STDs :: Red Bumps On Penis On And Off
Mar 22, 2015
Tiny, red bumps appear on shaft of penis on and off again. About a mm in diameter. No pain, no itchiness. I've recently been tested and everything came back negative.
They show up in my pubic area, too. Could they just be clogged pores/ingrown hairs?
They first appeared about 5 months ago. I had protected sex with a girl I didn't know well. She did also performed oral sex on me. First symptoms showed up about 20 days after.
They normally appear for about a week, then disappear. Went to the doctor and got checked for a variety of STDs including herpes -- everything came back normal.
I've been symptom free for about 2 months now, but it looks like they're back. I haven't had sex with anyone since that encounter. Help?

About 3 months ago i noticed a small bump on the bottom of my penis shaft. The next day there was about 5 to 7 and only 1 crater looking very small bump on the tip. It went away after a week. I went to a doctor who said it had To be herpes and u took an icg or igg urine test and hsv 2 came back but the doctor said it's not very accurate. On my 2nd visit he said there's no way it's herpes and that it looks like warts so he zapped or burned half of them which really hurt. He referred me to a urologist who said it could be anything and gave me antibiotics which didn't do anything. I have been staying away from sex and stopped mastyrvating because every time i do the red crusty rash shows up around my penish on the top of the shaft or and small bumps that go away after a few days the red rash looks like chaffing based on what i researched and i don't have an answer for the bumps. Again, the bumps or rash show up right after sex if masturbation. Have a red rash with somewhat cracking dry skiing under the top of the penis on my shaft. There is no discharge. No pain or burn when i pee.

I'm a 28 y/o heterosexual female. I am confused as to the nature of small, flesh-colored bumps I have near the opening of my vagina and am hoping someone can shed light on what these can potentially be. Firstly, please note that I have made a gynecologist appointment for Friday morning (1/8). I'm sure we're all familiar with the agony of waiting for an appointment, and then waiting some more to receive test results, so I'm hoping that describing the ailment here will help me narrow down the possible causes and relieve some anxiety.
Please bear with me--there are several variables to my situation, including my having the Mirena IUD placed, as well as developing a yeast infection post-placement (common when changing birth control methods, as the disruption in hormone levels affects the pH of the vagina).
Timeline and Facts:
I recently began a monogamous relationship in mid-November, 2015. My male partner and I used condoms in the beginning, but stopped once he was screened for STDs (including HIV and an HSV blood antibody test) and got a clean bill of health. I had been tested in August, 2015 and my results were all negative (my tests included the standard screening, plus an HSV blood antibody test). To date, all of my Pap Smears have been normal.
On 12/27/15, I noticed mild irritation near my vaginal opening, but believed that was due to either 1) frequent intercourse the previous two days, or 2) the beginning of a genital pimple. I've had a genital pimple before, which I learned to recognize by its white head, individual presentation, and rapid disappearance after treatment with a hot compress. When I've developed a genital pimple in the past, it was after either masturbation or intercourse wherein I didn't clean myself thoroughly enough and some remaining fluid clogged my pores. Because I'd been having frequent intercourse 12/25 - 12/26, I thought perhaps I was getting another pimple, and so I treated the area with a hot compress.
On 12/28/15, I visited my gynecologist to have the Mirena IUD placed. Placement, although somewhat painful, went well and fairly quickly. I had some spotting and cramping for three days afterward (to be expected after an IUD placement), but nothing alarming. During the IUD placement appointment, I asked the nurse to draw blood for STD screening, as I hadn't been tested since August and wanted to be sure I was still healthy. I was tested for HIV, HSV 1 & 2 (blood antibody test), Syphilis, and Hepatitis A, B, & C. All results were negative. I was not tested for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, HPV, or Trichomonas because the nurse did not perform a pelvic exam or swab.
My partner and I waited two days after the IUD placement to have sex (12/30), and we were careful not to be aggressive, as an IUD can sometimes be expelled from the uterus. The morning after having sex (12/31), I noticed that my vagina was somewhat sore and inflamed. I believed this to be related to the IUD placement coupled with having sex shortly thereafter. However, the soreness and inflammation continued and grew more intense, and by 1/1 I was also experiencing itchiness on and around my labia. Having had yeast infections before, I used a hand mirror to view my vulva. My labia were red and inflamed and I saw some white discharge. On 1/2 I treated myself at home by drinking fresh lemon juice and eating yogurt with live bacteria cultures. My symptoms improved overnight, and while I was happy to have physical relief, I decided to also treat with a Monistat suppository on 1/4 to be sure that the infection was gone.
On 1/4, while inspecting my vulva again prior to inserting the suppository, I noticed two small, smooth, flesh-colored, slightly raised bumps on my labia minora, immediately outside of my vaginal opening (the vaginal opening itself was still slightly inflamed). The bumps don't appear to have any kind of head on them, aren't open sores, and have no pain, discomfort, or itching associated with them. My previous soreness and itchiness had been located higher on the vulva, between the folds of the labia and closer to the urethra--so I was surprised to find bumps, as I hadn't had any pain or itching near my vaginal opening. Today (1/6), the bumps are still present, even after my yeast infection symptoms have disappeared.
I am confused as to what these bumps could be. I've always tested negative for HSV 1 & 2 (including my most recent testing on 12/28), and I had the Gardasil HPV vaccine as a teenager, before I became sexually active. I know that Gardasil protects against the cancer-causing strains of HPV, as well as 90% of the wart-causing strains. I suppose this could be warts caused by one of the strains not covered by Gardasil--how soon after exposure would warts appear, if this is the case?
To add even MORE information: my male partner's last relationship lasted ten years, was monogamous, and ended in June, 2015. He had not been screened for STDs in four years, which is why I asked him to be tested in early December 2015 when our relationship was getting more serious.

