Kidney Stone Of 7mm (uric Acid Stone)
Oct 30, 2015
I am 27 yr. male and I had a Kidney stone in May-2015, I got treatment by an urologist who supplied me medication so that the stone could pass out thru ureter but when X-ray and IVP done after 2 months medication the position of stone was above 20-25mm of bladder and it got stuck there due to its large size. Doctor then advised me to remove it thru ureteroscopy. But my parents were little bit worried about surgery. So we contacted one homeopathic doctor who gave me some homeopathic tablets and also advice to take juice of one herb root. I had done that also but still it pains during urine. So pls. advice me some perfect solution on that. Stone is of 7mm in size (uric acid stone) and its already 6 months has been passed while I am treating on that.

My husband had a kidney stone removed November 2015. It was extremely large and dense. The surgeon was only able to blast 1/2 of stone, and a second procedure was scheduled. In the interim, his bladder stopped working. We are not sure if it was a pre-existing condition due to his Type 2 Diabetes. He is 6'1 and currently weighing 165. He is not a heavy man, and his Diabetes diagnose was only discovered from a Life Insurance test. He has had it for 15 years. After an stone attack in July, he knew it was time to finally attend to this stone. His urologist had been telling him for a very long time that he had an enlarged prostate and was also retaining urine after he emptied his bladder. As I said, he was told these issues, but life was "too busy" for him to take care of it.
Subsequently after the attack, he sought a second opinion. This new surgeon (very prestigious surgeon) told me husband his prostate was not enlarged. "Music to his ears!" after years of being told it was, even though he had all the symptoms of enlarged prostate. You tell a man that, there's no looking back. He also did an ultrasound at initial consultation, and he said his bladder was empty. That was it!! Surgery was scheduled. I'm not even sure if they read his records that were sent over from his previous urologist. Seventy-seven days later, my husband has been catheterized. The second 1/2 of stone was removed, the stent removed, and he spent two days in hospital recovering after second surgery and experiencing extreme pain with bladder spasms. He has had the bladder test, and nothing. We have removed catheter weekly, wait, and then the pain is so severe, he needs to be catheterized immediately. Last time his bladder had 1400cc from 9:00am to 1:00pm. I had to rush him down to Dr.'s office. My husband is 57. He's a young guy still, and I am afraid he will never get full function of his bladder. He will begin self-catheterization next week, and we will be looking into another specialist in the city. He has suffered from spasms, UTI's, weight loss, and I feel helpless.

I have had kidney stones since 2011- I am a 18yr old female. They began when I started a fairly intense training program for a varsity track team in Tucson's 110 degree heat. I currently see a Urologist, have had litho and endo, and have not been able to determine why the stones form in the first place. Since I have had stones I have never been able to figure out a pattern- sometimes I go a few months before passing one, sometimes a few weeks. Does anyone know what induces the stone to drop into the ureter? I work extremely hard to remain hydrated, but I am also subject to the heat all the time. I am also very active; I compete in upper level show jumping, run 5x per week, swim, and lift weights. I currently have several stones in both kidneys and would love to be able to gauge if/when they may drop, and what causes said movement.

I went for a CT for something completely irrelevant, and when I got the report I was shocked. I have a 2-3mm stone within the superior pole of my right kidney and a 3mm stone within the inferior pole of my left kidney. I have NEVER had stones (to my knowledge), and have absolutely no symptoms of kidney stones. Anyone know how I should react to this? The doctor that will be following up is a spine surgeon, so I highly doubt he'll explain what to do about the stones.

My mother has only 1 kidney - she had a kidney removed in 1983. Lately she did a blood test and her uric acid (serum) was found to be high.
We are worried that her kidney might be failing. Can we have your insight please?

Has anybody tried either of these diets and if so can you please tell us what if any success you had in relation to the symptoms of LS?
If you had improvements , how long did you follow which diet for and were you strict about what you ate of did you make occasional lapses to "forbidden" foods?
I would like to know as I am following the Seignalet ( stone age, similar to paleo ) diet with no great improvements and am being urged to keep it up till I have been on it for fifteen months as it can take that long to send it into remission.

After Prostate scraping and kidney stone removal 2 months ago, I am self cathing. Now 2 months, and I can only output 100-150ml on my own before cathing. Any remedies or advice on how to increase own flow in order to eliminate cathing? Note, I am 69 and problem started 5 months ago with retention that expanded bladder greatly.

I am 19 and have never had sex so it cant be an std. It just stays in place and no matter how hard I squeeze nothing happens. The stone like object doesnt even look like a pimple its just a white ball I cant see a doctor for a few more weeks ....

just got my reports and Uric acid level is 9.5 mg/dL.
Have appointment with doc next week. Is this high enough to cause horrible joint pains which i am experiencing for over a year now.
Probably these levels affect each of us differently but just hoping to get some pointers.

I am a 32 year old man and i had my first gout attack 5 months ago (right knee), my gp put me on allopurinol 300 mg daily . the medication brought my uric acid levels down to around 5 and my gp says this is the target , it took several weeks for the first attack to clear and left me in pain when i walk for months . my uric acid levels are still 5 ish and i have been getting really bad flares in my right foot quite regular 3 times in 4 weeks now , is it meant to be possible to have attacks when on medication . i feel like a oap with this , i don't drink alcohol anymore (since first attack) and eat a low purine diet , if anyone has any advise on this it would be good.

I had some blood tests and my uric acid level was high at 10.4.
After just under 3 weeks of not drinking alcohol and cutting down on the high purine food, this reduced to 8.9
Does anybody know how long diet changes take to affect levels?

Has anyone been successful using natural remedies such as lemon juice and apple cider vinegar in lowering urine calcium and uric acid levels? After several episodes of gross hematuria it was determined that I have bilateral stones. A 24 hr urine test showed elevated calcium and uric acid. I was placed on potassium citrate and hydrochlorothiazide but the medicines have horrific side effects. Also, has anyone experienced elevated blood glucose levels and elevated LFT's after taking these medications?

I have been taking Zyloric 100 for the past couple of years, Uric Acid level was 7.5 prior taking medicine, but during taking medicine it was 4.5, my question, should I continue taking Zyloric, though I never suffered from severe illness, like toe inflammation.
