Hysterectomy If GNRH Fails To Control Pain?
Jun 20, 2015
My gynae has decided on gnrh for me and I am to start in a couple of weeks. He said 3 months and if my pain does go i need a hysterectomy. If not then my pain is not gynae related. I have no idea whether its just one injection that lasts the 3 months, or monthly or what! I have been given no literature on this, have no idea of possible side effects, just that it will start menopause.

i am having these injections soon and was told only that it would be for three months. I don't know if the injections are weekly, monthly, one off or what. And side effects - all I was told was that it would start menopause. Anyone had these?

I am on my 5th week post-op TAH (removed uterus, cervix and Fallopian tubes). I was recovering well in the past few weeks with reducing pains.
Of all sudden, I had a painful swelling abdominal and soreness/pulling pain around waist yesterday coupled with giddiness and headache. Is it normal having a regression during recovery period? Any remedy members could share esp. now I still can't exercise. I put on an abdominal binder now to ease the pain slightly.

I had a total hysterectomy due to endometriosis. i was put on climaval hrt patches after which caused headaches and pains and i was then changed to livial approx a year ago but for the last 2 to 3 months i have started to experience the abdomen pains, back pains, leg aches, exhaustion, joint pains and bloating etc that i had before my hysterectomy. its not as bad but its still bad enough to cause problems to my everyday life and routine especially with my 4 year old daughter here. please could anyone recommend any other hrt or treatment for hysterectomy after endometrial? i am now taking my co codamol and voltaren tablets for the pain that i was on before my op!

I had my hemorrhoidectomy and they also removed my right ovary in the same operation on 30 March 2016.
It is now 3 April 2016 so it has been 4 days since my op. I had no pain the first 2 days and then the local anesthetic wore off!
Now it is excruciatingly painful. I have found that bathing in a little lukewarm water with 2 hands of salt for 15 minutes help a lot.
And for constipation you can go to your local pharmacy and buy an enima ask them for one that you can drink!
Trust me it is much better than to put a tube up your sore bum!!! The doctor can also prescribe a numbing ointment that helps a lot!!
Goodluck to all my buds out there!!! I know how it feels!!!
One question i have is it normal to still have the swollen loose skin on the outside of your anus?

After a year of pelvic pain and pain during sex I had my mirena removed today. I had one ultrasound done at my gp doctors office, a year ago when the pain during sex started, that stated my iud was seen within my endometrium and extending into my lower uterine segment. My gp, that obvious isn't familiar with iuds at all, wasn't sure whether or not this meant it was embedded. So I went to my gyno who did an ultrasound and said it was in place. I've had 4 ultrasound showing small cyst over the past year but nothing to really explain my pelvic pain. My gyno has been suspects endometriosis. Today I visited my gyno again with increasing pelvic pain and pain during sex mainly focusing on my left side. I had an ultrasound that showed 4 small functional cyst on my left side and one on my right but no real cause for the pain. So I asked to have my iud removed because I feel like I have to eliminate that as a possible cause before I could ever consider laparoscopy to check for endo.
The removal hurt. I hand multiple sharp pains and I felt popping while he was pulling my strings but it did come out. After ward the iud had clear-yellowish stringy tissue attached to the top and bottom of the middle cylinder of the iud. Does this sound like it was slightly embedded or is it normal. And if it does sound like it was slightly embedded is there anything I should watch out for or suspect post-removal?

I am currently on nexplanon. I got it put in on June 2014. Ever since December 2014 I have been having intense lower abdominal pain. It hurts if I try to walk or sit up. It hurts to pee. It feels like a lot of pressure where my female organs are. It's more painful at night and when I'm suppose to have my period. I haven't had a period since September 2014. I spot dark brown/black stuff. I am always dizzy and have headaches I don't know what's wrong. I'm hoping my doctor will let me get an ultrasound.

I have been taking mononessa for almost an entire month. (I have 4 pills left then the reminders). I'm still suffering from severe stomach pain and nausea. Tonight I waited til almost bed time to take it hoping that it will help some. Has anyone else been on this stuff and had similar side effects? I'm to the point where if I am taking it at night and still nauseous all day I will have to stop taking it. Other options?? I need advice. I'm seriously considering tubal ligation but I've battled my weight for the last 3 years. I do not want to put any extra pounds on.

I'm now almost 4 weeks post abdominal and it still hurts to wee. It's not severe but I definitely feel it, especially if I don't go immediately. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I don't have any symptoms of infection and everything seems to be going well with my recovery. I even laid on my stomach in bed last night...for about 10 minutes lol

Off to Endo tomorrow to see what they say, I was wondering if anybody is taking Carbimazole with HRT. Had complete hysterectomy last year so taking HRT and just wondering if this has anything to do with my over active thyroid, a few people spoke to know of women who have had hysterectomy and gone on to have OA thyroid.

I am 67 years of age. In the past year I have begun to have hot flashes again. Is this normal? My doctor said well that is one of those things we have to put up with. I had stopped having problems with hot flashes about 45 years of age or before. When I had total hysterectomy those stopped. Can anyone tell me about why this might be the norm and we have to put up with it until death!

think i've finally hit ground zero after hysterectomy and ovary removal, I'm in my third week. Hot flushes are manageable but the overwhelming feeling of doom and the constant feeling of anxiety is getting to me! Is this it or will I get better? I can't have HRT, I'm taking menopace and I don't want to take anti depressants! I am due to go back to a very stressful job in 3 weeks and am worrying myself sick!

I just turned 49 and have fibroids and thick lining of my uterus. I am told my uterus is the size of a 3 month pregnancy. My periods are always heavy and usually 2 x a month, however the last two months they were normal flow and only lasted 5 days, the last period was very late as well. So apparently my hormones are changing.
Thing is, I need a tummy tuck due to a severe and painful scar from my last c section. I was given the option of having both partial hysto and TT done at the same time but it seems like too much to go through at once.
I am not sure if I NEED a hysterectomy or not, but I do need a TT.
by the way I also seem to suffer from incontinence from time to time and not sure of my large uterus is responsible.

I had a total robotic hysterectomy on 11/17/14. after my 6wk ok for sex, it was very painful, bleeding, watery dishcharge, felt something inside my vag. I went to dr. an he said I had scar tissue and possibly didn't get all my cervix(how is that poss)so he put silver nitrate on it and I went back 4wks. said I still had some so put more silver nitrate on.. went back 2 wks later, said it was all gone and didn't see cervix & I didn't feel anything either (was ok for sex)we had sex 1x and very easy. was painful but not horrible. haven't since until 4/28/15. it was horrible, bleeding, cramps, excruciating pain. deep thrusts especially. since ive had watery yellow discharge (some odor)again -so much its like I pee myself-not pee, and feel a hard, thin something inside vag. (tongue shaped)when i touch it or move it, I instantly cramp bad. I need to know what is going on, y I cant have sex (never had prob presurgery)could it be torn cuff? is that my cervix still left?
