Hypertension :: Regular Twitching In My Right Eyes Due To Blood Pressure?
Mar 15, 2016
I'm 25 and have been diagnosed with high bp (155/100) 4 months before ,my weight was 72 kg that time with height 5'8'' . I had regular twitching in my right eyes afterwards . Doctor first told me to change my lifestyle and i started exercising in evenings for at least 40 minutes .Started eating oats everyday and reduced my weight to 62 kg in 2 months . I got my tests done (ECG,URINE TEST,Cholesterol test ) but all came clear except little increase in URIC ACID. NOW my BP is 135/90.MY Doctor says i need to take medicines for lifetime as i cannot reduce my bp further. PLEASE HELP ME,i'm really worried to have hbp at this age.Should I go for the medicines or not or keep exercising and managing a good diet.

Recently (sunday) i was very angry which probably caused high blood pressure (though i don't have blood pressure originally but i stress out A LOT). After a while, i started feeling slight pressure in my left eye and it is there since then. There are times when it isn't there that much and others when the feeling is there. Today after about a week...i still have that feeling. What could it be...is it just due to hypertension?

I am a fit, healthy 28 year old guy who has spontaneously developed severe high blood pressure, temporal pressure headaches, dizzy spells and blocked ears. The symptoms vary, with acute periods lasting a couple hours and occurring on a weekly basis. Generally an acute period is characterized by severe headaches, needing to lie down, blocked ears and extreme lethargy.
I have had CT’s and MRI’s of the brain and cervical spine, PET scans, ECHO’s, a multitude of blood tests and various other tests with no abnormalities.
I gym 4 times a week, eat healthy and work as a hairdresser, so my lifestyle is pretty healthy overall.
This condition is starting to limit my lifestyle and with two years of no answers I am putting it out there for someone to recognize or provide advice about what could potentially be going on!

I gave blood mid January 2014 after registering some high blood pressure readings ( systolic up around 155) and reading saga study results suggesting benefit. I had previously tried reducing this through more exercise, and eating more healthily. Initially after giving blood the systolic remained elevated at 160. However it later reduced to 135. Three months later my BP is around 88/138 - so still a little on the high side, but still much reduced from the elevated levels previously.
Also taking CoQ10, but not eating a very good diet.
Anyway - just for those who are interested giving blood (especially for men who drink too much), can help.

Two years ago I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. My pressure was at 38. I lived in pure worry for 6 months and went back again and it was 32. I still live in fear and my doctors acted like it was not a huge deal but want to see my every 6 months. They did an echo and EKG. I don't go back again until March but for the last week my right lung feels like its being squeezed and then I can't get any air. I'm so scared but I also have bad anxiety and panic. I just feel like k can't get any air in my right lung. When I lay down it somewhat goes away. I'm 31 and somewhat overweight. I have a lot of stress because my mom just passed away. I also have two kids and am scared I'm gonna die all the time. Just wondering if anyone else has this or is it my anxiety. I read online about how bad pulmonary hypertension and am in constant worry

I am on 20 mg lisinopril and 12.3 diuretic. I have to start flying a lot, I am terrified because my pressure is never stable and spikes like crazy even under slightly stressful circumstances.
I read that flying increases blood pressure and puts some at a risk for clots and pulmonary embolism. What should I do?

I am a 32 year old male and currently my BP is 225/180. And that is on Adalat XL, HCT, Carvedilol and Fosinopril.
Other than hypertension I am a healthy non smoker, likes a glass of vino every now and again, tried weed once when I was 16 and no other drug use ever. I am an avid mountain biker, always hiking outdoors with my dogs. I am 6'1 265lbs, I do crossfit and power lift (although I have gained 10 lbs since taking a break for a minor shoulder/bicep strain)
Doctors have given me meds for depression and anxiety and ruled those out. Have had MRI, CT, MIBG, ECG's, EEG,s ultrasounds looking for pheochromocytoma.
My last heart trace showed abnormal T-waves showing my heart is starting to see stress, and this does worry me.
One sign of my high blood pressure is suboccipital pain, while always there it does increase in relation to my BP. While doing physio for my shoulder my therapist indicated there is some artery impingement in my neck. Having read that the carotid artery do to constriction can cause impingement on the vagus nerve, is it possible that the suboccipital pain isn't a result of hypertension but a causing factor?

