Is It Possible To Get Tetanus Even If Vaccinated?
Jul 21, 2014
About 3 or 4 days ago i was in taiwan (thursday in taiwan) i was biking and hit a rusty railing and got scraped on my leg. I'm back in the U.S. now and i got a Tdap in 2007. However, since yesterday i have had a stiff jaw, but I'm not sure if this is because or because of the fact that i have a bad teeth clenching/grinding habit or maybe i have tetanus. When i was on the plane back I clenched my teeth pretty hard in my sleep(about 2 days ago) and i had some tooth pain and now my jaw has been stiff for about a day. I'm not sure if i had been clenching my teeth more in my sleep since then. I'm reluctant to go to the doctor because i do not have health insurance.

I got Hep B Vaccinated during birth as my mum has Hep B. It went extremely fine until recently I was required to undergo for Hep B blood test by a GP and my test results showed that HBsAg is reactive, and anti-HB is non reactive (Count < 3.1). Therefore my GP referred me to a hepatologist and he was surprised too as I did not share any needles, etc etc plus I got vaccinated during birth. He said it might be a false positive therefore he sent me for many blood tests including DNA sequencing as well as ultrasound scan and I can only find out the results 2 weeks later. I am extremely worried. Anyone encountered this before?

I received a tetanus toxoid booster in early December. I had no reaction until three weeks later, when I began having shoulder muscle pain and tingling down to my fingers. This pain has lasted 10 days. According to drugs.com this could be a rare reaction but other than "call your doctor" it says nothing about how serious this is or what can be done about it. I called my doctor, who did not think this was serious. Any thoughts?
