View 69 RepliesI am 62 with Multiple Sclerosis. and it was boggling my mind that the legs were aching and pain just like i had just run 17 - 100 metre dashes.Thought it was MS but it just did not make sense(after 35 years i know my MS)...and then I had two days of Heartburn like a Volcano and found this Forum and read about Heartburn problems and Muscles Aching.
My question --- does anybody know absolutely for sure that there travelling aches and pains in their muscles are from Menopause-- I had to stop exercising as my legs were so sore....I do recognize after 8 years of exercise it is the key for a low maintenance menopause
Good evening ladies, a strange question I know but it's really bothering me so much I couldn't work this afternoon and getting myself in a right old pickle about it. Along with all the other horrid things happening right now my cheekbones are really aching and I acts not through laughing either ! I rang my mum and she said she remembered her face changing when she was going through it and told me not to worry, but I am........for god's sake I think every part of my body has had some sort of ache and pain and now my face. So of course i've been staring in the mirror and anxiety high right now , so sick of it all - has anyone else had anything similar ?
View 33 RepliesI am a 43 year old male and have been experiencing knee pain for about 5 months now. I didn't really notice something was wrong until December last year when I started going on long country walks and after walking a mile or two, a mild pain started to develop in my right knee, which gradually got worse the more I walked. I would say the pain feels like it's coming from under the kneecap close to the surface of the skin. It's definitely not coming from within the knee bone. I find after sitting down the pain eventually goes away. I can walk fine and don't have any other pain in either knee in general day to day activities. It's only when I start walking long distances that the pain in my right knee comes on. My health in general is good and don't suffer from any health issues. I wanted to see if the knee would improve over the 5 months or go back to normal but it hasn't and has stayed the same since December. Could anyone give me an idea what might be causing this? I have not seen a doctor yet but will now make an appointment first thing Monday morning.
View 1 RepliesI was prescribed metronidazole 200mg for a tooth infection, yesterday. I took 1 tablet as prescribed with a glass of water and food at lunchtime. Soon afterwards I felt confused and slightly dizzy, cheeks flushed. After work, approx 3 hours later I was frozen and aching all over - like a bad dose of flu, couldn't keep awake, kept getting stabbing chest pains, my back and legs were and still are very painful - keep taking paracetamol to ease the pain. I have quite severe head and neck ache and have no appetite. Have a dry mouth and have been drinking lots of water. As for the toothache - that seems to be the least of my worries. At the moment I feel very washed out and weak. The Dentist has given me a different prescription and can't understand the symptoms I have described. It is now 24 hours since taking tablet and I am now feeling a bit better.
View 1 RepliesI am 58 years old and very late going through menopause. I still have had a very light period about once every 10 months, so not the true 12 months to be considered through menopause.
A day or two ago I had some very light spotting. Thankfully wore a pantishield. Last night without warning or feeling, I had a burst of blood that filled the pantishield along with some pain by my right ovary. That was the end of the blood, just a very little light spotting today.
Does anyone use epsom salt that you put in the bath i am thinking of trying it my legs ache most of the time.

View 14 RepliesTook Binosto (similar to Fosamax) for a few months beginning this past December. Was feeling well at that time. Since then, began experiencing terrible lower back pain, gas, lower left ab pain and have had a cough for a few weeks. I think that sums it up. Went to my doctor and told her everything. She checked me out. We decided to stop the Binosto thinking it could be causing these symptoms (don't know about the cough, though). She said to give it two weeks to get out of my system. It's been two weeks now and I still feel like crap! Could it take longer than two weeks to feel better? Maybe a month? Two? Do you think it could be the Binosto? I was feeling fine before starting it!
View 1 RepliesThree weeks ago, to my great surprise, I started to bleed after one year. The 2-3 weeks preceding this, my breasts were so sore, I was bloated and I has the typical "stringy" discharge that I used to get before my period. I was really not expecting another period but the bleeding was heavy and lasted for just over a week.
I saw my doctor a few days ago and she that she is obliged to send me for an ultrasound and possible biopsy if the lining looks thick. She said she is not worried but I am freaking out.
Can anyone share a similar experience? I read on one website that it is actually possible to ovulate and have a period after you stop menstruating for a year. I have not had any spotting - just this one "period". Of course, everything I have read says how abnormal it is to bleed after menopause and now I'm scared that there is something serious going on. My ultrasound is booked for two days from now.

My periods are starting to range from 30-45 days but I've yet to skip a month. My husband and I were considering trying one last time to have another baby. Very confused
View 2 RepliesI am a 34 male with no family history of cardiac issues. I quit smoking 6 years ago. Recently, when running in had a discomfort right in the bottom, between my ribs. My left arm also aches, though the pain varies with position. I took a echo stress test in Jan 2015 and passed with flying colors. Also my most recent cholesterol were as follows: total cholesterol 181, HDL 41, LDL 108 and triglycerides 130. My BMI is 22.3. What are the chances, it can it be angina ?