I have sporadic periods of hypertension where my bp will spike well over 160/110. They can last for days, or just an hour, but it is causing me a lot of problems because they can occur at anytime. When the bp spikes happen at night, I wake up shaking. I cannot take beta blockers because they make my bp go even higher. I am taking clonidine when I have these spikes. I am unable to take any other blood pressure medicine because at times my blood pressure is normal and bp meds will make it go too low. I have been tested for a pheochromocytoma, sometimes the tests are positive and sometimes they are negative. I also am hypokalemic and take quite a bit of potassium daily.
In addition I have extreme fatigue, shaking from time to time, muscle pain/weakness. I usually am hot when others in the same room are fine, and have episodes of sweating and facial flushing. I run a fever from time to time, have a rash from time to time and tinnitus. I also have sleep apnea and sleep with a CPAP every night.

Recently i have been diagnosed with hypertension. My BP varies in range of 130-140 and 80-90. I am not on medicine yet to lower BP. Trying to control by physical activities and diet plan.
I have been on Zyrtec D (syrup) daily dosage of 2.5-5 ml for past 6 years.
Can prolonged use of this medicine cause hypertension?

My partner just used a home blood pressure monitor and got a very high reading. Concerned, he is going to see a doctor this week. He's overweight and his weight has fluctuated for years, although he is losing weight now and seems to have a diet and exercise regime that are working.
The thing is I have no idea how long he has had high blood pressure. Is it likely it could have already caused damage that is irreversible? He's only 24, but he is going into a very stressful profession and I'm worried about his long term health.

I was looking at my past medical records and I't appears that I have had elevated BP for the past 5 years and now it is approx. 170/100. I have taken good care of myself all my life (never smoked, never drank, not overweight, never even had a cup of coffee) and feel awful about going on meds. My wife says its time. Are BP meds a forever thing?

I'm 37, my hight 1.80 and I weight 79 kg. My average blood pressure is 138/90. My GP prescribed me Ramipril 1.25mg.
I reduced my salt intake, stopped drinking caffeine, stopped drinking alcohol and started going to the gym regularly. I completely changed my life style.
What I would like to know is: If my blood pressure comes back to normal after the treatment, can I stop taking blood pressure medicine or I have to take it for the rest of my life?

i am not overweight. Drink a healthy smoothie and whole grain cereal almost every morning yet my BP is still high. (100/170). I was told it may be because of elevated insulin levels caused by the fruit drinks and whole grains (as well as the potato, rice, pasta and breads) that I eat. These are things that easily break down into sugars and cause the issue. (Basically a carb issue). Am I supposed to go on one of those caveman diets? Has anyone tried lowering their carb intake to lower their BP?

I was on diltiazem (cartia) for several years. It eventually raised my blood sugar level and I was diagnosed with diabetes 2. My blood pressure was not going down, so they took me off diltiazem 240mg, and put me on lisinopril 5mg.
The lisinopril gave me a dry cough, so I was put on losartan 25mg. I asked why not 5 mg and my NP told me because it doesn't come in 5mg....

Hiya for the last 7 months I have experienced visual problems and hearing loss that make me feel dissociated/depersonalized (out of it) 24/7 and I am unable to function and unable to concentrate. I get a lot of pain in my back shoulders and neck, and a lot of pressure in my face head eyes and neck, that radiates to my entire body and makes me extremely fatigued. these are the main symptoms that are bothering me the biggest one being "this out of it" feeling! does anyone else experience this?
