My depression has taken a strange turn recently, whereby I am convinced that something or someone is controlling my emotions and making me say and do stuff i don't want to. I was on the phone to a friend earlier, telling her that I think this. But, as I was saying it, my insides felt really weird and angry, like whatever it is that's controlling me is giving me a sign to shut up.
I feel really angry with myself, and I feel like my mind and thoughts are all jumbled, I was just wondering if anybody has experienced anything similar, and tell me i'm not going crazy?
I'm 18 years old and before a few days we tried to have sex with my boyfriend.Just when he got nearly in he noticed I was bleeding and we didn't continue further more.I started bleeding since that moments and 4 days after. After a week we were trying again but just when we was starting I began bleeding again but this time It felt like my periods and lasted 5 days.The color of the blood was just like periods but I can't go to the doctor and I'm afraid if it's something wrong with me.

I had a big flare in January and was hospitalised after 3 days of constant bleeding, dr's sort of got things under control and I left hospital 4 days later and have just finished 56 days of prednisone but I really don't feel they'd done much good. I'm still loosing a little blood, feel shattered and am now short of breath.

Honestly, I feel like ripping my hair out some days because I want one so badly. It takes everything in me to not grab one an hide it for a day when he is working. It was different when we quit together. But I just don't feel strong enough most days lately. And I want one so badly, it's a lot harder then it should be. I feel like I'm going to snap.

My sister had Knee Surgery on her femur that came un-attached to the knee, she had surgery and they gave her a nerve block and now two days later she can't feel her ankle. It is numb and she can't move it, she can move her toes just not ankle. What do you think, she is in Rehab at hospital right now and they are giving her Physical Therapy but they are worried that she might not get any feeling back. They are going to do a CT SCAN with dye tomorrow. Will continue story but right now has anyone had this problem?
View 1 RepliesA year ago i was diagnosed with depression and i'm on lexapro and risperidone. Then about half a year ago i tried weed. It was the worst experience of my life, my heart was pumping hard a kept burping, every 2 seconds i'd forget everything and re-realize i was high (thinking that the last 2 seconds were a dream), and it would repeat. I begged for it to stop. I thought it was something to do with my depression or something but i don't know. Anyway that's not why i'm here, 2 weeks ago i was sitting in school then the same type of thing happened except not as bad, i thought everything was a dream, i went to the toilet out of fear 3 times in the space of 10 minutes, i couldn't talk to anyone cause i wasn't able to focus on what they were saying. I was lucky because it happened on a half day so i went home 30 minutes later. Later that day i was suddenly better, the whole school day was vague and i barely believed any of it had happened. This has happened twice now in the past 2 weeks and im scared itll happen again.
I thought i had bad memory but i now think it's because every day i have this effect (just not as bad) so when i wake up the next morning i vaguely remember the day before as if it happened 2 weeks ago.
I have depression, some social anxiety, tiredness, laziness, short attention span.
(on a side note i think this is pure coincidence but one of the times it happened was when me and one of my friends were talking and he said 'What if none of this is real like in the matrix?
i smoked some weed with my friends. this my second time, but this time when i got home i suddenly felt so weird. now i feel like everything is fake, im body sometimes goes num. i had a panic attack. i went to the hospital but didn't tell them that i smoked so the doctors didn't do nothing. i swear this is the last time ill ever smoke please somebody give some advice. im only 14 i want to live life to the fullest.
Please tell me is my period flow normal. I used to get 5-6 day periods, heavy for 2 days, medium for 2 days, then light for 1-2 days until it tapered off and ended. It was this way even when I was on birth control.
For the past few months now, I have been getting 3-4 day periods, where the first day is really just some spotting indicating my period is going to be starting. The second day is my heavy day. The third day is medium light. The 4th day is light. I'm still on birth control. I am 30 years old now.
Also last month, my period color was dark brown and I also had some black colored clotting during my heavy day. I know some blood clots are normal during menstruation, I had them all my life. But this blood clot was black. Again this month on my heavy day, I had black colored clot. It was a dime size clot. Size was not large. Is black color clotting anything to worry about? I do not see red blood these past two periods like I am used to seeing. I am seeing mostly brown and/or black.
And how can I increase my menstrual flow. I am worried that my endometrium lining is thinning and can cause a problem when I do try for children.
For the past year i have had many strange symptoms in varying degrees, good days/bad days, good weeks/bad weeks.
Here is a list of my symptoms
Lack of energy, Extreme tiredness/fatigue,feeling faint (although never fainted),dizzy on and off but always dizzy up to a week before my period, one very bad period of 4 months vertigo. Jelly legs,shaky inside, feeling weak as though I've had the flu or something but I've not even had a cold this year.Palpitations, feeling detached, feeling like i'm about to loose consciousness (very odd feeling) the feeling you get just as you are about to go to sleep, Brain fog.Sensitive to light, eyes often become bloodshot. Headaches/migraine. Sometimes feel so cold inside & cannot seem to warm up.Periods of insomnia, bladder irritability especially in week before period, episodes of what i now call bladder fizz where bladder so irritable it feels like i have fizzy liquid in my bladder cannot sleep through this sensation sometimes accompanied by the feeling of a red hot needle going up the urethra (would be interested to know if anyone else gets this & any remedies please? A pain I get on either side low down about where pubic hair begins pain seems to radiate to back & sometimes down into the thigh on the side of where the pain begins, doesn't seem to coincide with ovulation & randomly happens (ibuprofen usually takes it off after a couple of hours) Bloating & times of excessive wind.Monthly cyst like spots on jaw line, hair sprouting on chin & upper lip (invested in a home laser scanner) Hair beginning to thin at temples.
Food cravings for something salty & chocolate particularly before period.
I am almost 53 so after reading forums on here have come to the conclusion that its menopause & not some mysterious illness, thought I might have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, just didn't realise there were so many different symptoms of menopause.
Last year I did have very bad night sweats & hot flushes but they have reduced greatly, I take vit 6, eat plenty of fresh fruit/veg/salads, chicken, fish, flax seeds/chia seeds.
I'm so pleased to have found this forum & to find i'm not the only one suffering through this and not going mad, hope this might help someone else.
having really horrible periods. around when flare ups start. anyone else suffer from this? any tips. very low vit d going appointment this week endocrinologist. be glad for menopause?

