Sore finger joints and a feeling of numbness in one middle finger on right hand. It is really uncomfortable and this finger is lower in temperature than the other fingers. It's keeping me awake at night and doctor doesn't know what to make of it. Anyone run across this?

I was in total shock.At that point I was blacking out 3-5 times a day, constantly dizzy and struggling with the pain in my spleen.Along with the pv my haemotologist told me I am iron deficiant and cannot take iron tablets as it will make my haemoglobin shoot through the roof and risk me having a stroke or heart attack.so now I'm constantly tired and weak. I am just on 2 aspirin a day as doctor was worried about putting me on other medication as I'm quite young and is scared about the side effects on me (as if I'm not terrified enough).now my spleen has tripled in size and is a constant struggle to do daily things with my toddler, I'm starting to feel like I should just get it removed.has anyone had this done? And how did it effect you after the operation and then in daily life?
View 2 Repliesi was diagnosed may 2015 with PV and thrombocytosis. I had 10 straight weeks of venesection and now 2 monthly. My iron levels have become very low and I am struggling to have enough energy to do what I need to do. I know I cannot have iron supplements otherwise I will need more blood letting. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
View 10 RepliesI had protected sex few weeks ago with a prostitute, but I don't know if the condom broke or not (I think not). 2~3 weeks later I had a mild soar throat (no fever, sneezing, running nose or headache only cough). few days ago, I noticed my tongue is covered in a white creamy thing. Also my fingers joints aches a little bit (few seconds and then it goes away. The feeling is just like when you press on your joints, or when you feel so cold) I'm really worried that i could've been infected with HIV
- how bad should an HIV soar throat be?
- how long does it take for thrush to start forming on the tongue after having the intercourse?
- how bad HIV muscle/joints pain should be and for how long does it take for a person to start feeling pain after having the intercourse?
I was just curious if anyone has had persistent ring finger numbness? I've had ct symptoms 6+ years that come and go, however, now I have this strange numbness that won't go away... primarily in my fingertip (ring finger).
View 4 RepliesI'm 25, and have recently developed symptoms (last 2-3 months). I had some mild sore wrists before but over the last few month it progressed to numbness in both hands. I did some physiotherapy and stretching and it did actually improve a bit but then my left ring finger began to develop pain and severe numbness, enough to stop me from typing with my left hand. I ice it several times a day which is keeping it at bay but doesn't do anything for the numbness.
Any comments or advice? I'm on a 1 month wait for an EMG specialist. The only thing that makes the numbness better is bending my wrist into a flexed position and holding it there for a few seconds.
I'm puzzled. I've been using my steroid for about a week and a half. In the last day or two my clitoris is getting sensitive and sore to the touch. Is it from steroid or Aloe Vera gel? Any thoughts?
View 31 RepliesAbout a year ago I had what they originally thought was a stroke but when I had mri and cat scan they showed nothing. Since whatever happened I have a numbness feeling in my left arm and leg and they feel very tired (as if I have done a hard workout at the gym) which has never improved. My right arm and leg has started having a burning sensation. None of these symptoms ever go ever when I sleeping is making nights hard. Doctors keep saying they can find nothing wrong. So what do I do........ I am starting to get panic attacks now as i don't trust my own body I have 2 young children and I am getting extremely frustrated. Is it nerve damage? Why are tests showing nothing up? And now doctors saying is it in my head?
View 1 Repliessore throat,fatigue, pain, no diagnosis Posted 10 minutes ago I'm sorry for the long post but I really need some help. I am 25 years old,female from Bulgaria. Everything started after 2 shots of progesterone done by my gyno. I had high prolactin levels and somewhat low progesterone and my period stopped so that is why she gave me shots. After the second shot I woke up with very bad pain and burning sensations in my sinuses,my whole body was in pain.And there it all begins.For 2 weeks I wasn't getting better, I had a fever (not very high),sinus pain and sore throat. Finally I visited a ENT doctor,she said that there was nothing wrong with me,everything-ears,nose throat looked fine but I asked for a sinus x-ray-it was also fine. Then my gyno advised me to culture my throat and nose. The results were staphylococcus aureus in nose and Moraxella catarrhalis in throat. I was prescribed cefpodoxime (due to antibiogram) took it for several days and I wasn't feeling any better,then my dr switched me to Cefuroxime,it did help at the beginning,I was feeling better but by the time I was taking my last pill all the symptoms returned. My sinuses didn't hurt anymore but my throat was on fire,muscle and joint pain,feverish feeling but no actual fever this time. So I was put on unasyn (Sultamicillin) on IV drip.I was getting no relief and was just feeling very sick from that med,so we stopped it. The I went to another ENT doctor and he told me there was nothing wrong with me, my throat looked fine and I had a little wound in my nose with blood. I had no runny nose. So I did a culture of my throat again and it happened to be Candida Glabrata ( may be because of all those antibiotics) I also had e.coli in my urine.I took one dose of Fosfomycin for my e.coli and it cleared up and I was put on IV drip again with fluconazole for my candida.I also had candida in my vaginal results. I started to get better on fluconazole but again it lasted 3 days and in the end of the treatment I was ill again. My ears started to hurt very badly,all other symptoms continued.I waited 2 weeks after the last antibiotic and did a nose and throat culture again in two different labs and there was no infection found, I also did a vaginal and urine tests again and the urine was fine, had some enterococcus faecalis but in small amounts from my vag microbiology. My gyno said that it is better to not treat it for now because of all the meds I took for those 2 months. Yes,it's been two months and I am only getting worse, my whole body is in pain,I am very fatigued,have the flu feeling sore throat, ear pain,lymph and joint pain,I feel very very ill. And the tests say nothing. On my blood test the only thing that was abnormal was my AST (antistreptolysin-titer) levels were high 310 (from 200 being the norm).Went to a 3rd ENT,he also said everything looked fine, my ears and throat are not inflamed and he said that it wasn't my ears that hurt but my face joints. So I am here,desperate for ome help, not getting better,not knowing what to do now.I started having very bad panic attacks because I think I am dying and no one can find what is that illness. Can it be some autoimmune response to the progesterone shots? I don't know anymore. It's a struggle to get out of bed really.

