I had sex the day before my menstrual started. It's been 3 weeks and in the past week I've had lower back pains, abdominal pains that feel like slight cramps and milky discharge. What does that mean?
View 3 RepliesA week before cycle is due I've been having white milky discharge back pains, cramps at lower part of my stomach running nose sore boob on left side and a queasy stomach in the morning, now it's 5 days before my period is due and i'm drier than i was 2 to 3 days ago but still it's some creamy discharge.. should i go for a pregnancy test or just wait?

View 1 RepliesI keep track of my period using a tracker, and it hasn't failed me yet- I'm always right on time, but last month that changed. My husband has been overseas for a year and just got back last month, the day my period was due, but it ended up being 5 days late. I put that into my tracker and it updated my "schedule" for this month.. But again, I'm almost 4 days late. We only use the pull out method, so I'm worried I might be pregnant. I've been experiencing lower back pain, and mild cramping like I have when my period is coming.. Also, there's a white discharge but I haven't noticed any spotting or anything like that. I'm wondering if it's the stress of having my husband home again after so long, or could my hormones possibly be messing up due to having sex regularly after not having it for a year? I've taken 4 home pregnancy tests and they've all been negative. They were all "early detection" tests and I took 2 before my period was due, one the day it was due, and one after I was 2 days late. Clear negatives. I really don't want to be pregnant right now and was planning on getting on birth control after this period.
View 14 Replies6 weeks ago whilst at home relaxing I noticed a short sharp twinge down the right side of my scrotum. Within a few days this had developed into pressure type dull ache up my loin towards my kidney. I'd say about a 5/10 on the pain scale. I tried to ignore it but it wouldn't go away and my anxiety started to grow. Shorty after I became quite ill and developed a mild fever. No discharge or pain when peeing tho.
I visited my doctor and she thought I had a UTI and gave me trimethoprim for 1 week. She sent my urine off to the lab. A couple of days into the course I felt a bit better but by the end of the course it still hadn't shifted. I'd say about 3/10 on the pain scale at this point but the anxiety had gone through the roof because when i went back to the doc they said there was no water infection. I thought I might have cancer, aids and all sorts . I was sure I had aids and wrote a will (please don't laugh).
I plucked up the courage to go to the sexual health clinic for blood and water tests. To my relief I got the results a week later which we're clear. During this period i also noticed i was having a lot of gas and sometimes id go to the toilet for a no.2 and feel like id have to go again an hour later. I then went back to the doc for an alternative diagnosis but I was a different guy and he was useless. Just said I've got a groin strain which I thought was rubbish because I hadn't done any proper exercise in about a week before feeling the first pain. I also fail to see how a groin strain can cause gas and some minor upper abdominal pains which I'd also noticed (maybe caused by anxiety who knows).
I started to think did the sexual clinic miss something? Have I got aids (a test can sometimes give a false neg)? I've been constantly on the web scaring myself.
By week 5 I'd had enough. I was having groin / pelvic / lower back / thigh pain. About 3/10 on the pain scale. I decided to go to A&E. the doc there examined me for a hernia and that was negative. I suggested prostatitis because it seemed possible giving my many hours of research and he didn't dispel it but I got the impression he couldn't be bothered to perform a rectal examine. I think he took the easy diagnosis of a groin strain and after giving me pain killers told me to come back in 2 months. Arrrghh!
To summarise Do these symptoms sound like prostatitis?
1. Groin,hip,thigh,lower back ache
2. illness earlier in the process and a general feeling of unwellness for about a month
3. some minor upper abdominal pains
4. also noticed ejaculation is not quite as satisfying (possibly anxiety)
5.depression
I recently had a CT for another issue, however the CT showed a 6 cm cyst on the left ovary and a 3 cm cyst on the right ovary. I have had a lot of lower back pain, side pain, abdominal pain and constipation. Should I be concerned??
View 1 RepliesI have been constipated for years, I have swelling and tenderness in my left quadrant of my stomach slightly above/near my belly button. Around mid february I noticed that when I lay on my left side I get a tingling sensation and numbness with pulsating throbs through to my back. It stops when I turn over on my right side. I went to the ER and they said I have an umbilical hernia, however very small and shouldn't be causing this much pain. I hurt from my ribcage to my hipbone. I am having a colonoscopy done on friday because I thought my colon was causing the pain because I am severely constipated, however Im starting to think I might have an aortic aneurysm after researching some. has anyone had any similar complications? as I'm writing this my left side of my body aches. from my ribs down to my toes. its really strange. I'm worried because I have 2 kids and a husband. My feet are always cold, I figure I already have poor circulation...and I've always said I would die from an aneurysm.
View 5 RepliesI have been getting pain for a couple month in my lower back, but it's only been very mild pain. I started getting the pain after very heavy deadlifts at the gym, then the pain has been sporadic for that time.
I went for sprints on Sunday morning and then afterwards my lower back was really in pain. I felt sick and dizzy in the evening for about 2 mins, then it quickly passed. However, since Sunday I have been experiencing mild abdominal pains in the mid abdomen area (near the belly button) and my bowel movement has changed as i haven't been going as regularly the last few days.
I am just curious as I haven't been to the doctors yet. I wanted to go and see the best doctor at my surgery, but unfortunately he isn't available until next tuesday. If it gets worse then I will definitely make an appointment with another doctor, but at the moment it isn't giving me too much problems, just the mild pain is all.
Has anyone experienced this before and could it be a slipped disc that is causing the stomach pain and lack of bowel movement? I had no problems before Sunday when I think I further injured my back.
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months now... However, this past period has been very weird. I got my period the day after I was supposed to this month but it only lasted a day or two and it was very LIGHT bleeding and cramps which is abnormal for me. It stopped for about four days and then I started noticing small clots of blood and light bleeding along with lower back pain and lower abdominal pain. I made a doctors appointment and he did a pelvic exam and said as far as he can tell everything seems normal but would like me to come back and do an ultrasound just to be sure... However, I do not want to go due to financial issues. It has now been about 2 weeks that I have been having spotting, light cramps, although today they are much worse, headaches, and tiredness. I have not been nauseated and I have not had a fever or anything... Has this happened to anyone before??? I am just so worried that whatever this is will stop me from being able to get pregnant. My Mom keeps telling me it is normal but I am worried.

