Pregnancy :: Anyone Induced Without Dilating Or Effaced?
Jan 13, 2015
I'm 39 weeks and 4 days, I haven't dilated or effaced kinda worried.. I have 2 daughters and never had this problem. My doctor plans on trying to soften my cervix and see how that goes.. I really don't want to have a c - section.. Just concerned that my body isn't doing what it needs to do..

Went to triage last night for decreased fetal movement and good thing baby was good and everything was fine. Doctor said I was 1 to 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced. What does that mean? 60% effaced?

I'm 38 weeks today and wondering since I'm already 60% effaced if that means my son will come early or could I stay effaced for 2 more weeks?

So I've been dilated 3-4 cm for the past 2 weeks. Today I'm in pain. My back, sides, and butt hurt like hell to the point where I'm tired of trying to manage the pain. So I went to the hospital to get monitored and they told me that my contractions weren't "strong enough" for them to admit me. They sent me back home and I'm still in pain... What am I supposed to do?

I'm excited... I've been complaining for the longest but the wait is almost over. Now I'm just waiting and hoping she comes on time. As I said I'm already halfway dilated and 80% effaced (may be more). For the past week I've been struggling with getting out of bed because my pelvic bone hurt sooooo bad and sometimes I can barely walk. What could that mean?

First time mom, and just had my 36 week checkup. Dr told me I'm already 2 cm and 75% effaced. I honestly didn't even realize I had been having contractions. I'm excited to see my baby. Should I try to walk or otherwise encourage labor to start or just cool my heels? I've never been good at waiting for things, lol.

So I'm a first time mom... I'm 38 weeks today... I'm thinking of being induced at 39+1 days pregnant... does it hurt when they induce you and how do they induce you?

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I'm being induced this Sunday coming (19th of April)
This is my first baby, and I have no idea what to expect.
Like I know the basics, they're going to use the tape first for 24 hours (checking me every 12 hours) and then if that doesn't work I get the gel for another 24 hours (again checking me every 12 hours)
And once I'm 3 cm Dilated they will break my waters, and put me on a drip to help bring on contractions..
I need someone who has either been Induced and or been Induced and had a natural labour.
I just want to know what I should expect happen, and does it hurt more being induced or just having Bub come natural. And what I can do once the tape is in to help speed up the labour.

I'm exactly 1 week overdue and i'm scheduled for an induction in 6 hours! I really don't want to be induced. I feel the baby could come on its own very soon and i rather give him a few more days. I'm wondering has anyone been induced? the more i read about induction the more im turned off by it! im young and healthy and i think extending for a few more days won't affect the baby.
