I am retaining A LOT of water.. my weight has been normal the whole pregnancy up until last week.. I gained 7 pounds in two weeks.. my dr said its all water. I go back on Wednesday scared to see if I gained more.
View 1 RepliesI am a 41 year old female. For the last two weeks I have been retaining water and have put on 20 lbs! For the first two days I took lasik and that kept it at bay but did not reduce any swelling. My last blood test was 90 days ago and all was fine. My family care doctor has ordered blood work for cancer, liver and thyroid tests as well a ct scan of my abdomen/cervical region with and without contrast in case of any blockages. Short of acute kidney failure is there anything else you can think of that would cause this.

Lol I'm a ftm & I really want to try to go natural..I know I'm probably just saying that now because I've never experienced such pain, but the way I think of it is...our bodies are meant for labor if women back then could do it without medication why can't I.? The only way I'll do it natural if it's a water birth. I read into it and like what I've read so far. Any mother's out there experienced water births or just go natural period ?? I would love to hear your experience. Or any mother's looking into it.?

Either a water birth or active birth where I can move around? With my first daughter I was stuck to the bed with an epidural.. I've heard it's also harder to give birth lying on your back?
