I first want to start out by saying that I had a tubal ligation after my twins were born 12/13/2006. I have four living children and one still birth.
My period was due to start on Tuesday (December 4th) it is now Friday (December 6). On Monday I had some very light spotting for a few hours and then it stopped. My period has yet to start. I know that there is a rare chance that the ligation did not take. How long should I wait before calling my ob doctor? What things should I keep an eye out for? Any suggestions would be great as this is scary to me since I know that there still is the chance for a tubal pregnancy and do not want to think of my children having to go through life without me.

I had my tubes tied 2 1/2 years ago and my cycle had been regular up until this month. I'm 9 days late and my breasts are sore, I'm always tired, minor cramping, nausea and constipation. Could I possibly be pregnant even though I had my tubes tied or is it something else?

I recently remarried and have 3 children of my own. My husband also has 3 who all live with us. I never thought I'd get married again or meet anyone who wanted more children so I had a tubal. Being a single at 27 was hard enough with 3 kids, after having some problems I had the Novasure procedure 3 years later but still having my cycle. My husband and I really do want to conceive a child together but I'm afraid it's not possible..

I'm 38 yr old had a tubal ligation done 12 years ago and have a positive on both a home pregnancy test and a urine test done at doctors office. I'm 10 days late on menstrual cycle, what should i expect? I'm afraid to get my hopes up that I might have a lil miracle in the oven. And no i haven't had a reversal surgery done nor any other type of fertility treatment.

I had a strange period last month which I'm pretty sure was late and I don't know how long my cycle usually is I've been irregular for years. I had unprotected sex the beginning of last month and started experiencing some pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, breast tenderness, cravings, bloating, irritability, among others. Then I started spotting for a day and a half then had what I thought was normal flow for about 4 days and on the fourth day I started spotting again for part of the day which then stopped completely and now I'm back to having the symptoms all over again. This has never happened before and I had my tubal ligation done 4 years ago what could be happening?

Has anyone else gotten pregnant after a tubal ligation and uterine ablation? I've my tubes tied twice (tied, cut and burned first time; burned the second time) and had the Novasure procedure done but I am pregnant in my tube again. The dr said he couldn't see why I got pregnant after the first tubal ligation so I really don't know why its happened again after the second. He says my only option is a hysterectomy but I'm only 27 and this seems awful young to have all my plumbing removed. So has this happened to anyone else? And is this really my only option?? I don't understand why I keep getting pregnant- esp since its usually ectopic (but not always) and I always miscarry by week 8. What is wrong with me? Please, no negative comments.

Just looking for advice. I just had a tubal reversal Sx done on 3/5 and am currently on the the mend as I ran into an infection. That aside, the Dr. said my tubes were "beautiful" and the reconnection of both was successful. I'm 39 and my new, (almost 2 years) husband in 41. He has no children of his own; I have three ages 15 to 18. Just looking for experiences like mine and if pregnancies were successfully produced through a tubal reversal.

On 8/14/2015 I went in for a tubal ligation (I have 3 children), I received a pregnancy test the morning of and continued on with the surgery. All went fine. I returned to my Doctor for the 2 week follow up and told her I had missed my period. I figured the recovery of surgery backtracked the cycle. She tested me in the office and the test was positive!I had conceived prior to surgery and was to early to detect any HCG levels I guess. I didn't have any blood work prior either. Now I don't know how to proceed.I have no idea if it will be healthy or abnormal/ectopic, general anesthesia, abdominal incisions, uterus filled w gas...this doesn't sound good at all for a beginning of a pregnancy! When can anything be determined?

I am 31 years old and I had a tubal done two and a half years ago. I have been having symptoms of pregnancy...tender breasts, darkening areolas, mild cramps, frequent urination...you name it I'm experiencing them. I have two children 7 and soon to be 4. I spoke with my obgyn and was told to take a pregnancy test. It came back negative. Was told to take another one in 2 Weeks. Is it possible to be pregnant after having cauterization done and having an ovary removed? If it is so I'm ok with it, but I'm worried it may be ectopic.

Have had a tubal ligation done 18 yrs ago. Went and did blood work a year ago to see how close to menopause i was and results n dr state i have a ways from it. That being said been having weird symptoms such as nauseated period like cramps in my stomach that has never happened but only when monthly comes. So i took a pregnancy test to eliminate that first and got a faint positive. So waited and took another one the next morning first pee and it was the same. Just wanting others opinion on this. Feeling confused and overwhelmed about it all.

I have been on Gabapentin on and off for about 7 months (since approx January). I was taking it for chronic pelvic pain, and it worked well, but it made me very emotional and made higher cognitive functions difficult. After 4 months of semi-regular use, I got off it quickly, but kept it around in case of a severe pain flare up. As of now I have gone through 2 "100 capsule" bottles of 100mg pills, so not too much. Never took a higher dosage then 300 mg and never took more than 300 mg in one day.
I've used it a few times recently (in July, just a few weeks ago) when the pain really flared up, thinking it would only have minimal side effects, but it has resulted in continual severe depression and dark thoughts even though I haven't taken any in two weeks. I took it occasionally because I thought the depression was predominantly from the chronic pain, but now I realize the gabapentin was the root of it. I'm terrified because I know the drug has long since left my system but I can't shake the side effects. Doctors and psychologists won't listen to me. They say I'm just depressed and it isn't the medication, but I'm positive it is. The pain is finally improving, I'm going back to school, and things are looking up. But there is this unshakable aurora that is plaguing me. No matter how hard I distract myself and push through there's this cloud that impairs my ability to emotionally and physical function (feelings of detachment, separation, depression, and some suicidal thoughts). Words come slower, it's harder to focus, memory is very dull. I wasn't concerned within the first few days, but it's been a few weeks now and I'm alarmed that it doesn't seem to be improving.
Do the side effects ever go away... How long does it take and what can catalyze the healing process? Is it possible to incur permanent damage from a low dosage, or does it take months to heal. Can anyone explain the biomechanics behind how gabapentin can affect patients weeks after usage.
