View 4 RepliesSeveral times a day in the last week, I have experienced a slight crackling noise in my left ear and straight away felt dizzy as if I'm going to faint. Can anyone tell me what it could be.
View 4 RepliesI have been having a weird crackling noise in my left ear. It seems to come back when I wake up in the morning. Then it either fades away entirely later on or only gets triggered when I hear sounds (i.e. music, shutting doors, any noise).
I have been to the doctors and she looked into my ear, there was nothing wrong with it. I haven't been having any sinus problem. I have also cleaned my ear with a product called "Audiclean".
This has been happening for a year now. This ONLY happens when I am sleeping or laying down which is the same thing. When I go to sleep, one of my ears will make a crackling, popping sound. It will continue to make sounds until I get up. When I am awake and up, it doesn't happen. No sounds. Everything is okay. I already seen doctors and there was no explanation .... maybe etd. maybe acid reflux. This was not helpful. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Remember, this only happens when I am sleeping. It happens every night. When I go to sleep, my ear will make a crackling, popping sound until I get up.
View 2 RepliesI am a 22 year old male. Along with my other issues I also suffer from the above. My endoscopy showed (Mild G1 reflux oesophagitis and minor duodenitis. Some bile reflux in stomach). I am currently taking Esomeprazole 40 mg per day which I believe is not helping. Everyone has said how my voice sounds much deeper and different than before, and the top of my throat is always itching. My teeth feel really bad, I know over time Acid can make them really bad. I have had several appointments cancelled by the Gastroenterologist at my local hospital and I am due to see him in September. I have tried all remedies etc but nothing seems to help.
View 6 RepliesOkay, so here are the facts: I have a 1 cm hiatal hernia and reflux. This I have been diagnosed with. I changed my whole diet - very bland and eating next to nothing. For about a week or two I was feeling better and eating all the same foods. However, last night I ate the same meal I eat every night -my chicken and apple sauce at 5:00. At 8:00 the intense pains started in the chest and went on and off until 1:00am with feeling like I was having a heart attack. Pains in the back and chest and under my breastbones. Finally took my spasm meds (docs thought I was having esophageal. spasms) but that didn't work to help the pain. Any thoughts - does anyone experience this horrible chest pain. It is horribly painful feeling like my esophagus is being pulled, stabbed, and crushed. Its excruciating!
View 12 Replieshaving new symptom now... Along with Polymyalgia, Prednisone I and other RA drugs, I'm now experiencing extreme thirst. Water just doesn't quinch. I drink atleast 8 cups a day. Nothing else.
have blood tests about every two months, sugar levels are good as per doctor, though I see it as on high side of good. In the 90's.
i just wondered if since everything I ingest makes my throat flutter, if it's making me feel so thirsty.
does anyone suffer from the above, am worried is something sinister, seem very fatigued sometimes feel sick and acid in throat driving me round the bend, i cough sometimes, GP gave me omeprazole worked a little then dont seem to.
View 3 RepliesI was diagnosed with having severe acid-reflux problems at the hospital. I was told that nothing can be done for me....? How can that be?
Plus, I have to wait 12 weeks for an endoscopy to check for a hiatus hernia!
My main issue is that I feel as though I am choking after I eat any food. It is incredibly severe. I cannot function because of it. But, I don't have any acid in my mouth or burning. Do you have any choking?
I'm on nexium 20mg, and have tried 40mg. I've also had lansoprazole and omeprazole, but none have worked.
Is there an op that can be done to prevent the acid reflux?
Just to put it bluntly I am 35 years old and honestly I feel like I am 95 and just waiting to take my last breath. This is so crazy that a disease such as acid reflux can make you feel this way. My symptoms to name a few, I can't breathe, I have chest pain, I have the heart palps, I have the heart flutters, I have the chest tightness. The first thing I think of is THIS HAS GOT TO BE MY HEART! But no its the thing called gerd! I quit drinking, I quit smoking, I quit all of the stuff that I loved, and it is still here.
