View 1 RepliesI am 7 weeks pregnant and I was sick for about a week with nausea but lately it's gone away and I just have been feeling mild cramping, no appetite, and sensitive to smells. This is my first and I don't know what to expect! My mom said she had similar experience with her pregnancies.
View 5 RepliesI am going on 30 weeks and I had my glucose testing done which came back normal but I am constantly thirsty for water I can't get enough is this normal as I get close to my due date or is there something wrong.
View 7 RepliesI had a vasectomy carried out under general anaesthetic (due to complications) on the NHS. It was done on a day ward.
I had no problems or complications other than a slight infection around the stitches. It took nine months before I got the all clear for having a zero sperm count though.
We have been to 5 doctors already. 4 doctors told my mom that she has chronic kidney disease because of high level creatinine and BUN and low RBC. But when she undergo GFR, the function of the kidneys are fine. What could be the possible reason. How to lower the level of creatinine and BUN in her blood. What tests to be done? What could be the possible reasons of this condition?
View 1 RepliesI was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis about 18 months ago. I have had it under control for over a year now except for 2 days out of every month. The first couple of days of my period. Every time I see a medical professional or talk to someone about it, they act like I'm crazy because I am too young to have these problems. Every month I am extra tired, moody and nauseous. I also get dizzy, disoriented, hot and cold, sweating, heart rate increases and when I'm hot it feels like my thyroid is pushing on my airway. I go to the hospital but they send me home cuz my oxygen is at 97%. Which is the lower side of being normal. And they are say it's impossible for my period to affect my thyroid like that. Am I crazy or are they not caring cuz of my age?
View 1 Replies34 years male, had a vasectomy a week ago, the left side was quite painful during the op to the point it made me loudly say OW during the procedure. They gave more anaesthetic and carried on. The right side, no issue or pain.
A week on and I am still finding the left side rather painful, there is small swelling above the testicle and its still sore to touch, and aches, especially if i have been on my feet for a bit, which will cause pain when i walk too. I know timescales for healing is different for everyone, but I was hoping that by now I would not feel restricted on my daily activities. I have been fortunate that I have been on leave from work and due back in friday, I have an active job, and really not sure how i will cope with being on my feet for hours and possibly taking a knock to my testicles.
Just wondering really what others experiences are to do with recovery.
I'm a ftm and my baby was born early yesterday morning. She still doesn't latch to my breast but she seems to be doing fine with her bottle. Is there anything I can do? I really want to breastfeed but I'm getting discouraged.
View 2 RepliesI have been dealing with angina for a year now and it has been controlled with medication called Ranexa, but over the past three weeks my systems have came back and they are severe and more often! I have to keep nitro with me at all times now cause I am have at least four to five attacks a day. I am scared to drive due to this. There has been no change in my medication so I do not understand what's going on. I contacted my heart dr and all he said was I needed to exercise more. I mean I get that and I'm not a lot over weight but I could lose five to ten pounds. So does anyone have any suggestions? I'm afraid I'm going to die of a heart attack cause the pain is going down my arm and now sometimes up my neck and jaw!
View 1 RepliesA genetic test has just come back that I have this. Can someone help me understand this and is this why I'm exhausted all the time.
View 6 RepliesI have been to Dr about my long list of peri menopausal symptoms.
My main symptom at the moment is the constant tiredness, shaky jelly like feeling whenever I do small tasks.
I am finding everything difficult & have to pace myself throughout the day to the basic things that have to be done. Taking hours to restore my strength after doing a small task ie preparing veg, cleaning bathroom, hoovering, showering, hanging out the washing.
I have had lots of blood test but nothing showing. My FSH is 15.5 Dr said it shows i'm not menopausal that my ovaries are working, but obviously at almost 53 peri menopause. Does anyone know anything about FSH?
My Iron is 29 although at the lower end of the scale not anemic. My B12 is fine.
I take B6, a multi vit, iron tablets, Chia seeds, Flax seeds.I have been taking Magnesium citrate for a week now & because i cannot cope with the tiredness I am going to try HRT (although always been opposed to it) I have to wait until my next period before I can start on it.
Does anyone know anything else i can try? & is anyone else feeling this extreme tiredness during peri?
I'm not depressed & have very little anxiety my only anxiety is could this be anything else other that peri menopause!
