I'm 22weeks and found out that I had a short cervix I was 2.6 cm now I'm 2.1 this is my first child and I'm scared because I don't want to miscarry or have a premie can I still deliver naturally and has anyone else had this happen to them I'm so scared
View 5 RepliesIm due February 7th. I had a checkup at 36 weeks 3 days yesterday. Im now 2cm dialated. 1 week ago I was 1cm. My doctor said I likely will not go till my due date. My problem is my 10 month old son is having surgery next week in a town 3 hrs from mine. I want to be there but I also don't want to have my baby away from home. I'm still waiting on surgeon to call to make appointment but I'm really hoping for early next week so we can try to be back home before the baby comes. Ill be at a hospital, I know I can have her there but it'll only be me and my husband. Nobody will want to drive 3 hours to come visit. After my sons surgery we will have to stay for a couple days. I just want to know if there's anything I can do to slow the process so I can be sure she will wait a little longer to arrive. Im off work already and was planning on just taking it extremely easy. Like pretty much doing nothing but rest.

View 2 RepliesAt 38 weeks and 6 days I was checked yesterday for the first time. My doctor seemed so amazed at the fact that my son's head is all the way down but I wasn't too amazed at the horrible pain I had to endure for him to get to my cervix :( Basically my son's head is sitting in front of my cervix. I read stories on women having their cervix pulled to the front during labor and it sounds like it hurts worse than how I felt getting checked and childbirth put together.
Does anyone have either of these or know of someone who does and was able to go into labor naturally, were able to deliver vaginally? Or did it just end in an induction and C-section? If you did deliver vaginally were you able to get pregnant again without big complications? I have this and my doctor wants to induce because I am due tomorrow and I still haven't even softened, but I have a large chance even without inducing that I will have to have a C-section no matter. Every female on my mom's side has it and all had to have C-sections, except my mom who had my brother naturally and should not of and had to be artificially inseminated(sp) with my sister and I because she was not able to get pregnant on her own after.
View 5 RepliesI just had my 38 week appointment and my doctor said that I'm 1 Centimeter dilated and my cervix is soft . Most people are upset when they are this far but only 1cm dilated but I'm really happy ! I'm a first time young mom and think that I've really progressed . Last week I wasn't dilated at all . Does this mean I could go into labor before my due date ?

View 8 RepliesSo I'm 37 +6 and yesterday and today I've been having this pinching feeling what feels like on the inside of my vagina and it gets worse when I walk but if I lay down it goes away for the most part. Like it got so bad a few times It stopped me dead in my tracks but idk what it is. I do have a short cervix btw
View 2 RepliesLong story short I am miserable and ended up in labor and delivery last night at 38 and 4 due to being light headed dizzy nauseous and seeing spots. They checked me and the nurse said my cervix was "extremely posterior" but didn't explain anything about what this could mean. Apparently I am only 1cm dilated and 70% effaced as well. Anyone else been told this or know what it means? Am I not going to be able to go into labor on my own?

And also iv been having pressure in my bottom and my lower back is really sore like a dull pain... Could this be labour starting soon? Did this happen to anyone else?

View 13 RepliesI m 34 yrs and I have missed my periods by 12 days and I felt I m pregnant, becoz I am experiencing nausea and the other symptoms . To confirm my doubt, I did the pregnancy test at home today morning and the result is positive.
I already have a 2 yr old baby .We want to take care of her and also I have joined my husband here in USA after 2. My husband and I agree to abort it. WHY?? Because we are not prepared for another baby as of the moment.
I don’t want to see a doctor, since I'm afraid to surgical abortion.
