Has anyone with Lyme had eye symptoms.. sensitivity to light blurry vision. floaters..similar to a static television set images..if so can you tell me when your issues started to resolve and what treatments were used for this particular symptoms.

View 2 RepliesI was diagnosed with epilepsy about a year ago. I have for the past 3 year had strange eye sight. When i spoke with my neurologist she had never heard of it before. The only way that i can describe it is the vision you get after about 2-3 pints. I have been to the opticians and my eyes are perfectly fine. It is worse when i am outside and can make me feel dizzy and light weighted. Any advise would be appreciated. It makes me not want to go out.
View 1 RepliesI found a tick on my leg and it was not fully engorged and was able to fully remove The body with tweezers(stored tick in refrigerator with damp towel) and dumped rubbing alcohol on the bite site. Later that day there was a very small dark bruise like spot where the bite was, which I assumed was normal. next day early afternoon I realized it was red around the bite(small bruise spot still there) with a red ring on the outside, a little more red on the outside ring part but this was smaller than an American dime coin which is pretty small. I guess I should mention first, on the day of the tick removal I called my general practice doc over the phone and got prescribed doxycycline hyclate 100mg 2x a day for 14 days and started taking it the next day when I saw this redness. i have a pic if I can share?another thing to note is 1-2 days later the outer ring faded and is gone and now shows new very little amount of light bruising on the outer part.I had scheduled an appointment with my doc and showed pics showing this development and she told me she thought it was normal and not the notorious "bullseye" and said it was most likely irritation from dumping alcohol on the bite and was a normal reaction to bite. I am skeptical can the lyme rash be that small? she insisted it would be bigger I wish I could share pic are my chances good with this course of antibiotics I've read there are higher and/or longer doses people get.
View 5 RepliesMy 15 year old daughter has bn suffering from dizziness blurry vision for nearly 2 months now & has missed a lot of school & is affecting her grades she has days where she just loses her balance every so often each day then there's days where i have 2 help her walk or she holds on benches things she has slowly fallen back on 2 the floor numerous times she has had a ct scan mri test blood test u name it but the doctors have found nothing the doctor said just persist with it she will slowly come good but it hasn't changed in 2 months...
View 44 RepliesI am on day 3 of detox off of Vicodin. Yesterday my vision was fine, today I can't see anything. I can barely read the computer screen. Very blurry! It is really freaking me out. I do not have vision problems normally, I do not even wear glasses.
View 19 RepliesWell my doctors have said I am showing signs of preeclampsia and im 38w3d with a baby boy I keep having really bad headaches and spotty/blurry vision I also am very swollen have very high blood pressure and have a bunch of protein in my urine went to the emergency room last night because I couldn't manage the pain anymore and they did my blood pressure 6 times and it was really high each time then they checked my swelling told me i need to be put on bed rest and do a 24 hour urine collection ... im scared im only18 and i've changed and grew up so much for my son my sister almost died from preeclampsia I don't want my son to have anything wrong with him because they are stalling to deliver him and I don't want to have to choose my life or his life I wish they would do something and do it fast im in so much pain on a scale of 0-10im about a 20 someone please give me advice should I call the other local hospital and ask for a second opinion?

My left eye started watering really bad last Wednesday, by the Friday the white of my eye was blood red, I arranged a visit to the GP who gave me chloramphenicol eye drops and if it got any worse to take myself to our local eye hospital. By the Sunday my eye was so painful, watering, bright red and light sensitive. I ended up visiting the eye hospital to be advised that I had an ulcer on my cornea. This us down to a viral infection, I was given antiviral eye ointment to put in 5 times a day for 10 days. The doc said due to my job I would probably need 2-3 days off.
I have been off 3 days now and although the pain and redness has calmed down, my eye is very sensitive to light and my sight is still blurry.
has anyone else suffered this please and how long did it take to recover and the eye to feel normal?
I got a corneal ulcer around 1 month ago due to contact lenses. The bacteria was pseudomonas, they told me its very dangerous because it releases enzymes that melt the cornea. It all started one night when I felt like something was in my eye and it hurt like crazy. I didn't get any sleep and in the morning I went to the hospital. They started me on vigamox every 30mins. I saw them the next day and said it antibiotic wasn't effective, so I was on tobramycin and another one(forgot the name) for the first week I went to the hospital everyday. After that every 2days. They said there was a 5%melt of my cornea and I might have permanent blurred vision. It's been a month now, the ulcer is gone but as expended it left a scar. My vision is blurry but the doctor said considering the size and place of the scar(middle of my line of vision) my vision is pretty good. Has anyone experienced this before? I'm not on steroids, should I be? I'm just on artificial tears now. Will my vision get better? My next appointment is next week so I will ask them what my options are with my vision.
View 1 RepliesI have damage to my heart from chemotherapy I had as a child and it is progressing and I have now been put on Lisinopril to try to help keep it from worsening any further or as quickly. I do not have high BP (my BP tends to run normal to a little low if anything). I started on Lisinopril Wed. night and Saturday morning I went grocery shopping & while pushing the cart and walking I got extremely light headed, a little dizzy, & my vision went a little blurry, I thought I was going to pass out. I ended up having to stop and sit down for a few minutes. I was able to complete my shopping but had to stop several times throughout due to the sudden light headed feeling coming back. I have never had this happen before and I don't know if my body just needs to adjust to the Lisinopril or if it is lowering my BP too much and causing these issues. Do I just need to let my body adjust or do I need to call doc & get back off of it.