I have been in pain for about 8 years now. Whole body hurts, mainly back, traps and neck. Dry mouth and down there where it matters. I never feel good, cant remember when last I did. Often dizzy, always very tired, I can't exercise at all, used to be a personal trainer and now I can't even walk to the shop. I feel dead and hating every minute of it. Don't have a lot of faith left in doctors as they have been giving me quite the run around. Now, I am on a mission to sort all this out, went for blood test, twice and both times came back positive for Sjogren's, but the Rheumatologist still doesn't think I have it as I don't have dry eyes. Can I have it without dry eyes? I don't even want to ask her questions anymore, seems like you not supposed to ask doctors questions, just sit, listen, accept and feel like poo for the rest of your life. I also have 0.00 testosterone.
View 34 RepliesI am now nearly 4 months post op. I am currently having a period. Day 1 heavy day 2 heavy and painful day3 light now I have stopped bleeding now I can't believe it. So I'm buzzing hopefully weight loss and small stomach as well
View 14 RepliesI have had everything check that my doctor can think of, but for the last few months a have been so thirsty. I have to chew gum or Suck on a hard candy to get some relief.
I have been hypothyroid for years, without treatment, now the last few months I have been getting better on a lot of symptoms.
I have been checked for sjogren's syndrome, came back negative. My blood sugar and a1c is good also.
Any ideas? Could it still be my thyroid causing this?
I just got my tsh below a 1,and my free t3 is at the top of the range, and free t4 is in the middle of the range.
Is there anyone going / been through this? I am 25 weeks pregnant and I am exhausted! 😔

View 7 RepliesI am a 32 year old female. My question relates to Exercise Intolerance. I am very unfit and am wanting to get fit for the first time in my life but whenever I start even an easy exercise program, I get really wiped out. I usually feel okay after my "workout" (barely a plausible term) session, but feel extremely fatigued the next day. Which interrupts my program. This can be very irregular tho, sometimes I can do quite a bit and feel fine the next day. I had bulimia, starting at age 17 for 10 years and am wondering if this is still the effects on my body. I have no other side effects from the bulimia. Apart from that I have suffered Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but these symptoms disappear if I don't exercise. I have had my heart and lungs checked out, blood tests etc, all come back fine. Can someone please, please shed some light as to why I get so exhausted following even a small amount of exercise. It doesnt seem to matter be it cardio or weights.
View 1 RepliesOkay so I had gotten an infection from my nuvaring so me and my husband decided that I just was going to stop birth control completely that we are ready for a baby when it happens. We have been having unprotected sex and I have now been off of it for two weeks. A week after I got off of it I had no symptoms except for very light pink spotting. This week is a different story. My breast are sore
I have had stomach problems like back and forth between constipation and diarrhea
I am absolutely exhausted. I go to sleep early, wake up late, and still need a nap.
My lower back aches pretty much all day.
And I feel like my emotions are going crazy. Some days I want to cry, some days I want to yell, some days I love everything.
I don't feel like I could have gotten pregnant that fast but these symptoms seem a little extreme to just be from coming off of my birth control.
I've been feeling weird last few days, cold shivery but I've made myself swim and do yoga....just feel so very low today, its tiring typing this....have a few family stresses....I feel my heart is tired and sore and empty.....don't know whether to rest or go out, I just feel mentally and physically exhausted and very low.....this journey at times is soul destroying....I have two girls to look after and feel like I don't care.....devastated about this journey today...just want to cry.....I want my lovely nurturing caring hormones back, still in peri but periods closer together.
View 13 RepliesThis is going to sound weird, but is anyone else really really thirsty? I can't seem to get enough to drink. Of course I've been short of breath so maybe that has something to do with it? So tired of this.
View 23 RepliesI've started to become extremely thirsty lately. I've also had an issue with having to pee a lot, which has been happening for a much longer time than the thirst. The troubling thing is that I had a fasting blood test about 1-2 months ago, and also did a bunch of self-tests, and they were all normal.
Not sure how exactly I should approach this - My doctor wants another fasting blood test, and that's a whole other issue. It's hard to fast, as I feel extremely bad if I have to go without sugar, especially with the driving/waiting to take the test/etc...But like I said, that's another issue.
