Had stroke 13 years ago. Have suffered anxiety ever since. Mainly dizziness. Recently came off citalopram after 8 years, started on sertraline. Never felt worse in my life......including severe diarrhea. Dr now stopped sertraline and put me on propranolol one week ago. Still feel awful and dizziness possibly worse. Will anything ever work?

Has anyone else experienced weekly headaches that just seem to last no matter how much sleep you get or water you drink? I also have neck pain in which I have already seen both chiropractor and physical therapist for. When I have these headaches, I feel pressure behind my ways so intense I can't stand bright lights. On top of all this I am dizzy, however, my balance is totally fine. I have already been to an ENT specialist and had an MRI, etc. Only thing I haven't moved onto is a neurologist because I already am racking up my medical bills and yes I have health insurance but a crappy one at that! Please help. Has anyone else been experiencing this and if so, what did you do to rid it?

This just started happening to me about a week ago. I was having intercourse with my girlfriend when I noticed a slight pain in the back of my skull that ran down a muscle into my neck. It wasn't bad so I figured it was random and would go away. Unfortunately, this pain has come back every time I have had sex since. I am curious if this is something serious or not and it will go away in time?

I have a dull pain in my right side of my head. I also have pain under my eye on the same side. The eye is watering and I have an on and off runny nose. The back of my neck is also stuff
I'm worried that it may be a tumour even though I've had an eye scan and the only thing wrong was a blurry pupil. (I had the scan after a big migraine on the right side)

I've been getting neck pain for some time and over the past 6 months or so it has become considerably worse. I get the usual pain at the back of the head, moving to the front. The change has been noticeable with nausea, dizziness and bed-ridden for usually 2 - 3 days at a time. Pain killers (over the shelf are not doing much for me) the sickness means that fluids and solids do not stay in for long and sleeping is out of the window.
Off tomorrow for a MRI scan hoping that this is going to shed some light on the problem and hopefully a diagnosis that makes sense.

I'm a teen girl, and for about a week I've been getting weird chest and upper back pains and even my neck (like a burning sensation sometimes). Everything in the left side. I went to the doctor and he said that it was costochondritis, but now i've been getting a weird feeling in my head, like a heavy feeling and sometimes headache. I convinced myself that I had a brain tumor because a few months ago a friend if my mom died because of that. I don't know the symptoms of a brain tumor and I'm afraid that if I google them what I have is a part of those symptoms.
I read that it might be because I'm anxious. I am constantly anxious at school and since the chest pains started the only thing that I can think of is that I am going to die. I really need to know if something is wrong with me. I've been to the doctor 3 times this week and he always says the same, but I don't know what to think. My dad told me that I should stop thinking about it but it constantly happens and I can't stop thinking about it.

So I suffer from anxiety. I have not been that anxious. A few days ago I was walking and randomly I got this jolt like shock in my neck and on the side of my head. Ever since then I have had a little pain there and if I turn my head sometimes it does the same thing, It feels like a shock wave and twitch in my head and neck but it is just on one side. Can anxiety cause this?

Just joined and recently diagnosed with RRMS.
I am going out of my mind with worry over some unpleasant symptoms I have been having the last six days.
It started with stiffness in the right side of my neck and at the back of my head, similar to a tension headache but more severe. I have intermittent pain in my right ear, occasional muffled hearing, my neck feels sore to touch, especially at the gland. When I lie down or lean forward/bend over, I have a whooshing sensation in my ears like I can hear the blood pumping.
I have felt dizzy and unsteady at times with waves of nausea.
As I have had no follow up since being diagnosed by the Consultant and have not had an appointment to see an MS nurse yet, I consulted some online MS sites to try and make sense of the symptoms. I thought I may have a muscle spasm and mentioned it to my GP when I saw her on Friday. I was 'told off' for Googling symptoms and told to "stop trying to hang everything on MS".
She ruled out an ear infection or virus and said it was more muscular, however, poo-poo'd a spasm and said it was more likely it was muscular tension following the diagnosis, worrying and getting myself worked up.
It is a different pain to the tension I am used to and tension has never caused me to feel off balance and nauseous. I was given a five day course of diazepam to relax the muscles, however, have only taken one at bedtime on 3 occasions as I need to be able to drive and function at work. They haven't helped particularly.
I was given a 5 day course of Methylprednisolone, 500 mg by the consultant, for neuropathic pain, I finished these last weekend (26th June). A friend who has RRMS suggested it could be side effects of the steroids as her neck and face always swell after she has taken a course and she feels unwell for weeks afterwards.
I am finding it really difficult to function, I just want to lie down all the time and can't get anything done. It's causing me massive anxiety not knowing what is causing this.

