? Only last night have I started to notice a slight rise in body temperature, and during the day today I felt like I had a few hot flushes, but at times I still feel physically cold. Around the 20th of Feb and so forth, I experienced creamy cervical mucus production, but as days went on it become less and less, now it appears that I hardly have any discharge at all? I do feel like I've been eating a bit more but it's hard to tell because I generally eat plenty anyways. Although, today I didn't feel like eating at all? Not sure if it was just stress though. Also, during the day today I experience some back pain - but this may have been from me sitting on a backless chair for three + hours? This may be unrelated but on the side note I've also been experiencing pain in my fingers, shoulders and other places around my body.
I have not experienced or noticed any other visible pregnancy symptoms so far. No morning sickness, no breast changes, no cravings, no spotting, no fatigue (in fact I've been feeling more awake than ever) etc.
My period is due in 2 or 3 days. I took a pregnancy test tonight, carefully following the instructions, and it came back as a negative.
Could I just be over-thinking and stressing about the situation, causing my mind to notice/believing I'm pregnant?

For about a month now i have been bleeding for about a day or two then back to bleeding severe pain in my abdomen and lower back i have had the mirena IUD for about 3 years now... i have had two negative pregnancy test both at the ER i am scared it's a tubal pregnancy because i seem to have the symptoms but the constant bleeding does anyone have any idea as to what is going on with me the dr said it was normal pain from my menstral but i am not so sure......