I have scoliosis in the lower back and just started showing in my belly area (well it just appeared one morning lol) but I've noticed my back and everything has been really sore.
View 2 RepliesAbout 2 week's ago I took 2 perc within a night and the next day I got sick, I thought from the pills, but than I was nauseous and have been for the most part ever since. My left side mid to lower back started hurting approx a week ago and it's gotten much worse last night and now I'm having pain in my upper right abdomen as if the pain moved. I'm on muscle relaxers for my back already but it's not affecting/helping my new pain though and the new pain doesn't feel the same. I was just curious if anyone had any idea what it might be, some say kidneys but does that pain or can it move from my back to my abdomen?
View 1 RepliesI have alway experienced a small amount of white discharge, but for the past month I have thick green discharge which has a horrible smell. I am also getting bad back pain. I have been on the pill for coming up 1 year and have a long term boyfriend. Am scaried incase it is a STD. My boyfriend has been tested a few month back for STDs and got the all clear. I get the urge to pass water more and I only pass a small amount. Am really very worried, and to embarrassed to go to the doctors.
View 2 RepliesI have had lower back pain for months now which goes hand in hand with numb lower legs, pain and discomfort really bad in the morning when waking, so much so I get up and have to stretch on my exercise mat to get relief. The veins in the lower legs in the morning really stand out. I saw the doctor who said it was lower back pain causing the numbness in the legs but the circulation seemed ok. I wanted a scan to see what the problem is as the pain can be bad, but he said they don't do back scans no point? The pain is often bad and I sit with a hot water bottle. I am 60 years old.
View 16 RepliesI'm 18 and i was diagnosed with scoliosis at a young age. I wore a brace to correct the curvature for about 2-3 years. The brace would put pressure on my hips and after some time I would have pain in my lower back, down my buttocks, down the back of
the leg and into the toes. It's sharp and searing and sometimes there's tingling and numbness. Could this be sciatica caused by the brace? Is it possible that it pinched the nerves and caused permanent damage? All I know is that it is extremely painful and hard to get to go away..
Me: 20 y/o female, 5ft5, 135lbs. (I have been losing some weight so I don't think I am pregnant.)
A week or two ago I was having this weird feeling, like tugging, in my belly button it was accompanied by some sharp pains on and off. A few days ago i noticed that the right side of my tummy, starting in the lower right quarter of my belly button and going about two - three inches down and about the same to the right, maybe a bit further, was swollen. It isn't super noticeable unless you look right in my belly button because I have some tummy fat, but the right is absolutely swollen. It is not a lump, but honestly just feels like fatty tissue or water retention. It isn't very tender, sometimes it feels like there is a bruise but there isn't, there is a spot that seems more tender. I have had this sharp tearing pain but it is very random and hasn't been bed enough for an ER visit. When I walk it hurts but it is very dull.
I have a doctors apt on monday but I am worried that this could be something bad.
I am not sure if this is related but it seems like it is (TMI sort of period stuff below just a heads up...)
I usually have normal/ heavy periods that last about 5-6 days. This time it started off very light, the next day i had about 12 hours of soaking a regular tampon in like an hour and a half (this is really unusual) and then it tapered off that night. The bleeding only lasted 2-3 days and the last bit was this strange copper color as opposed to bright red or brown. This is pretty strange for me.
Since December 2012 my sister has had severe pain in the left side of her stomach. The doctors have tested everything even when she was admitted into hospital, nothing was found on CT scans, MRI scans and no results from blood tests... She has just had a key hole operation to have a look inside and see what it is but they have said again there is nothing there.

I have been staying on a buddy's couch...been working 12 hour days and really haven't been able to fall all the way asleep for weeks now..could this just be stress and i'm over thinking things or are these signs of a much serious issue....
View 1 RepliesMy husband has been suffering from lower left pain and tenderness in his abdominal area. He also has loose stool and a lot of the time feels like he needs to go, but can't. Cramping included. He randomly feels nauseous. His pain is also cause with eating, so he avoids eating big portions. He does eat yogurt, one cup a night. It sometimes helps. He has had a colonoscopy done and it was clean. Heartburn is also included, he takes rolaids every night. I just wish I could help him. I hate seeing him in pain! What is wrong with him?