View 7 RepliesI'm just sitting around thinking about my situation..worrying about my health all the time has taken a toll on my body..i'm always achy and sore everywhere..back pain neck shoulders..i just wanna be my age..young and energetic..i have improved a lot from the first time i got my panic attack..nowadays i don't get panic attack anymore..but i'm still very worried and i still do get sensations and sore feeling in my chest..is this really normal for anxiety? will i ever be normal again..i have done 5 ecgs,why can't i trust the fact that my heart is fine.
View 58 RepliesI am 18 and back in May I guess I "jammed" my finger. I say I guess because I really don't know WHAT exactly happened. My two dogs got into a little fit and when I was separating the two of them I don't know what I did, but I really messed up my finger. After it all happened my hand hurt REALLY REALLY bad. It also started swelling pretty much immediately. I waited a couple days and then went to the ER because I figured maybe I dislocated my finger or something. They did an X-ray and came back and said there was nothing wrong, and probably a sprain so they sent me home with an ace bandage and some ibuprofen. Fast forward to now.
The swelling in my hand has gone away after about two months of not moving it a lot and keeping it wrapped up. But each time I completely straighten (like I am stretching my hand) out, my ring finger makes a clicking noise and kind of pops up. Moving it certain ways, making a fist, putting pressure, pulling, or grasping something wrong hurts extremely bad. I can feel it move down at the base of my finger (like my last knuckle). It has caused a problem for me because it hurts with most normal things that I do. Even typing this is irritating.
So I finally went to an orthopedic and he looked at my hand and X-rays and said he isn't sure what it is and he recommends me to see a hand surgeon.
I did. I drove almost 2 hours each way to see this doctor and here's what happened in a span of 3 different visits.
He suspected trigger finger even though he said certain symptoms were odd. He gave me a cortisone injection into my left ring finger and OMG that was painful. But to be honest that pain from the swelling of the injection was about as bad as my hand felt right after it happened. But sadly that didn't help. So my doctor sent me to get an MRI. With the results of the MRI, he told me that he saw swelling in my finger and that he thinks is in the sheath but said he doesn't know what is causing that. So he told me he was stumped and should see someone who is more of a specialist and gave me a few names. None of them take my insurance.
So I decided to put all of my info out here and see if someone has had something similar happen or knows what might be going on with my finger.
I will also post below the "findings" on my MRI report.
"There is a focus of marrow edema involving the dorsal aspect at the base of proximal phalanx fourth digit and adjacent dorsal aspect head of fourth metacarpal with a focal small cortical invagination of the metacarpal which may be post traumatic in etiology from previous impaction. No discrete fracture or dislocation is appreciated at the fourth digit IP joints pr MCP joint. The flexor and extensor mechanisms and tendons appear intact. No significant sized joint effusions. No significant degenerative or arthritic bony changes are appreciated. Visualized musculature has normal signal. Subcutaneous tissues are intact."
Had A&P repair done 16 weeks again, had a few up and downs along the way but on the whole things were going ok, that is until last week, I have started to feel sore underneath and quite uncomfortable and this morning have noticed a bit of blood, nothing major, not had a period since last February so hoping it's not that.
Has anyone else expericaned this? I did call the consultants office yesterday but was told that I have now been discharged back to my dr, so would need to see him.
Don't know how I've hurt my finger,but have a hard knot on knuckle,whole finger swollen can't bend very painful?What is this?
View 3 RepliesI'm only 17 years old. I have felt the way i feel now for months. I am not pregnant before anyone suggests that!
I suffered from a disease/illness where my glands swelled up til they were huge and you could clearly see them. I had a fever all day, i would go cold and the hot, i had no energy at all and was generally sick! The doctor gave me some antibiotics and it cleared up.
Ever since then i have not been myself. I feel sick at some point during the day, i constantly have a weird feeling in my head, its not pain as such, but like a numbing feeling and irritation. I feel like im going to faint all the time, im weak and very tired, i also get chest pains from time to time & my breathing is rubbish, its hard to breath at times, i generally feel like im dying
I have had countless blood tests and all of them showed nothing!
This totally upset me because im frustrated, i just want it to be over!!
The doctor told me just to have lots of water and exercise.
My family were convinced that i suffer from anxiety and panic attacks!
As i had a panic attack due to the fact i felt so ill i thought i was dying!
It wasn't just happening to me for no reason the attack.
so they took me to the doctor where he told me my symptoms were that of anxiety and panic attacks so he gave me some tablets to take.
But i still feel the same!!
I do not believe that i have anxiety
I am sick if people believing that is what it is!!