About a week ago I had sex with some random woman. We did use protection and it didn't break (I checked). A little less than 24 hours later I noticed red bumps all on my pubic hair. Some have white heads... They don't hurt or even itch that bad. I have no other symptoms.. But a week later it seems to spreading a little to the other side... Is that even possible die Folliculitis? Or could it just be some of the hair follicles weren't as irritated and didn't show up for like 4 days... I went to the doctor and they put me on dicloxacillin and I've been using bacitracin. But don't really see results... Could a std show up that quickly and with no other symptoms?

Should I be worried about these bumps? I've been comparing to different penile stds and it doesn't match.

A few days ago, my boyfriend asked me a question that really threw me for a loop. He asked if I'd had sex with anyone else but him because a few weeks ago, a few days after giving him head, he noticed some itching inside his penis. It comes and goes, but it was so bad that night that he felt like he didn't have any choice but to ask. He asked me if I'd had sex with anyone else in the past month, and I was able to honestly say I hadn't. I've also been tested (I'm a guy and they did a **** test) for gonorrhea and chlamydia, and the results were negative.
What could his problem be?
If it could affect anything, he did change his diet considerably not long before it started. There is no burning, and no discharge. Just an occasional itchy sensation inside the penis.
So... yeah. To reiterate: I haven't been with anyone but him for two months now, his penis started itching a few weeks ago, I tested negative via a **** test for gonorrhea and chlamydia a couple of weeks ago, he has no burning or discharge, and I have nothing to indicate anything is wrong with me.
What might we be looking at here?

Can masturbation lead to small bumps or blemishes on the foreskin? I'm 15 and haven't had sex. The small bumps are along where my fingers usually go when I do it. Everything but that area is okay and I'm getting a bit worried because it been there for a while. Can this be because it's dry?

I meet this girl don't really know her and we have unprotected sex. She was on the rag and neglected to tell me I was sh*t housed and went in for the kill not realizing she had a tampon in so it pushed it in her and we smashed for a moment then she told me and took it out and being a man I decided a lil blood was worth the sex. The next morning I woke up with small red bumps on my tip and they went away as the day went on so I didn't think much about it the next night we had sex again and they once again appeared and once again depleted the next day... The third time they are still here, I'm freaking out all of this time she was on her period and I'm trying to figure out wtf is going on. I went gyno on her ass and turned on the lights and looked around down there checking the field in which I had been playing and there was nothing.. Now I have red bumps on my tip and shaft and progressively they have gotten worse. I have looked through a million pictures and none look exactly like what these do..there are quite a few prob 40 or 50 on the tip.. I'm scared sh*tless what do I do?

This stripper licked my penis briefly a couple of times, from the bottom to the top. She did not put my penis into her mouth and she did not suck me. Total exposure was probably 5-10 seconds.
After this occurred i told her to stop, left the room and masturbated without washing my penis first.
I could not see an active cold sore, but it was dark.
I had a type specific IGG blood test about 2 years ago and i was negative for both HSV1 and HSV2 at that time.
I am currently 7 days post exposure and i have had no symptoms other than the post-exposure regret amplifying normal skin sensations.
1. How much of a concern is this exposure for HSV?
2. I know that the virus needs to be 'massaged' in, but i am concerned with the act of masturbation afterwards this may have been a possibility.
3. I know that a primary outbreak can take up to 14 days, but is more common in 2-5 days. Would you say that this exposure, coupled with 7 days and no outbreak mean that i am likely home free?
4. Can I engage in regular sexual relations with my wife?
5. Am i at risk for any other STD's?

