Prostate Swelling :: Garlic And Ginger Helps
Oct 26, 2015
One thing that I have noticed; a pattern in my prostate problems. Although, I am 64 years old; I enjoy lifting weights and I always like to do a very vigorous routine that attempts to build bulk. When I go all out , I notice my prostate get so swollen, it wakes me up at night and I can not sleep and it effects my urination. You know can not void completely, Retention. But I did notice if I weight lift regularly, the only thing that keeps the prostate from swelling is a certain kind of diet. I start out by cutting up garlic a small slices, raw . Then I slice up red onions, than I slice up raw ginger I mix it up and eat if with a small amount of dressing; very small. I notice if I do that my swollen prostate subsides and even I start feeling a sensation in my penis and am able to experience an erection. It is a hard diet to follow; because you always have a garlic odor and the vegetables are all rather bitter. But it works. If I do this ; coffee does not seem to bother me, and I am able to urinate sort of regularly although I do still retain urine in my bladder. I try to cut out bread at any time because I notice even if I lift; I gain weight and stomach fat within a week and it continues. It is difficult to do; to avoid bread; with no carbohydrates; it is rather uncomfortable but it works. Tell me what you think.

I'm just trying to recover from a flare up and as I'm quite new to this horrible disease I am making some mistakes along the way. I've been on a low residue diet for two weeks & have been ok & felt fairly normal at the weekend, but then yesterday felt a bit constipated & bloated so I started taking my psyllium husk supplements & a spoonful of Aloe Vera juice, I only took two PH but this morning felt very sick again & had to rush to the loo so many times. I don't have any pain & the only way I can describe it is that my tummy feels very tender, so I think I've tried to rush things. I've been reading SO many different versions of how long it takes to recover & what you should be eating? I think I am fairly confident that I have been eating the right things so not sure why I ended up constipated? A few people have said that cranberry juice is really good & also that you should eat raw garlic as it acts as a natural antibiotic. I have read posts on here saying that you should avoid garlic.

I found thread worms last night and was up all night with them, I had to go to work at 7am this morning so I'm very irritable. I've been looking after my brother's son for the past 2 weeks so I think maybe that's how I've got them. I heard that vaseline is a good solution, (applying it to your anus) I was wondering if the females can't get out of your anus to lay their eggs due to the vaseline, where will they lay them? I heard that they tend to lay them inside of you if you cover your anus in vaseline or pop a garlic clove up your back passage, so they start their life cycle again, is this true? I'm on the Meb tablets and am fed up of waiting for them to go, me and my boyfriend are going on holidays in 5 days and I don't want to be riddled with worms.

I hate to think I might not be able to ever truly get rid of these pinworms. It started around October of 2014 where my butt was itchy and thought it couldn't be normal since it happened almost every night. I went to the Dr and explained to him what was happening and even said to him that maybe it was parasites. I didn't know at the time if it was or not but being from a Hispanic culture where if your butt is itchy you assume it's parasites. The Dr just said it was normal that some people had an itchy anus and gave me some cream to put on that area. Fast forward to march where I had to go back in because it didn't stop and had another Dr check and said maybe it was hemorroides so I was prescribed something for that. Then the itchiness came back and I FELT something squirm in my butt I was horrified, I checked and yup, it was a pinworm. I went back to the Dr and assured her I had worms so she prescribed me some pills. I toOK one already and am suppose to take another in 2 weeks. But the itchiness is horrible, I have kids who sometimes stay at their father's house and feel horrible that if they have them then the bed sheets or anything else might be infected. I told him to wash everything and explained how important it was, but he won't do the whole cleaning every day thing. I have washed all my sheets and towels and kids stuffed animals and had my carpet washed and everything but I work and go the class at night and can't wash every single day the way it's suggested. I've been changing underwear and washing daily and going crazy with hand sanitizer and lysol but I read lysol doesn't do anything. I was spraying lysol ever day and night all over my house but I guess that does nothing? I was wondering if maybe rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle might help instead? I need to know how else to keep the house clean if I cant wash the sheets daily. I am going insane. I want to get rid of these little monsters!! My mom told me to take a garlic clove and grind it up with a bit of this liquor called Aguardiente which is like liquorice but just a few drops and eat that early on the morning like 4 am or 5 am before I ate anything else, that what her grandma gave her when she was a young girl to prevent and get rid of parasites.

