Pregnancy :: 60% Effaced (38 Weeks)

I'm 38 weeks today and wondering since I'm already 60% effaced if that means my son will come early or could I stay effaced for 2 more weeks?

View 1 RepliesSo I've been dilated 3-4 cm for the past 2 weeks. Today I'm in pain. My back, sides, and butt hurt like hell to the point where I'm tired of trying to manage the pain. So I went to the hospital to get monitored and they told me that my contractions weren't "strong enough" for them to admit me. They sent me back home and I'm still in pain... What am I supposed to do?
View 18 RepliesFirst time mom, and just had my 36 week checkup. Dr told me I'm already 2 cm and 75% effaced. I honestly didn't even realize I had been having contractions. I'm excited to see my baby. Should I try to walk or otherwise encourage labor to start or just cool my heels? I've never been good at waiting for things, lol.
View 2 RepliesI'm 36 weeks.. 4 days...Dr told me today I was 4 cm and 50% effaced...how much longer do I have?

View 3 RepliesWent to triage last night for decreased fetal movement and good thing baby was good and everything was fine. Doctor said I was 1 to 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced. What does that mean? 60% effaced?
View 8 RepliesI'm excited... I've been complaining for the longest but the wait is almost over. Now I'm just waiting and hoping she comes on time. As I said I'm already halfway dilated and 80% effaced (may be more). For the past week I've been struggling with getting out of bed because my pelvic bone hurt sooooo bad and sometimes I can barely walk. What could that mean?
View 4 RepliesI'm 39 weeks and 4 days, I haven't dilated or effaced kinda worried.. I have 2 daughters and never had this problem. My doctor plans on trying to soften my cervix and see how that goes.. I really don't want to have a c - section.. Just concerned that my body isn't doing what it needs to do..
View 1 RepliesSo ended up having to go to er last night and was told that I was half a cm and 50 percent effaced! Then doc said I was full cm today but was given a shot last night to stop contractions cause they were every 15 mins ! I'm almost 38 weeks and supposed to have c section the 22nd. Now on major bed rest why won't they just take her ?