A day after i received oral sex from a friend I began noticing a tingling sensation in my penis. It was a brief encounter where i stopped half way through. The tingling has been going on for two days now, could this be an std? She did brush and gargle with mouth wash before performing.
I have not seen a discharge from my penis nor pain when i urinate. But tonight i did notice a yellowish stain in my underwear that did not look like urine.

4 days ago I received unprotected Oral Sex from someone I didn't know who stated they were STD free. Now a few days later I have a small red spot on the shaft of my penis. It's very faint (so far) and doesn't seem to hurt.
Could this be an STD from the oral sex just 4 days ago?

In the past week i have been having this problem where in the middle to near the end of masturbation my penis starts to burn...Afterwards i
look at it and its just a little red with some tiny red spots in the shape of a circle on the shaft. I have never had sex so i know its not a STD but i am really worried about what this could be. Somebody please help...Could it be as little as masturbating to much and be caused from the friction or as big as a health problem?

I recently turned 14 years old and I have never had sex. But I recently noticed after my birthday in July that I had a couple very itchy bumps on my scrotum. At first I decided that it was nothing and I pushed it aside. But then I started seeing more itchy bumps. I noticed one got on my penis and I thought it was a STD or a STI but I have never had sexual intercourse. On my birthday I met a girl who gave me a hand job but you can't get any STD from a hand job. I looked up "itchy bumps on penile shaft and scrotum" on google and I read that I can try putting either Baby Powder or Gold Bond on the bumps. I've been trying doing this for about a week and nothings really changed. I am too afraid to talk to my parents about this and the only place where I know of getting a free check up is in downtown and my parents would not just take me to downtown for no reason. I don't want to tell my mom or dad about this, someone please help me. I'm scared and the itching has gotten so bad that it just woke me up from sleeping at 4 AM.

I have a really embarrassing problem, and I don’t want to go to a doctor unless I really have to. But I have these 4-5 whitish bumps on the shaft of my penis, and I am really worried. I don’t think it’s an STD, because it’s been over a year since I had sex. But I’m afraid that if a girl sees them, she will think there is something wrong with me.

I had unprotected sex last saturday, I'm a very paranoid person and I'm obsessive. Probably at unhealthy levels for both. But anyways. I've noticed some white bumps on my penis shaft. I'm not sure if they were there before because I haven't looked at myself this detailed before. Well i've looked on the internet and seen that it could be sweat glands, hair follicles, or papules. I don't have painful urination or burning. I'm not sure what I should do, and possibly my paranoia is making me worked up for nothing. Are std's treatable. I'm not saying I have one but I'm a little concerned. And the only reason I'm here is because I'm wanting to keep this under the table.

Recently I started noticing very small bumps on the lower end of my shaft where it starts off and close to my testicles. They are lighter than my penis skin tone and are very small like pimples.
The only un-protective sex I've had is performing oral sex on a female, and I've received unprotected oral on my penis and kissing of course. Other than that, I have NOT had unprotected intercourse.

I masturbated using a vacuum hose and woke up the next morning with several red splotches kind of bumpy things on the shaft of my penis. It looks pinkish in color kind of red. It is painless. The skin is not rubbing off or burning or anything.
What do I do? I researched it and It could be a subcutaneous fungal infection.
I am putting lotrimin ultra on it just in case. Is there anyway I can paste a picture on here? I am really worried, my penis has never had an STD and has always been perfectly clean.

I'm 26 and have had a steady partner for some months however I had unprotected sex with another woman just 4 days ago. A couple days ago I masturbated about 3 times in one day. I noticed yesterday a small red bump that resembled folliculitis on my penis. I noticed a bunch more of them today and don't remember seeing them yesterday. They are all separated, not clustered, and all located on the long shaft part of my penis. So far they don't itch or hurt when I touch them or anything. I'm wondering if they could just be infected hair follicles or if I caught genital warts from that woman, or what? Will likely have a doctor check this out because it's scary to think they could be lesions, even if they resemble folliculitis. One of them almost looks like a little blister and there is another spot that seems to emerge a larger flat red area. Don't know if I'm seeing it correctly because it's barely there.

Ever since i can remember i have had these small bumps around my penis and balls. I have never had sex or oral sex. They look sorta like blackheads or some sort of pimples. I squeezed one and it looked like some puss came out but didn't go away. I'm concerned to what they are and if there is treatment for them, or are they contagious.
