Lips Augmented With Silicone Microdroplet Technique
Jan 31, 2015
I had my lips augmented with the Silikon-1000. I had one treatment and the Dr. didn't even use full amount for both lips but I feel things are turning for worse...recently the silicone seems to be forming a bigger lump on my upper lip on the left side. I notice it now in pictures and videos of myself. Especially smiling and talking. Not too bad when I have a closed smile or closed mouth. A little worried it'll just get worse. Do you know if there is anyway to surgically remove just the one lump and not affect the rest of my lips? Or do you think that may be too risky?
I contacted him for his opinion and he suggested to inject the steroid in there, but I have also read very bad things about that stuff and how it can make things even worse. I think perhaps my lump was always there but almost 2 years after injections I have noticed it more...maybe the collagen around it increased a little bit. My mouth is just really asymmetrical and unbalanced and I fear people are going to hyper focus on it and judge me. I wanted a subtle natural result and lately is not looking like one.
Ugh, it's terrible, as much as I like more lip volume I hate the imbalance soooo much! I've had social anxiety and body dysmorphic symptoms for ages and this issue is really just too hard for me to deal with on top of those things....I'm always worried that not only I'm going to say something wrong out of nervousness people are focusing on my mouth when I talk. My pupils are two diff sizes due to an accident but now I don't even worry about that like I used to. I'm clueless about how to proceed and also I can't talk about this sort of thing with husband bc I don't him then focusing in too much as well. He already hates that I got the treatment in the first place since I came back n surprised him with it two years ago now.

I know I am not sitting properly at the computer and it must be affecting my hip. Am 5 1/2 weeks post-op.
Have been thinking about when my daughter was in her teens and playing viola at an elite school. She got some tendonitis and went to Alexander Technique. One of the things the guy taught her was how to "sit on your sit bones".
It made me think it might be worthwhile exploring as a post-op therapy. Just wondering if anyone has tried it...

It's supposed to be a special breathing technique and I tried it and it really did relax me. He says you are creating a "energy circuit" when putting your tongue against the roof of your mouth. Can someone explain in further detail, this interests me majorly...

When my husband was two years old, his testicular sac was full of fluid and was not draining so the doctor did a bilateral hernia repair. After being looked at he was told that he could not have kids due to the repair. Is it possible to get pregnant using some type of sperm extraction techniques...?

Have done some shorter stints of CBT/psychotherapy for depression and anxiety in the past which really helped at the time but never really found I got to "get to the root of my problem" and shift it permanently. At the moment, I am not overly depressed or anxious but I felt that perhaps some EFT or even hypnotherapy could help me deal with some underlying recurrent insecurities.
Just a little apprehensive because of the lack of evidence regarding the effectiveness of this technique so I wondered if anyone has ever tried EFT or hypnotherapy and could advise/give a little insight into how effective/not effective they felt it was?

My lips, and the area around my lips have been really dry. Here are some of the problems with it:
Small dots appear below, and above my lips
White spots appear around lips
The lips, and the area around it are really dry, and sometimes red
Whenever I take a shower, after the shower, my lips are dry.
It's been happening for a long time now. My doctor said I have to drink more water, and I've been drinking 4 water bottles a day for the longest time.
I've tried chapstick, Neosporin, vaseline, and burt's bee.

I started these three weeks ago. Within three days I had the most horrendous dry mouth, sore lips and had trouble swallowing. I also got a vile taste in my mouth. Stopped them and within a few days that got better. Started them again two days and ago and the horrid symptoms have all come back again. Anyone else had problems like this with it?

I have been getting really bad lips recently(they are normally white and not ew) not sure if its because of my medication or what not, but I have tried lip scrub and several lip balms and before I go to bed my lips look normal its only in the morning and day.
Anyway, someone told me to try taking multivitamins, I may have a vitamin issue; my issue is are they ok to take? I am talking about the Seven Seas Complete Multivitamins for Adults. I have spoken to a pharmacist and she has said they will not interfere with my current medication. Or any advice on my lips?

After 2.5 days taking Trimethoprim my tongue & lips swelled up with so many blisters and mouth ulcers, felt really rotten with a fever... Face swelled up with red blotches - looked like a hamster! Unexplained painful red blotch on left hand.. went to a clinic on Boxing Day - Doctor said lucky I could still breathe properly!!! took antihistamines - not much improvement, dosed up with Paracetamol, Difflam spray and Daktarin mouth gel. Still can't eat properly 6 days later!
DO THESE DRUGS NOT GET TESTED PROPERLY??? - Just read that it is a derivative of a Chemotherapy drug... who wants to take this further? ...

since yesterday night I started feeling an extreme dry burning sensation on the left upper lip starting. To be precise exactly above the point where the lower lip and upper lip join. It looks like a small white spot. No redness but feels like burning sensation. Even after applying vaseline aloe Vera lip balm the burning sensation is still there. I am very scared . Could it be cold sore . I am 30 years old and I have never had cold sore in my life.

I was wondering if someone could help! About a month ago I was at home alone. My mouth started to burn really bad I wanted to rip my teeth out it was burning that much, my lips swelled and the burning slowly travelled down my body! It was under my arms my bust then travelled to my stomach and down to the back of my knees. I then went all funny and felt like I was going to collapse, and felt really sick. This lasted about 40 mins I also had a red rash that went away after the 40 mins that looked like bites. I went to my GP but he just looked at me like I was a hypochondriac and had gone mad! This has happened again tonight whilst at work. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

It's been about 2 weeks that my mouth, tongue and lips are burning. No fever and nor runny nose. No coughing, headaches, and any other symptoms.
Today I saw my pharynx and found some red small scratches. I also feel some phlegm coming down from the nose to the throat.
I took a tablespoon of honey and I felt relief.
I'm experiencing a anxiety crisis and I'm wondering whether it could be due to that.
Can you guys give me some orientation?