View 1 RepliesI have what feels like a sore throat but further down my throat. It comes and goes but it's more late afternoon when it comes on. I don't want to eat as it feels like my food is stuck or talk because it's so sore but when I wake up it's ok? I went to doctors Last week they reduced my beta blockers because I was so zapped out. I mentioned my throat but he wasn't concerned and barely looked. He seemed miffed that the specialist mentioned I need to be careful about sore throats due to thyroid med and white blood cells. He was annoyed about having a blood test. Dr hasn't rung back so I guess that's ok but is my throat normal problem for overactive thyroid.
View 2 Repliesi was diagnosed with hyperthyroid 6 weeks ago, started taking metoprolol 25mg twice a day... on the 4th day i noticed my ears were popping every time i swallowed... and have been ever since. went to ENT today and had a scope done of nose and throat w/everything fine... anyone else had this type of issue?
I finally see specialist tomorrow and hope to get on meds... i have tremors all over body, anxiety, fatigue, high heart rate (120 at times)
Have just been given carbimazole 5mg x 2 a day until I see my endocrinologist in December. I am on propranolol x 10mg x 3 a day. Just a query- when do you stop propranolol?

View 7 RepliesI was just diagnosed with hyperthyroid after plenty of scans, blood work ,etc, Had my needle biopsy come clean as far as no cancer found, I have all the classic hyper symptoms,....tired yet wired. Anyway, my first thought after getting my biopsy results was ' great, I can go on meds and feel better soon'. Wrong. My referred Endoc. Either wants me to do RAI or surgery to remove 1/2 my thyroid. He claims that if the dose of RAI is small enough to where it will target the hot nodule which is spitting out excess hormones causing me to be hyper,.....and that my chances of becoming hypo after RAI in this case are very small, Everything I've read about RAI says otherwise, Why can't I be treated with meds? Just looking for opinions in hopes someone is familiar with hot nodule treatments, I'm new to all this, and learning as I go, I'd love any input from you all, How many have sought 2nd opinions?