View 13 RepliesI have had Gerd daily for last 2 months. Prescribed lansoprazole and gaviscon, but still not improved. Chest started getting worse so doctor checked my lungs and said they were crackling. I was prescribed antibiotics and inhaler. I still feel no better. Starting to think it will never improve. Have appointment tomorrow hopefully will sort out an appointment for endoscopy. One of my many symptoms is excessive saliva. Does anyone else suffer from this??
View 6 RepliesDoes anyone else get a crackling sound when you breath in at night in bed? I had an endoscopy on tuesday and all that was found was gastritis and was given a leaflet on gerd/acid reflux. I have a constant back/shoulder/neck discomfort and i am worrying it's my lung now. I am having an abdominal ultrasound on saturday to check my gallbladder.
View 7 RepliesI have had acid reflux for 2 years and been on Lansoprazole 30mg once a day as a PPI
I am 42, male and overweight
Recently I have had the most frightening experience of waking up in the middle of the night choking and unable to breathe. It lasts about 60 seconds but feels like 10 minutes
The doctor says I could be inhaling acid whilst asleep.
Has anyone information or experience of this and know what can be done about it - its VERY scary.
I have just been told i have acid reflux what foods can i eat and what can i not eat...
View 1 RepliesI've been having issues with burping and bloating after eating. I tried the baking soda test to confirm low stomach acid, so I started supplementing with Betaine HCl. I had one pill with one digestive enzyme supplement at breakfast which was rice flake porridge with banana, ground sesame and ground sunflower seeds (I'm vegetarian and don't eat dairy either). I didn't have too much burping or bloating initially. Then at lunch time I did the same thing (one hcl one digestive enzyme), lunch was vegetables, rice noodles and tempeh. I experienced lots of bloating and upper stomach pains and a sort of tight feeling in my throat. These symptoms gradually have gotten worse throughout the day. Did I not have enough protein at lunch? Or are my digestive issues not related to low stomach acid?
View 1 RepliesSince February this year I've been suffering with reflux that's been worse than I have ever had it before. Initially I had reflux which seemed to be on one side of my neck only. I was on 20mg of omeprazole for this and it seemed to help but didn't get rid of it completely. For the last couple of months I've been taking the OTC version of Nexium 20mg and this has helped to get rid of the one sided reflux feeling.
However, now for the past week or so I seem to have a pain under my breastbone that comes and goes but is there after I've been eating, or when I move around (but not so bad when i'm standing up).
I have had problems with acid, heartburn and stomach pain and symptoms for well over 8 yrs maybe longer. after yrs of asking for more investigations and being dismissed by gp because of my age (30), telling me I am young and healthy and don't require a endoscopy , I finally had one done yest and have been diagnosed with hiatus hernia and a large area of barrett's can anyone advise the best info sites to look at at.. and also could this have been helped had by doctor listened to my concerns and had proper investigations done years ago rather than guess and take me on and off diff stomach tablets ?? Long few weeks of waiting on results.
View 1 RepliesIm a 25 year old male, I was diagnosed with Gastritis and esophagitis about 6months ago and was put on lansoprozol. I then went for a second camera into my stomach 2 months later and the gastritis had gone but i still had esopagitis and a stomach ulcer had developed.Im currently waiting on my 3rd camera which will take it up to 9 months with all of these problems. I'm currently on omeprazole twice a day and my diet is perfect plus i don't smoke and haven't drank in 9 months.
View 19 RepliesI have suffered from reflux for 12 years now and take 40 mg daily Omeprazole. Over the last month or so my symptoms seem to be getting worse. I am due to have an endoscopy on Tues and i had a scan on Friday (I thought i had gallstones but it's not that, but i seemed to have a lot of 'gas'. I am suffering mild upper abdominal pains. Every morning when i wake up i can hear the regurgitation of my reflux going up and down whilst i am still lying down and i belch a lot first thing in the morning before i even eat or drink anything. The first thing i do when i wake up is take one of my 20mg tablet of Omeprazole. This is really getting me down at the moment, not knowing why my reflux has worsened just lately. Has anyone else had this?