I am slightly worried, but last thursday i was told i had asthma and i was given 2 inhalers, but since then my breathing has gotten worse, i suffer from chest pain and a "that's not right" feeling in my chest, and i am soooo fatigued and have no energy and now have lost my appetite :-(
and also feel sometimes light headed, I have been given a blood test but results aren't out yet and i hate waiting also i am really worried which make me worse and i have some back pain as well.

Now when I lower my middle finger on my left hand there is a little pop and the finger moves down a bit. And since i had also been cracking my toes the toes on my right foot make a pop too. I am kinda worried because I am only 13.

View 6 RepliesHi I'm female 60 years old recently put on meds for high BP. I also have Fibromyalgia I mention that because it seems whatever tablets I'm given for BP (,Losartan being the 4th tablet) my joint and muscle pain become some bad I struggle to even do the housework and where I used to walk the dog's for at least an hour I can only manage 15 mins also I could walk round the shops for hour's now can't wait to get my weekly food shop done and get back home . My BP when I take it at home is anything from 116/71 ,to 133/77 on the meds , I have stopped taking Losartan for 2 week's now and BP is 136/76 to 149/74 when I go to the docs the readings are always high 162/84 for example. I really can't cope with the pain when taking these tablet's especially in my knees has anyone else experienced this , is there even a tablet for BP that doesn't make you feel ill .I have stopped these but not told the doc yet as can't face being put on another tablet I am feeling so well at the moment I take my BP daily it's usually 140 something over 82 is that really too high for my age.
