I'm 19 years old, got my period at 11, I've normally have had (every single time) semi-heavy blood flow, but this time, my period is late & I'm spotting, no period, just spotting, why?

View 1 RepliesMy last period was 10/1. I had cramping, sore breasts, and irritability leading up to what should have been my next period on 10/29, but to my surprise NO PERIOD! Having had three children already I know what the standard meaning of 'no period' is, but I had a tubal ligation 12 years ago so this puts a twist on the 'standard' meaning. I purchased a 3 pack of First Response pregnancy tests to put my mind at ease, but hella good that did, they were all negative! A week after my expected period I had light spotting and was relieved thinking I had just over reacted and the spotting would soon turn into a heavy flow, but the spotting was just that, spotting...now two weeks later I'm still with no period, heavy breasts, and all the other classic pregnancy symptoms. Has anyone else gone through this and if so what was your outcome?
View 3 RepliesI was supposed to start my period the 26th. On the 23rd I had a spot of blood when I went to the bathroom and didn't spot anymore after that. Yesterday (the 2nd) I started what I thought was my period but it was brown/black lumpy blood, enough to go thru a few tampons and it ended today (the 3rd). My periods are always regular and I've never had brown/black blood before. My husband and I have been trying for a year. Has anybody else had symptoms like this and what was the outcome?

View 1 RepliesMy last period was 12/12/2015. I have been using period tracker app since August to track my periods and ovulation. I ovulated on 12/26/2015. My fiance and I dtd on the day I was ovulating as well as a few other times. My period was due 1/9/2016 but I missed it. I am 3 days late. On the day my period was due when I went to the bathroom and wiped there was a tiny pink dot and a tiny brown dot and that was it. In the following two days there was nothing. At the end of day three of my missed period I had a little more spotting but not enough for a tampon and it wasn't enough to worry about staining my pants or underwear. Early morning of what would be the 4th day of my missed period I am period cramps. But when I went to the bathroom there was a couple of stains on my bed pants but no blood clots and it is pink not red. I took some Midol and the cramps are better now but I am so confused on what is going on. Anyone else experience this or can shed some light.
View 3 RepliesWent on Levlen 9 months ago after breastfeeding my 2nd child. Since being on it have had very light bleeding, brown discharge and light cramping in between periods every month. It usually happens when I have been taking the active tablets for 2 weeks and lasts a day or 2. Mostly only see it when wiping.
Had a pap smear approx 6 months ago. Also had ovarian ultrasound around the same time for anther issue which was clear. Recently have also had a blood test and thyroid etc is fine. However I am concerned why this is happening. I have been on levlen many times in the past and its never happened before. I have also never had any issues with my period and am always very regular.
I'm starting to get worried and can't get into my regular dr until late jan as she is on holidays.
Does this sound serious or is there a reason it may be occurring?
My period is normally a 28 day cycle and it last 7 days. normally it would come on on the 28 of every month. well this year back in march it started switching around and every month it would come on on a earlier day in each month but it would always be a different day. well today is july 29 and this month my period came on on the 1st and went off on the 7th. i started spotting on the 14 and it lasted for two days. at first it was light pink and i have never spotted in my life, but then that 2nd day it was brown when it was stopped. now, i am spotting again today and cramping really bad and has been feeling sick lately and i have had heartburn for a whole week now.

Then this spotting started on the first day of my ovulation May 29, exactly 14 days after my 1st day period may 15. from spotting it went to slight bleeding (I thought it would stop, enough to fill a panty liner). I
t is already June 10 as I'm writing this and still spotting a little though(still have those brown discharges).
I'm expecting my period tomorrow. I wish and hope its implantation or breakthrough bleeding but I am more "worried".

i had my first day of my period last august 18 then a week after i started to have dark brown spotting and dark red or like maroon light bleeding for 3 days then this September 12 i noticed a dark red that turns brown spotting on my liner and dark red light bleeding 2 days before my period is due that is September 14,on that day i think i had my period because it became heavy like my first day of period im scared whats happening to me.

I seem to be having an extra long cycle , I am currently on day 33(my average is 28-29). My last period was on November 21st and I was supposed to ovulate on Saturday December 5th (I had red spotting Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ) and then more red spotting on Monday the 14th... I have been under some stress as December was finals month. I have also had pain on my left side where my ovary would be. ...what do you all think is causing the delay in my period ? Is this hormonal? Is it a cyst ? Stress? BTW I didn't have vaginal sex during ovulation only oral and minimal fingering.

View 1 RepliesSo I have a question about taking the pill half an hour late. Is it normal to get anywhere from spotting to your actual period a few days after taking the pill half an hour late?
I'm 20 and have been on the pill since 14. I've tried YAZ (the best by far but not covered by health care) and a few others, currently on the generic brand of Levlen Ed.
Only recently, say the last 1 - 2 years I have noticed that my body is working almost like clockwork when it comes to taking the pill. If I take it anywhere from even just 15min late (though typically occurs from half an hour late), I will undoubtedly get spotting or even my period a few days later.
I cannot find anyone on internet forums who experiences the same. A couple of hours maybe but not to this extent. Most women say they can take theirs hours apart with no effect.
My question is, is this normal and why has it only been the last few years? My body used to work just fine with the pill.
I lost my virginity at valentine's day with my boyfriend without using condom but he is 100% sure he did not put anything in. My period supposed to arrive at 17th February but because i lost my virginity few days before that i think that affected it. But it is 7th March now and i am still not on my period however my belly hurts down at the bottom since 2-3 days (like it always hurts few days before i'm getting my menstruation). I am really scared of that thing which comes before sperm and that contains a small percent of sperm too.
