If the control line appears does that mean the saliva sample was enough? I took the test but I swabbed fairly quickly the top and bottom of the mouth and now i am doubting if the negative result i got is correct?
View 6 RepliesI went in for my routine physical two days ago and got blood work done. The nurse drawing my blood completely missed my vein and when she stuck the needle in, my arm felt like it was being electrocuted. I waited a few seconds because I thought it would go away but it didn't. She took the needle out after about ten seconds. Anyway, I'm almost positive she hit my nerve. I have a tingling pain that shoots through my arm when I extend it or put it in certain movements. I don't really feel any pain in my hand. When looking at a diagram, it looks like the ulnar nerve is the one she hit.
Anyways, I have read many posts of people not getting better after years, and some getting better after a few weeks. Is there any way to tell how bad mine is? Are they required to pay for any health costs concerning this issue?
Ill be 11 weeks Friday however I keep having to spit is there anyway to stop my mouth from being so wet ? I fill up almost 2 water bottles a day just with saliva it's driving me crazy I feel like a man

View 2 RepliesI usually have this quick production of saliva in my mouth every 2mins and I have to swallow it since i can't spit it out in public :). But when i swallow the saliva, it produces bad breath. If i take a deep breath the same bad breath or if i burp after eating, it produces bad breath. I have tried all types of mouthwash, hydrogen peroxide but no results.
View 1 RepliesI am 29 M, have asthma and suffer with anxiety. Started getting bad asthma 2 months ago when playing football and this continued every time I played/ did exercise. Went to docs after a month and was given seretide preventor. After a week of slightly improved asthma I started getting really bad indigestion, gas, acid reflux. Never had this before so considering my anxiety -I am scared!
Went back to docs last week and he has given me Lansoprazole and sent me for blood test, stool test tomorrow. But the LANs while it has helped with acid, I'm now getting chronic, consistent, persistent mucus, which is driving me to distraction and horrible feeling in my throat just below Adam's apple. I'm convinced there is something drastically wrong with me. My wife thinks it's my anxiety and probably not a serious condition but having never had reflux to then have it ALL the time for 2.5 weeks I'm terrified.
Can anyone offer any help or advice? Has anyone had mucus with LANs? Is 3 days of LANs enough to know whether it is going to work fully or not?
Can someone explain what a 6.7% uptake means in regard to a thyroid scan? I took a radioactive pill 6 hours prior to the scan. Hyperthyroidism is suspected, which was the reason for the scan.

My dr. says there's nothing i can do about it because the location can't be indicated for the inflammation. what do i do now? I need to lose about 30 lbs do you think this will help?

View 9 RepliesI'm a recovering heroin addict. For 7 or 8 Years I used heroin and participated in Many high risk behaviors, mainly sharing of needles and reuse of my own needles. I was tested last week to get on Accutane, and they said my test came back reactive and I had to go for a second test to see if I have the active virus. They also told me my liver enzymes were high. My question is, is with elevated enzymes, is that indicative of active virus? I'm going crazy waiting for results. And is there anything that could've made my levels high besides an active virus? And if I have the active virus, I've had it for at least 3+ years, because I haven't used or participated in that behavior or drank in 3 years, so what will be done to treat it?

The morning after took another one and it also had a faint line I tested again with the next urine and another faint line shown. So I've had three faint line in the last 12 hours. View 1 RepliesI have a swollen lymph node on the right side of my jaw for about 10 months. I finally decided to have it checked out and it was confirmed by a recent ultrasound. Ive no health issues to report other than tmj which I've had for many, many years. No gum, teeth, throat or ear issues. My understanding is this is normally caused by an injury or infection. I do not the remember the last time I was sick or injured as I've been fortunate to enjoy good health the last few years. I'm scheduled for another ultrasound in 6 weeks. Wondering what is causing this and what else I can do?
View 2 RepliesSo I've been circumcised for medical reasons when I was an infant, but I'm realizing recently that my circumcision scar line might be kind of abnormal. It has always been this way, but the scar area is very slightly darker and raised with some bumpiness. It is completely painless. I have never had sex so I don't know how I would've gotten an STI, and like I've said it's been there for as long as I can remember. Please let me know your thoughts/if this is anything I should worry about!