View 1 RepliesSuddenly today I noticed that I seemed to have a film over my right eye and I was experiencing floaters. I had multifocal lens replacement surgery a couple years ago. Everything went well. It was the best thing I had done. I wore glasses since I about 7. I had a couple small floaters before the surgery but only saw them now and then. I had put some oil on my face earlier today and was wondering if some had gotten into my eye , would it have caused this to happen? I put saline drops in my eye and visine thinking this may have been the cause. trying to rinse out my eye. It did not help and am getting worried that something may be wrong. What worries me is that it came on sort of fast and has been the same all day. I also have been under a lot of stress lately, working long hours. Would really like some advice on what to do.

View 1 RepliesI am just recovering from shingles. I have never felt so ill in all my life or been so tired. I have been left with intermittent pain in my hairline where the blisters were and also in my eye. It seems to come on every afternoon and last all night. My eye waters and I have developed floaters and blurred vision. I have tried paracetamol which helps with the pain but not with the sensitivity to light and blurred vision.I go to bed with a cold damp flannel but it doesn't seem to help much, my scalp also itches unbearably.
View 1 RepliesI've been doing a lot of reading about black spots in vision and the term 'floaters' doesn't seem to apply in my case. I first noticed it a week or so ago when I was reading on Kindle. There is a black spot that is constant, in my left eye, its small and I can see it pretty much all the time if reading at the right angle I can use it almost like a pointer moving it along the line of text I'm reading. I've also had blurred vision but I put that down to tiredness from reading from electronic device. I've also noticed a 'cobweb' like line in my other eye that again is constant. I'm booked in for an eye test but its not for a while I'm starting to get bit worried.
View 14 RepliesOk so i have this weird problem with my eyes. Randomly (happened a lot when a year ago but stopped until now) i start seeing distorted lines. Kind of like millions of tiny prisms are rotating in a line. The lines often start in the center of my vision (making it hard to read) then migrate to cover the left or right side of my vision (but no longer the center)
It appears to be transparent but it is actually not due to the flashing of colours all over it.
They often take shapes but they seem abstract and are hard to focus on. Kind of like a multicolored distortion prism floater (the lines that you can see floating sometimes) although it grows to cover ~30% of my vision.
The "distortion" often stays visible (or moves out of sight) between 20 minutes and 3 hours.
I have not discovered any trigger for this "distortion"
I came across this syndrome when searching the Internet about extreme pain I have when I take the first bite EVERY time I eat and sometimes drink. That this could be a symptom of this syndrome but I don't know. I do have some of the other symptoms, i.e. neuropathy, blurry vision, muscle pain, fatigue but these can also be associated with Type 1 Diabetes which I have. Also, came across parotid/salivary glands are affected which also can cause the jaw to ear pain I'm having. Has anyone heard that the Coxsackie virus can have anything to do with it? How do you know for sure if it is Sjogren's and what type of doctor do you see about it - a primary?

View 8 RepliesI have had a number of symptoms starting 6 months ago and have progressively got worse ever since! I've had MRI - normal, thyroid test - normal, neurologist tools lots of blood test looking for inflammation and tested for Lupus - all normal! He's now sending me for a lip biopsy! Here are my symptoms -
- Persistent swollen glands in throat (lots) - all reactive according to ENT
- thyroid nodules
- neuropathy
- Eustachian tube dysfunction (& muffled hearing)
- visual snow with all the trimmings (photosensitivity, increasing floaters etc)
- itching skin
- dull toothache
- tinnitus
- thinning skin (veins very noticeable and bulge)
- tickly throat and dry cough
- thick phlegm at back of nose
- occasional dry eyes
- ear ache
- muscle aches and pains
- joint pain
- on / off mild fevers
- tiny pin prick like spots on torso, arms, thighs
- blotchy skin
- pigmentation in skin (dark around mouth and nose and blotches in other parts of body)
- skin dents very easily / shiny palms / stretchy skin
- constant clearing of throat
- spaced out feeling
-dizziness and vertigo
- headaches
- stiff and aching neck and back
- random skin rashes that come and go but chest is red and blanches
- cold hands and feet
- shivers (get goosebumps all over body for no reason)
- Fingertips sometimes turn blue
- brain fog
- fatigue
- wart like tiny blister looking spots on palms and palms look extra wrinkled and shiny
- joint cracking especially neck
- night sweats (at the beginning, occasional now)
- constant buzzing feeling all over body
- can see heartbeat through clothes / palpitations
These a few more things but I won't bore you all with more!!
Anyone else with lyme had these symptoms? The most concerning is the vision and hearing which really concerns me! Can I have Sjogrens when all my bloods are fine?

Doctor suggested I do not take vits b,c,e,multi or other typical antioxidants while on Plaquenil and Biaxin for my Lyme. Something to do with the environment needing to be oxidized to kill the spirochetes... (i think)
I've had lyme many years (misdiagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) so the little buggers are in their protected cyst and other forms. I start on above drugs tomorrow.
