Pregnancy: Age 35+ :: 36+ Weeks 2cm Dilated 75% Effaced
Jun 8, 2016
First time mom, and just had my 36 week checkup. Dr told me I'm already 2 cm and 75% effaced. I honestly didn't even realize I had been having contractions. I'm excited to see my baby. Should I try to walk or otherwise encourage labor to start or just cool my heels? I've never been good at waiting for things, lol.

Went to triage last night for decreased fetal movement and good thing baby was good and everything was fine. Doctor said I was 1 to 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced. What does that mean? 60% effaced?

So ended up having to go to er last night and was told that I was half a cm and 50 percent effaced! Then doc said I was full cm today but was given a shot last night to stop contractions cause they were every 15 mins ! I'm almost 38 weeks and supposed to have c section the 22nd. Now on major bed rest why won't they just take her ?

I'm 38 weeks today and wondering since I'm already 60% effaced if that means my son will come early or could I stay effaced for 2 more weeks?

So I've been dilated 3-4 cm for the past 2 weeks. Today I'm in pain. My back, sides, and butt hurt like hell to the point where I'm tired of trying to manage the pain. So I went to the hospital to get monitored and they told me that my contractions weren't "strong enough" for them to admit me. They sent me back home and I'm still in pain... What am I supposed to do?

So today I had my weekly check up, and I have been having some really bad pains and a lot of pressure. Last week I was still closed and not dilated at all, and I told my Dr about the cramping and sharp pains and pressure I've been having and she checked me. I am 1 cm dilated and it hurt when she went to check me and the baby and I both jumped and I said ouch, and she said sorry I touched his head?! Then she hooked me up to the monitors and I was having contractions. She said if they got any worse to call her and I'll have to go to the hospital. Any advice? I'm sooo uncomfortable and I want him out! I'm in so much pain! It's hurts to sit, lay down, get up, walk!!! If I went into labor do you think he will be.okay since I'm only 36 weeks today?

So I went in today for my regular check up and found out I'm 1 cm dilated. Doctor told me she gives me until 36 weeks to go into labor, which kind of scares me because I wanna make it until 38 weeks. Any suggestions? Or anyone else have early labor

Lol I'm 1/2 a cm dilated! But doctor said my cervix is really soft and that's good for when contractions start! Don't think baby's coming anytime soon but I actually want to go all the way to 40 weeks.

I'm currently 33 weeks and 4 days along. I went to my appointment Thursday and was told that I'm already 1cm at the back of my cervix. My Dr said that it's still firm and closed shut in the center and front but it's still too early for me to be dilated. Should I be worried (I am already) and what can I do to avoid dilating anymore until I'm in the safe zone at 37 weeks?

I am in week 38+2. I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and she told me that even though the baby is in right position ( been that way for weeks now) she hasn't dropped at all. Also, there is no effacement or dilation. I keep reading in this forum about other members being dilated so early on. Is it normal to not to be? I take long walks despite of sciatica pain. Is there anything else I can do to at least have the baby by due date, if not earlier.

Just had my first cervix check and I'm at 2cm

Is that normal? And my doctor even told me he's really hairy... How is that possible she could tell he's hairy? Lol sounds like a dumb question but yeah I'm a ftm.

Weird thing is that I haven't been having any contractions. I know what to do to bring them on and I've been walking but no contractions still. I was on bedrest but my Dr told me that's my baby girl is ready and I may as well be active as possible to get the labor process going.

So I'm 28 weeks and I checked myself last night just because I felt weird and I think I'm 1cm dilated. I could fit the tip of my index finger in my cervix. Is it possible to be dilated?

So I am 37 weeks and I was checked today and was told I was about 1 cm dilated. Did any of you ladies have your babies early with only being 1 centimeter at 37 weeks I feel that I will have my baby late.