I've been having a hard time with neck pain, I'm guessing in my C1-C2 region. I say this because I can literally hear my vertebrates grinding together followed by a sharp pain that runs all the way to my temple and the top of my head, which in turn is causing severe migraines and fatigue. It's gotten to the point where I'll be lucky if one migraine only lasts 3 days. After it goes away, it returns 3-4 days later. It's gotten extremely worse over the past month. I've tried a few physical therapy exercises the relieve the tension but I've found little to no relief. I'm baffled because I'm only 23. Being this young shouldn't suggest long term damage, but the pain tells me otherwise. Any advice or information on some form of release would be more appreciated than anything.

Started over a year ago with head pressure in back of head and upper neck causing nausea and dizziness. The symptoms also come with neck soreness and stiffness. Sometime it's a burning pain up the neck to where it connects to brain and radiates to forehead. It's so miserable. I have had sinus ct scans, Mri, mra, and tons of blood work and can't find nothing. The weirdest symptom I get and want to find someone with insight on is that during this my top of head and neck get ice cold to touch.

For the past year I have experienced mild to severe head and neck pain only on right side. What would cause it and can I get rid of it completely? Some things help but it always comes back. I have not had any injury to my knowledge if so it was due to possible moving wrong or something. I can relieve the pain slightly by pushing my head down and to the left with my left hand. It's really bad if I cough or sneeze. If I massage the indentation on the right of spine on neck at base of skull it helps a little. A chiropractor has helped as well as using a water pillow but the pain eventually comes back.

I was a raving hypochondriac, have suffered cs for 5 years, had mr scans,ct scans, myelograms and lumbar punctures, see my specialist regularly and just given different medication,vi suffer neck pain, headaches, numbness in arms and hands, but also have severe numbness in legs and feet,my hands and feet are permanently icy while the rest of my body burns up,feel permanently dizzy and nauseous,i have vision problems and incontinence problems, for past few months i have got steadily worse and not able to walk more than few yards, and cant get outdoors without aid of wheelchair,as pain in my joints and muscles is so bad,the nerves that are trapped have moved down my spine which is causing the leg pain,i have seen 3 specialists and a professor of m.s,i have meltdowns every so often as i always have been so active and cs can just bring you to your knees,i find that the specialists i see seem to think i am neurotic,i asked him to have my pain for a week and then come back and tell me how he feels...i feel people just don't understand how debilitating cs is and because outwardly you look ok and you do your hair and put some slap on your face, but walk a mile in my shoes when at 3am im walking the floor counting the hours till can have another pain killer,my last visit to my specialist i was given morphine patches, but suffering from ibs and gall stones was warned by my doctor that they would have adverse effects and they were so addictive.

I've been having those 3 symptoms for about 2 months now. I'm a 22yo male, 6 feet tall, 160 lbs.
The head pressure was the first to show up. It feels like if someone is pressing their palm against the top of my head, its very light and 80% its not bad or painful, its just -there-, but sometimes the pressure rises up and it can be quite overwhelming, making me having to stop whatever I'm doing.
Painkillers used to work, now they don't anymore, although I think it's because I started to use them way too much.
Since about 2 weeks ago, I started to have dizziness and head fog. It's like if I'm "typsy" all the time.
This all started a few months after I had to quit my job since I'm preparing myself to live in another country, I'm short on cash and I have arguments about various things related to that almost daily, making me think that this might be an anxiety issue.
3 days ago I had to go to the hospital because my BP spiked up (180/104), and since then the pressure/head fog became 10x worse. I keep catching myself hyperventilating throughout the day, having cold sweats and hot flashes.
Thoughts keep racing in my head that I have a brain tumor and how that would wreck my life even if its a benign one.
Something that makes me feel better is that I'm not having any seizures, nose bleeds or actual real bad headache, its just a weird pressure, which calms me down a bit at the possibility that its a tumor.
Also, sleeping is the only thing that makes the pressure/dizziness go away, although it gets bad again throughout the day. Today I've tried to oversleep a bit to see if it was a sleep deprivation issue and it made the pressure better but the dizziness way worse.
I've already scheduled a cardiologist/neurologist, but I can only go friday so I still have some days to worry myself to death over this.

Hiya for the last 7 months I have experienced visual problems and hearing loss that make me feel dissociated/depersonalized (out of it) 24/7 and I am unable to function and unable to concentrate. I get a lot of pain in my back shoulders and neck, and a lot of pressure in my face head eyes and neck, that radiates to my entire body and makes me extremely fatigued. these are the main symptoms that are bothering me the biggest one being "this out of it" feeling! does anyone else experience this?

I feel dizzy and have swollen lymph nodes on my neck all the way back along my jaw and along the right side of my neck there is just a line of swollen tissue and well as on the back of my head. this has been going on for a couple months and I just found out I have a bladder infection. Could this all just be from the bladder infection?