So I find that these sea bands work. This is our fourth pregnancy and so far it's miserable. I can't eat anything and I stay nauseated. My husband and I own a business and have several dinner date with clients.he says my sea bands are in formal. I agree people tends to ask questions about why I have bands on my arms. I am only 8 weeks and ginger gum doesn't work for me. The nauseating feeling is horrible. Is there any other thing that works especially when I am on these formal events?

This is my first pregnancy and I'm 7 weeks pregnant. I've got all day nausea (no vomiting) and like a dull ache in my stomach from hunger but can't seem to stomach much.
What have you found effective with taming down the nausea? I've been drinking hot water with fresh ginger but not getting much relief.

I was doing really well, and was almost to my goal of being able to fly again (my niece has a wedding in July, and I didn't want to miss it due to being too big to fly), when I started having this strange craving for Strawberry Splash gushers, and Ginger Ale. For the past three weeks, I've gone through two boxes of gushers a day, and a liter of ginger ale a day. Does anyone else have strange food addictions that set them back? How did you kick it?

About 2 years ago I noticed a knot pop up under my right jaw bone. I thought it was a swollen lymph node, and it only really hurt when I swallowed and would start swelling back up every couple months on and off. Recently the knot had been swollen up more, I can always feel it, but it will swell up bigger when I am eating at times. Along with that for the past couple months you can see a sort of swelling or lumps and redness in the back of my throat ( I don't have tonsils) but that is also on the right side. This hasn't gone away at all, even when my throat isn't hurting. I also have swollen glands under my tongue that sometimes swell more and hurt when I eat. My family doctor has put me on two antibiotics, and I did test and was treated for type C strep, but no swelling went away after that.

About 5 weeks ago my right eye started to feel extremely painful to the point I ended up to A&E, The diagnosis was that I had a cornea cut and I was given some eye cream, over the following couple of days things go much worse, again back to A&E and still cornea cut, finally I was able to go to an Optometrist who quickly told me that the cream I was given were absolutely no help as I had Eye Shingles, and she prescribed VIRGAN,she also made a follow up appointment as I am half blind (left eye)..... 2 weeks passed and started to feel better, however follow up app and apparently shingles were still there. I was given tablets against the viral infection.....now after 10 days I feel it has gone worse where I am unable to look in the light at all and I am at a loss..... I would go back to the Optometrist on Monday but losing faith and not sure what else they can do as obviously I am pretty much at a loss (no punt intended).... anyone has had experience with eye shingles and what were the best "products" provided?

My six year old daughter has suffered from a bad sunburn and I feel dreadful. I realize it is absolutely my fault that it happened, but we having fun at the beach and we forgot the time. I really didn't notice how red she was until much too late.
At the moment it is sore and hot to the touch and she's in pain.
Now I have heard some stories about things that might help. The only thing I have in the house right now is Greek yoghurt. I don't want to run off to the pharmacy because I would rather take care of it right now.

I was diagnosed with peripheral polyneuropathy 11 years ago. I take 300mg lyrica/day 60mg duloxetine/day and now they want me to take an opiate nucynta to manage my pain since I have trouble with pain. I live in California and recently got my MM license and obtained some Charlotte's web which is suppose to help with pain. Helps a little but pain killers work better. A friend of mine had me smoke some pot by way of vaporizing and it actually took my pain spike away for about 5 hours. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm afraid of what vaporizing cannabis could do to my health. However I feel like I actually have found a way to reduce my intake of meds and much more affordable.

Years ago (on Woman's hour I think) I heard that strongly pinching your lip helps to stop a cramp.
I know that there is no scientific evidence for such a form of treatment but it certainly works with me and several other people I have suggested it too.
Since it is likely to be harmless it seems to work on at least some people it would seem worth suggesting and even one day doing a proper trial on more patients.
Certainly as good as most other suggested forms of treatment

I was prescribed 300mg to be taken at night of Gabapentin for acquired nystagmus. I have been diagnosed with severe bilateral vestibular lose and in conjunction with nystagmus, I've developed oscillopsia. My GP recommended Gabapentin as a means to possibly settle down nystagmus. Has anyone had experience with this or any advice to share in how long it takes to understand if it does or does not work. I'm only couple days so experiencing some side effects such as headaches and dizziness but I assume this will pass.
