View 3 RepliesI have a horrendous rash on my feet, upper arms, back and hands. I have been taking Omeprazole for about 6 weeks, and am due to see a consultant in a few days. As no one had mentioned a rash to me, I assumed it was a heat rash, as I have a habit of warming my feet by the fire, but the rash has got much worse, and now I have ENORMOUS blisters on my big toes and small ones elsewhere on my feet and hands. I have phoned the GP surgery as I see this is listed as a possible side effect, and was told to stop taking the omeprazole which I did yesterday. So far there is no improvement, but it is only 24 hours, so I am hoping there will be some improvement very soon. I have also lost my sense of taste and smell which may be due to a bad cold, but I have a very dry mouth and a horrid taste in it when I wake up in the morning. This is also a listed side effect. The doctor I spoke to seemed to think the rash IS due to the omeprazole. Incidentally, I took lapromazole for 2 weeks previously, but it gave me dreadful diarrhoea, so the consultant changed me to omeprazole. I will post another message on here when I have seen the consultant.
View 1 RepliesHas anyone had an upper UTI infection before? - I just got a UTI last night around 1am, burning while peeing, sluggish, etc, but later tonight I started feeling tenderness around my flank area underneath my rib cage, nothing painful, but I can feel it. I'm not sure if that's just natural gas or what. I've been drinking 100% pure cranberry juice for the past 2 hours with lots of water, so I'm wondering if that helps at all?
I get bladder infections quite often. For the last year I've had 6. I get very sick with them. I run a high fever and am in alot of pain. They last for a couple of weeks. I have to take antibiotics for them and worry about having to take so many. Does anyone else experience this problem or have any suggestions?
View 4 RepliesHas anyone else had problems with cystitis/bladder infections when on Warfarin? This is a problem I have never ever experienced previously but for the last few days I seem to have had all the classic symptoms and am wondering if it could be Warfarin-related? I have been taking Warfarin for approx 7 months after a P/E and will be on it for life. My INR is very unstable, (currently 3.4....should be 2.5). A week ago I finished a one week course of antibiotics to try to clear up a chesty cough, (didn't).
View 2 RepliesI am not very old, I'm in my early 20s. I have had multiple bladder infections in the past year and they keep coming. I very much want to have kids at some point; its a big deal to me. Is it a possibility to become infertile due to numerous bladder infections?
Also on a side note, other than the general things like wiping and peeing after sex (Etc) is there any other things that could cause so many?
I have been taking Medrol dose pak almost every 2 to 3 months for back pain. for the past 2 yrs. and it seems each time or around the same time , I get a bladder infection!! it seems i'm always on antibiotics on or right around the same time i am taken the Medrol dose pak is almost finished. coincidence?

I had the bladder sling done and hysterectomy this past june. The doctor told me he did pull the sling tight since I am just 41. I keep having bladder infections every couples weeks or months. What the heck. I don't have insurance now. The scientific method was used on me (sling). I am scared , don't wanna have no more surgeries. Gotta go see the doc tomorrow or Thursday.

View 85 RepliesI'm a 51 year old with two large fibroids 9 and 10 cm diameter . The latter causes me bladder blockage and have suffered with UTis for over two years until diagnosis of fibroids after ultrasound and MRI. I was offered hysterectomy but decided to go for a second opinion and have now been offered UAE. I'm due to have treatment tmrw and thought I would document my experience here for others that might be in a similar position. I've never really had the heavy flows that others experience until recently bleeding for 3/4 weeks but I'm pretty sure this is due to peri menopause symptoms. I do have to self catheterize now as the fibroid has grown rapidly and completely block my urethra. I'm hoping that the fibroids will shrink enough to cease my symptoms and then as I'm about to hit menopause might shrink naturally after. I do have an extended uterus of a 22 week pregnancy so hoping that will eventually go down to. The other fibroid is pedunculated and is not being treated so will see how I go. I've found reading some of these posts has given me courage to make this decision without invasive surgery.
View 40 RepliesHello I am 19 years old I have been suffering with bladder and kidney infections since I was 14. When I fall ill with one I'm very ill it puts in bed for days with terrible pain and fever, I'm young and starting university very soon...I don't know anyone who suffers as bad as me and I struggle to get to the doctors a lot with being a full time student, it's so unbearable and frustrating can anyone help?.
Does any Bronchiectasis sufferers have a continuous burping condition that came along after a year or so of diagnosis please?

View 1 RepliesI've been on implanon and the pills. With both, I experience continuous heavy spotting. I probably don't spit at least one month out the year. Would you recommend a low hormone birth control? I don't understand why I constantly bleed.
View 1 RepliesBoth of my children (19 and 21) left home last Sunday and went to live in the USA. I've been a single parent for 10 years so now I am on my own after 22 years and I feel so desperately lost and worthless like there's no point in me being here anymore, my job is done. I work for myself at home so I don't even go out apart from taking my dog for a walk. I suffer from chronic back pain caused by a sporting injury many years ago for which I take Morphine and on its own I can normally cope with but coupled with this desperately lonely feeling I don't know if I can make it through another day. I've searched the internet for professional help for my situation, but there doesn't seem to be anything available. Should I go and see my GP (who barely knows me) or does anybody have any suggestions? I just feel like a total failure and don't know who to turn to

If you go on Google there are some references to side effects which may apply to you.
I only got a bit of diarrhea ,but this may have been relevant to food.
Can both of these be taken at the same time??It says about not taking oxy with indigestion remedies.
